I had 94.399 percentile in MHT-CET and I got the college in my 3rd Cap round for Civil Engineering. If you've above 85 percentile you can try in the spot round too. I got TFWS seat so I got a benefit of 15000/- over fees. There was no such difficulty in admission process. For the cut-off's you can go through CET website.

The cutoff was above 140 for open during my time that is 2017 right now the cutoffs have decreased and you might get admission at 130 above marks in mht cet. It is autonomous college and exam is semester pattern

I gave JEE and got through it to get into the college I'm in right now Admission process was smooth and nice. The cut of was 60 I suppose I'm not sure too well I got 79 in JEE. I got into the college through the csab neut counseling.
Students are required to clear MHTCET with a good score of a minimum 97 percentile if they are in a general category. Students have to move through CAP rounds as decided by the MHTCET cell. Students of SC/ST or OBC quota can avail benefits of percentile reduction as well they would be having a discounted fee of 4,648 which is very great for them. Students of the EWS category are too eligible for similar but a little tighter benefits.
Sardar Patel College of Engineering is a government-aided autonomous College. For admission to any college courses, you have to appear in MHT CET. The admission process is held in cap rounds. There are 3 cap rounds and the last spot round in the admission process. Branch-wise cut-off is varying for different branches. Admission is based on a merit list. JEE quota is also available.
The admission process is fine , students are selected on basis of scores secured in JEE Mains , MHTCET and in addition to caste based reservation some seats are also reserved for students from Jammu and Kashmir. The college faculty is very cooperative and medium of communication within in college is English. however , the college is in Maharashtra so most of the students are from Maharashtra only.
SPCE, VJTI both required JEE main percentile for admission in 2015. Since these are one of the top colleges, the cutoff is pretty high but depends on the branch you have opted for. The admission process includes applying for the process and providing options for colleges you may like to get in, followed by allotment of college and then confirmation of admission.
SPCE being autonomous has it's own unique curriculum which is some what similar to IITB curriculum. All professors are have mostly done their graduation from iits and top nits and have Also done mtech and PhD. Student to faculty ratio is 1:10 . Exams are conducted timely as per schedule and passing exams is relatively difficult as the papers are set by teachers and not Mumbai university. The passing rate of first year civil of last year's batch was 40% for all subjects clear percentage. So yeah exams are tough to clear .
Curriculum is a little old fashioned. But a change is Definitely on its way. Course has all the basics. Could be a little more progressive with semester long internships and more case study based projects. All faculty have a PHD. Environmental and construction management faculty is great.
Most of the Faculty-members are P.Hd holders with wide-subject knowledge as well as application-based knowledge. However, there are exceptions to this as some faculty-members dont teach well and we have to rely on reference books for studying it for the exam.Course curriculum is pretty standard but professors do add new technological advances in the curriculum(like softwares used in industry) and update it from time to time making it in accordance with the Industry standards.Faculties are easily approachable and are quite helpful, they will go out of the way to help any particular student. Here, a student gets good exposure and peer to peer learning is great as the crowd is quite geeky (studious).

You can get any branch at KJ Somaiya with 140 in MH CET 2022, if you have Gujrati minority. But if you are a general category student, getting branches like CSE/IT will be difficult with 140 scores. These are among the most opted branches and KJ Somaiya Cutoff remains above 150-160 for CSE/IT (general category).
