Faculty

Faculty to Students ratio is good and almost every faculty is dedicated towards their specific subject. Doubt clearing happens in the lecture itself instead of later keeping the student waiting which is a good thing. Depending on the semester there are around 4-5 written exams. Passing these exams is not very tough with very few number of students failing that also mostly bacause of personal or circumstantial reasons.

Course Curriculum Overview

All of subject and skills they teach in college are relevent to today's technology and college also arranges time to time guest sessions of people from specific skills or tech background for more detailed insight into industry. With use of modern technology, material and notes to teach and assessment too.

Tesseract is a 3 day event held in the odd semester in October that involves various activities from different science and tech clubs and it is concluded with an EDM night. Flare is also a 3 day event held in the even semester in March commencing with different activities by the social and cultural clubs and ends with an Artist Performance on the last Day (Previous performers include KK, Gajendra Varma,Sachet Parampara). The laboratories are well equipped and contain almost everything that you need. There is also a high end Apple Lab consisting solely of M1 iMacs and there are a few Mac Studios ss well. The library is well stocked and there are 3 of them throughout the campus. Each catering to different domains (Engineering,Liberal Studies, Management). The Sports facilities are also pretty good with a 400m track , Football Field , Basketball court , Tennis Court , Kabaddi Ground. The student run clubs are also a great way to network and get more out of your college experience.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:25. Faculties are pretty chill and approachable. There are generally 2 written exams per semester. One Mid Semester and One End Semester exam. The Mid Semester exam is of 25 marks and contributes to 25% of the marks of a subject. The End Semester exam is of 100 marks and contributes to 50% of the weightage. The remaining 25% of the marks are a component of the Internal Assessment and include quizes, assignments and projects. The exams are moderately difficult and easy if you study regularly but it is still possible to clear them by pulling an all nighter, although I wouldn't recommend it. The course curriculum as I said before is pretty similar to other tier 3 colleges but there have been recent updates to make it more relevant to current industry trends. Faculty Members are also pretty mixed with some demanding discipline and order while others being more liberal and understanding.

Campus Life

My overall campus life experience at rajarambapu institute of technology has been quite good, especially in terms of social activities, infrastructure and student involvement. The main annual fest of the college is "Virangula", which is usually held in the last week of february. During the same period, the college also organizes a science exhibition where students present thier projects and innvoations. Apart from this, traditional days and various cultural activities are also celebrated. Different departments conduct thier own technical events and competitions, which gives students a chance to learn and participate. The library is one of the strong points of the college. It is very big and well maintained with a wide range of books, reference materials and journals available for differnrt branches. Students can easily access study materials whenever required. In terms of classrooms, the infrastructure is modern. Most classrooms are equipped with digital boards, which makes teaching more interactive. Students are also provided with digital ID card for campus use. For sports and extracurricular activites, the college has good facilities. There are separate and stadium for sports like cricket, football, basketball and tennis. The campus alsohas a well equipped gym with advanced machines for students. There aare many technical and non technical clubs on campus. These clubs organize events, workshops and competitions, whichhelpstudents improve thier skills, build confidence and interact with others. Overall, the campus life is active and supports both academics and personal development.

Faculty

In my college, the faculty memeners are generallly supportive and approachable. the faculty-to-student ratio is decent and most teachers are ready to help student after lectures or dueing practical sessions. Student can easily clear their doubts, and the overall teacher- student relationship is positive. Some of the faculties i personally liked are Yogesh Patil sir, who taught us Graphics and Smita Salunke mam who taught PPS. Thier teaching style was clear and easy to understand. They explained concept step by step and were always ready to solve doubts, which made the subjects more interesting and easy to learn. One faculty I didn't find very comfortable learning from was Khedkar Sir for mathematics, mainly beacause the teaching speed was quite fast, which made it difficult to follow some topic properly. In terms of exam, there are two unit tests ( UT1 and UT2) and then the End Semester Exam (ESE). The unit test are usually easier and help students prepare for the final exam. The end semester exam is a bit more difficult compared to the unit tests, but student attend lectures regulsrly and study properly, it is manageable. The number of student failing is not very high and most students are able to pass with regular study. The course curriculum is quite relevant to engineering and includes both theory and practical subjects. it focusses on building basics cocept as well as technical skills, which are helpful fpr further studies and placement.

Internships Opportunities

My college is really great when it comes to internships. We can start applying from the semester. A lot of students get internships through the Training and Placement Cell. Some students also get internships on their own by applying off campus. The companies that come to our college for placements are very good. They offer internships with money and a chance to get a job offer before they even graduate, which is called a Pre-Placement Offer. This happens if the student does a job during the internship. My college and the Training and Placement Cell help students get these internship opportunities. The internship opportunities are a plus, for my college. There are some companies that offer internships. These companies include NVIDIA, JPMorgan Chase, Barclays, PhonePe, Microsoft, BMC Software and Citi Bank. Then there are companies that focus on services. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Capgemini also offer internship programs to students. NVIDIA and Microsoft and other companies like these are really good, for internships. Internship roles are usually things like Software Developer Intern or Data Analyst Intern. You also have Web Developer Intern and Machine Learning Intern and Business Analyst Intern. The money you get which is called a stipend is different for each company and role. It can be as low as ?10,000 per month or as high as ?1,00,000 per month. Some companies that make good products might even give you a higher stipend, than that for a Software Developer Intern or a Data Analyst Intern or any other type of intern. Students do projects that are actually used in the world. They make web applications, tasks that businesses do create models that use machine learning make dashboards to analyze data and build systems that run in the background. These internship programs help students learn what it is like to work in a company get better at the technical skills they need and meet people who work in the same field as the students. Students work on these

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee that we pay every year in my college is different for each student. It depends on what kind of student you're if you get any help from the government. For students who're in the Open category we have to pay around ?2,12,000 every year. This includes the money we pay to learn the money we pay for the college to get better the money we pay to the university the money we pay to take exams the money we pay to be eligible and the money we pay for insurance. For students who're in the OBC, EBC, EWS and SEBC categories the college fee is around ?1,22,600, per year which is what the college says we have to pay. I am, from the SEBC category and I get the MAHADBT Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Scholarship. The MAHADBT Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Scholarship is really helpful. It pays a part of my tuition fee. So I only have to pay some fees. These fees are development fees which're ?26,870, university and miscellaneous fees which are ?2,444 examination fees which are ?2,420 eligibility fees which are ?600 and student insurance which is ?701. The MAHADBT Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Scholarship does not pay these fees. I have to pay them myself. My payable fee is actually a lot lower when I compare it to the fees that students in the Open category have to pay. This is really helpful, for me because my effective payable fee is much lower. The fees for categories like Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students are around ?6,000 to ?7,000 per year. This is what they pay after they get their scholarship benefits. On the hand the students who are under the Tuition Fee Waiver scheme pay, about ?33,000 every year. The university fees do not change much from one year to another.. Sometimes the fees can go up a little bit. This happens when the university or the government issues rules. Overall, the college provides multiple scholarship options through MAHADBT, making education affordable for students from reserved and economically weaker categories.

Faculty student ratio is good. Every section has around 60 students and provide daily 6 hours classes in each section. Faculty is very good and we can learn many things by them. I liked Mr. Brahmmdutt Bohra sir. They teach us Computer programming like C, C++ and OOPs. There is no faculty that I didnt liked but some subjects like chemistry and Manufactory lab is very boring as a computer science student. They take 3 Mid term exams. In first two mid terms, they take written test, and third mid term contains Assignments, surprise tests, Quiz and projects in lab. and 1 end semester exam in the end. level of mid terms exam papers is high then end semester exams. So the some student gets failed in mid term but secure good in end semester exam.

I am currently a fiist semester at ck.pithawala college and my views are based on my initial academic experience at the institute. The faculty members at college are supportive khowledgeable and approachable especially for first year student who are new to the engineering environment. Teacher explain concept in a clear and structured manner which helps student understand fundamental subjects effectively.Faculty members encourage student to ask question and clear doubts during leacture as weel as after class hours. The faculty -to-student ratio is satisfactory allowing student to receive proper attention during lectures and practical sessions. Most faculty memebers folow the syllabus prescribed by the unversity ans ensure that the course is completed on time. The also provide guidance realated to examination internal assessment and academic improvement. The teaching methods include classroom lectures presentation blackboard explanations and practical demonstrations in laboratories.Faculty members focus on building strong basics which is very helpful for first year student .Some teachers also use digital tools and reference materials to enhance understanding of difficult topics.

Faculty

Well i will like to say that all faculty members tries their best to engage with students and are helpful and gives good guidance well that being said their efforts are not always enough, a little twist in studying is good for us students but not every teacher is able to do that few of the teachera that i like are Nancy maam Anand sir Rakhi maam And our hod shubhangi maam I like this teachers because they can really teach and keep our attention on the subject by taking interesting live examples from our life or even the classroom which makes it interesting and adds flavor to it so we like to sit their classes and not bunk lol Where as the teachers that i don't like are Mukta maam Neelima maam Christu maam The reason i don't like their class is because we are not in school we are in college we need extra efforts from them to make the class interesting and learning I'm not saying they don't try but what I'm saying is they don't try enough we as students think if they become more frank and take interesting real life examples then it would be fun to seat in their classes but they don't do that making it a boring class they do take live examples but it seems that they are not trying enough other than this 3 teachers all teachers are good just not my favorite And About exams tho teachers arw good they dont do favoritism to any students and all teachers cover all important topic and logic behind it so if you attend classes exams will be easy for you! And exams are also set properly

Campus Life

So in every old sem we have faces events everyone is excited for it as all field like cs extc mechanical and others compete with each other in many amazing contest the most intense one is sports and in sports the most intense one is football We cam literally see boys crying after the loose a match cause all matches are so intensely played they give it all, all faculty encourage us to take part in events and we do cause its amazing and a good break from studies Our library contain most of all book that we need and even if they don't we can just ask then to order and they do which is an amazing opportunity for us! The facilities I'll say is normal in classroom not to fancy or to shabby just normal classroom with strength of 70 students a black board and a Projector We have lots of groups and clubs like rhythm club, there are aiml club, robotic club everything is interesting but we need to give interviews for the particular groups and club and if we clear we can be a part of it

The Library has 20 Personal Computers not even a single is in working Condition. Sports Department is often good , every game is available. But no Yoga Slots avaiable. There are students which are running some groups like reading and movie clubs. An online IDE is preinstalled inside it making it vibrant cooler , learning modules and much more.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Sepcialities that influenced me is the Course Details which include almost every aspect of Technical Knowledge and Programming Skills as well as it also helps in improving and seeing the world around us. Small things even matter , when you understand the world using this infinite set of knowledge. The Course curriculum is quiet often good when we talk about real world application its good but some parts are not too used in our real life and Further academics. But some parts like Sets and Relation are also in our M.tech.This syllabus prepare us for competitive exams like Gate.Areas that should be improved are basically the real world working , knowledge is too much but not relevant. It should actually contain real life Day to Day Technologies and gadgets.Teaching methods should include animated videos and Specially actual knowledge rather than just craming and reading Slides. The actual is what rather than actual text written in reference and Textbooks. They should give students an opportunity for students to make own apps? rather than using Premade apps. No innovations are open yet , which is really bad thing. The Timming of exams is good and quiet perfect.

Ques. Which Amrita branch is better for CSE, Amritapuri or Coimbatore?

● Top Answer By Rupal Bhatt on 04 May 26

Ans. Amrita CSE — Amritapuri (Kerala) vs Coimbatore — a question many Amrita applicants struggle with. Here's the honest comparison. Amrita Coimbatore (main campus, Tamil Nadu): Largest campus, best placement infrastructure. Placement rate CSE: ~78-82%. Average CSE CTC: ~8-10 LPA (2024). Top: ?25-35 LPA. Strong in software companies + semiconductor firms (Qualcomm, TI). Better alumni network in Chennai/Bangalore tech ecosystem. Research: Strong DST/ISRO funded research groups. Amrita Amritapuri (Kollam, Kerala): Smaller campus, more focused environment. Placement rate: ~70-75%. Average CSE CTC: ~6-8 LPA. Strong in specific niches: Cybersecurity research (Amrita has a well-known cybersecurity lab here), AI research. Campus culture: More serene, spiritually-oriented (main campus of the ashram). Fewer large IT companies visit compared to Coimbatore. Verdict for CSE specifically: For placement quantity and quality: Coimbatore > Amritapuri — not even close. For research in Cybersecurity/AI: Amritapuri has niche excellence. For campus experience: Both good, Amritapuri more tranquil. If you're choosing purely for career outcomes: Go to Coimbatore. If you have a specific research interest in cybersecurity and are interested in the research culture: Amritapuri is genuinely excellent for that specific path.Read more

Ques. Which should my daughter choose, a CSE from IGDTUW or a ECE from NSIT/DTU/IIIT Delhi?

● Top Answer By Kavita Yadav on 04 May 26

Ans. this is actually a really good question and the answer depends on what career path your daughter is aiming for. CSE at IGDTUW — it's an all-women's government university in Delhi, excellent campus environment for women students, strong alumni network in Delhi tech companies, government college fees (very affordable), and CSE is the best branch to be in for software careers. the women-only campus is a genuine advantage in terms of safety and focused academic culture. ECE at NSIT/DTU/IIIT Delhi — all three are mixed-gender, more prestigious institutions. IIIT Delhi ECE specifically is excellent for tech — the institute has a strong coding culture and ECE students regularly get SWE roles. DTU and NSUT ECE are decent but the branch doesn't give the same software career advantage as CSE. honest recommendation: if she wants a software/tech career — CSE at IGDTUW is probably better than ECE at DTU/NSUT. branch matters more than college here if the option is ECE at IIIT Delhi specifically — that's a tough call, IIIT Delhi is genuinely strong and ECE students do well in placements there for family comfort and safety — IGDTUW being all-women and govt-managed is a significant factor for many familiesRead more

Ques. What is the difference between COE and CSE at Thapar University?

● Top Answer By Vivek Sharma on 03 May 26

Ans. COE vs CSE at Thapar — this is a question that really matters for career outcomes at Thapar, and most answers are vague. Here's the concrete difference. CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) at Thapar: Standard software/CS curriculum: Programming, DSA, OS, DBMS, Networks, AI/ML electives. Placement: High demand from IT companies. ~92-95% placement rate. Average ~12-14 LPA for CSE specifically at Thapar. Industry perception: Strong for software development, SDE roles. COE (Computer Engineering) at Thapar: More hardware-software overlap: Includes digital circuits, microprocessors, embedded systems, VLSI alongside software CS subjects. In practice: Very similar to CSE at the coursework level — 70-80% overlap. Industry perception: Essentially treated the same as CSE by most IT recruiters. Companies don't distinguish significantly between CSE and COE for SDE roles. Placement: Similar to CSE — both strong. COE slightly lower avg (10-12 LPA) in some years due to lower volume of hardware-specific companies visiting. Key takeaway: For software career: CSE = COE in outcome. Don't stress the difference. For hardware/embedded/VLSI: COE provides slightly better foundation. If CSE cutoff is too high and you can get COE: Take COE without worry. Career paths and recruiter access are nearly identical. Thapar's course registration system also lets COE students take CS electives freely — further reducing any difference in practice.Read more

Ques. Which is better, CSE or CSAI in IIIT Delhi?

● Top Answer By Rhea Kapoor on 01 May 26

Ans. IIIT Delhi has both CSE and CSAI (Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence). here's what's actually different: CSE: core computer science curriculum — algorithms, OS, databases, networks, systems. the broadest CS program. placements ~96-97%. admission purely via JEE Main/JAC Delhi rank. CSAI (CS + AI): focuses on AI, ML, deep learning, data science alongside core CS fundamentals curriculum has more math (linear algebra, probability, optimization) and AI-specific courses same JEE Main admission route placements comparable to CSE (~95%+) slightly newer program, hence somewhat less proven alumni network than CSE which is better? honestly for most software career paths, both are equivalent. companies recruiting at IIIT Delhi don't strongly distinguish between CSE and CSAI at the interview stage. but: if you want to go into AI/ML research or product roles specifically — CSAI is a better fit because the curriculum is more focused if you want general software engineering flexibility — CSE keeps all doors open CSAI's heavy math requirement means it's tougher if math isn't your strength both are excellent. if you're genuinely into AI/ML, CSAI is a meaningful differentiator. if you're undecided about specialization, CSE is safer.Read more

Ques. What is difference between CSE and csd coures at IIIT Delhi?

● Top Answer By Krishna Mishra on 30 Apr 26

Ans. CSE and CSD at IIIT Delhi are more different than most people think — they're not just the same course with a design elective thrown in. CSE (Computer Science and Engineering): pure CS program, admission purely through JEE Main/JAC Delhi rank. standard 4-year B.Tech. CSD (Computer Science and Design): it's a hybrid program integrating CS with Design/HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) — visual design, UX, multimedia, graphics alongside core CS admission is different from CSE — uses both JEE rank AND class 12 percentage in criteria. this allows some students who scored well in 12th but couldn't get a high enough JEE rank to access IIIT Delhi from 3rd year, CSD students do extra design projects every semester on top of regular coursework — the workload is higher placements are similar to CSE (~95%+), slightly lower avg package historically but improving key thing most answers get wrong — CSD is NOT a dual degree in the traditional sense. it's a 4-year B.Tech in CSD, not CSE + MS. the degrees awarded are different. verdict: if you want pure software career — CSE is simpler and cleaner. if you're genuinely interested in design + tech (UX, product design, graphics) — CSD is genuinely unique and worth it. don't take CSD just to get into IIIT Delhi if you hate design.Read more

Ques. What will be the fees for a management quota in either MIT Pune or VIT Pune for B.Tech in CSE?

● Top Answer By Manoj Sinha on 30 Apr 26

Ans. Management quota fees for MIT Pune and VIT Pune BTech CSE — these are among the most-searched admission questions in Maharashtra, and the numbers change each year. Here's the current picture. MIT Pune (Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Kothrud): Management quota tuition: approximately ?2.2-2.5 lakhs/year (vs. state merit quota ~?1.5-1.8L/year). Unofficial donation/capitation (informal reports): ?5-10 lakhs for CSE management quota — NOT officially acknowledged or receipted. Total 4-year cost (official fees only): ~?9-11 lakhs tuition + ?4-6L hostel = ~?15-17L. VIT Pune (Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Bibwewadi): Management quota tuition: approximately ?1.8-2.2 lakhs/year (slightly lower than MIT Pune). Similar informal reports of unofficial donations for CSE — unverifiable officially. Total 4-year: ~?8-10 lakhs tuition + hostel. How to avoid capitation entirely: Apply through DTE Maharashtra's CAP (Centralized Admission Process) . Even management quota seats are increasingly being filled via CAP in recent years. JEE Main score + 12th board marks both considered in CAP — a decent JEE score can get you these colleges without any unofficial payment. Both colleges are good (NAAC A+), but for pure placement: MIT Pune has slightly stronger brand in Pune's engineering ecosystem. VIT Pune is comparable. Ques. My JEE main rank is 10000. Can I get computer science in NIT Trichy?

● Top Answer By Meenal Agarwal on 29 Apr 26

Ans. JEE Main rank 10000 for NIT Trichy CSE — this is a very asked question. let's be specific: NIT Trichy CSE is one of the most competitive programs at any NIT. recent closing ranks (JoSAA counseling): Home State Tamil Nadu (HS quota): CSE closes around rank 1,500-2,500. at rank 10,000 even HS quota won't get you CSE Outside State (OS quota): CSE closes around rank 500-1,000. rank 10,000 is way beyond this so ngl bro, rank 10,000 cannot get you CSE at NIT Trichy through JoSAA. it's one of the most competitive CSE programs in the NIT system. what you CAN get at NIT Trichy with rank 10,000: Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, Civil (HS quota). Mech might be borderline. better strategy: at rank 10,000 you should target CSE at NIT Warangal (HS quota Telangana only), or CSE/ECE at NIT Rourkela, MNIT Jaipur, MNNIT Allahabad, NIT Calicut (non-core branches). check josaa.admissions.nic.in for current year cutoffs.Read more

Ques. How does CS at IIIT Hyderabad compare to BITS Pilani?

● Top Answer By Ajay Rathi on 28 Apr 26

Ans. this is one of India's best CS comparisons. both are excellent but quite different in character: IIIT Hyderabad CSE: research powerhouse. one of the best research environments in India for CS — NLP, AI, Vision, Speech research groups are world-class dual degree (BTech + MS) is very popular and opens strong PhD paths abroad admission via UGEE (their own exam) + JEE Main score. Hyderabad city location placements: avg ~Rs.25-35 LPA. top packages from Google, Microsoft, FAANG-level. strong for research-oriented careers small batch, high peer quality, intense academics BITS Pilani CSE: industry-focused academic freedom. zero attendance, you manage your own time Practice School internship at Google, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs etc. — massive differentiator for industry careers admission via BITSAT only (not JEE) placements: avg ~Rs.25-30 LPA. similar range to IIIT-H but more industry-facing legendary campus culture, Oasis/Apogee fests, strong alumni network which is better? if you want research, PhD abroad, or academic career — IIIT Hyderabad is the better choice. if you want industry, startup exposure, or flexibility — BITS Pilani's practical approach is superior. both are genuinely elite for CS in India.Read more
