Course Curriculum Overview
The GVAIET curriculum is relevant and covers important topics, which made me choose this course. It balances theory and practicals, preparing us for jobs and further studies. Exams are twice a semester, moderately tough but fair. More hands-on labs and interactive teaching would improve learning.
Internships Opportunities
GVAIET gives internship chances in 3rd and final year. Some students get into companies like Wipro or local startups for roles like web or app development. Few internships give ?5k-10k stipend. We worked on small projects like websites or apps. It helps for real work experience.
Placement Experience
At GVAIET, placements start from the 7th semester. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, and Capgemini come for recruitment. Highest package is about ?7 LPA, average around ?3.5 LPA. Around 70-80% students get placed. Most jobs are in software. After my degree, I plan to work in software or do further studies
Fees and Financial Aid
GVAIET college fee for Open category is 75,000 yearly. After EWS, I pay 50,000. I also got 20,000 scholarship. SC/ST pay around 8,000, OBC pay ?40000-50000. Hostel fees extra. No fee hike in 2023-2026 batch. The college helps students with scholarships. Fees are reasonable for the facilities provided.
Campus Life
Campus life at GVAIET is fun and active. Cultural Fest happens in February, and TechFest in March. The library has many books and journals. Classrooms are good; some have projectors. Labs have smart boards for better learning. Sports like cricket and volleyball are available. There are clubs for coding and cultural activities. Student groups help with events and info sharing, making campus lively.
Hostel Facilities
The GVAIET hostel has basic facilities like bed, table, chair, and cupboard, usually shared by two students. Water and electricity are mostly available. Mess food is simple vegetarian, decent but not great. Registration was easy and fees affordable. The hostel is close to college, and the area is safe.
Admission
l applied to other colleges like VJTI and Sardar Patel but got admission only at GVAIET. I chose GVAIET because of good faculty, updated syllabus, and better placements. I missed other colleges due to lower entrance ranks. Admission here is through CAP counselling based on MHT-CET. Eligibility is HSC and Diploma. MHT-CET is the most preferred exam, and cutoffs are reasonable. The admission process was smooth and well-organized.
Faculty
Teachers at GVAIET are very supportive and always ready to help. The course curriculum is updated and relevant to industry needs. Exams are fair and well-structured. Faculty provide good guidance and motivate students. Overall, the teaching and learning experience here is excellent and prepares us well for our careers.
Interview Experience
The admission was based mainly on MHT-CET exam scores through CAP counselling. The process involved document verification and seat allotment. Preparation focused on scoring well in MHT-CET by practicing PCM subjects and previous papers. Overall, admission was straightforward without extra tests.
Night Life
Nightlife around GVAIET is calm and safe. The college closes at 8 PM, and the hostel closes at 11 PM. The cafeteria also closes early, so students mostly hang out in the hostel after classes. Nearby, there are some cafes and small food spots open late where students like to go. The area is safe to walk around in groups at night. Most students spend time chatting, playing games, or watching movies in the hostel. It's a good balance between fun and study.
