About Bhavan's College
Bhavan's College is a prominent institute in Mumbai and also one of the affiliated colleges of Mumbai University. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as BA, B.Com., BMM and M.Sc. with multiple specializations to 5,000 students. The college has developed a well-experienced and professional faculty of 150 academic teachers for the guidance and overall development of the students. The college has been ranked at 10th position for Commerce among Mumbai Colleges by India Today in 2021.
Besides this Bhavan's College has also obtained 88th position for Arts by India Today in 2021. The admission to all the UG courses is provided on the basis of merit scores achieved by the students in the class 10+2 level board examination whereas, for PG courses, the candidate has to qualify for the bachelor’s degree examination with the minimum required marks from a recognized university. The college also provides financial assistance to the students in the form of scholarships based on their academic performance and needs. In terms of placements, the placement cell of the college invites many national and multinational companies for the placement program every year. Some of the major recruiters are Cytel and TCS. The college has an excellent placement record of around 60% with the average salary package offered was INR 4 LPA.

- All facilities were up to par, but the sports facilities in the college were the best.
- Although I was doing a 4-month internship, the college cooperation was great.

- No, at least in my time, there were no internships provided. It was just a regular college. We used to go there, and if we wanted to join, we needed to hunt for jobs.
- There are placement opportunities, but they are very disheartening for the students. The last interview I attended through college was very disappointing for me, as the workplace was not in proper condition for working and the interviewers were less interested.

- The infrastructure is admirable as huge and specious buildings are alloted for various departments. There is an in built xerox shop in the campus itself which makes things easy. There is a botanical garden in the campus as well.

- The management needs to improve. Many official notices are posted on the last moment creating chaos.
- The curriculum is too theoretical. Some practical aspects are major missing.

The eligibility includes a candidate to be passed out from any certified board from India from standard 12th. The application form can be found on the college website itself. The eligibility criteria are that the student should have 45% above marks in HSC with a science background. If the student is a commerce background the maths is compulsory. First, the student has to fill Mumbai University form and then visit Bhavans website which is bhavans.ac.in. We get all the forms over there and fill them in online mode. Reservation faculties are also available for SC/OBC they have fewer fees compared to the open category.

The admission was based on merit, and the first cutoff was 92, we got 3 merit lists and I got my name in the 3rd one. There is a quota system for which you have to submit the cast certificate. Though I’ve applied in the open (general) category. The procedure is very simple, you have to fill out the online form from Bhavan's website and as soon as the dates are out of the list then you can check out from the official website itself. If your name is mentioned in the merit list then the college will ask you to come to college and submit your documents.

Yes, Bhavan College has BMS Course available for the students.
Bhavan College does not charge fees semester-wise but year-wise. The first year fee of the course is INR 17,785.
Bhavan’s College does not offer any pharmacy-related courses either at UG or PG level. So there is no pharmacy entrance examination conducted by the college for admission.
