As a third year student of MCE at DTU, I can only tell you about my college and branch- The curriculum of MCE is a mixture of Mathematics, Computer Science and Finance. This branch will equip you for a career in three fields. The focus is more on Mathematics, but CS is an important part. MCE offers good placements. Graduates get job offers from top brands like Amazon, Flipkart, etc. MCE gives competition to well-established branches like CoE, IT, SE, etc. in this aspect. DTU is a well-recognized institution with a strong alumni network. More than 250 companies visit the campus every year during the placement season. Mathematics faculty is top-notch, while CS faculty is average. If you want to focus solely on programming, choose CSE at IIIT Delhi. MCE offers programming knowledge alongside advanced Mathematical studies. It will help you design and understand really complex solutions. At the end, the choice must be based on your personal preference.

A few talented students do get placed in Software firms. In IIIT Delhi first year is the same for both CSE and ECE during which the students are taught Introduction to Programming, System Management, Computer Organisation, Data Structure, and Digital Circuits. Your chances of placement also depend on your CGPA which should be preferably above 7. IIIT Delhi offers the flexibility to choose the CSE courses, provided that you complete the minimum credits requirement in the last two years of B.Tech for the degree. In all, I feel, that NSIT and DTU will offer great job opportunities because of their brand name but IIIT Delhi will teach you new things and also offer research opportunities So it’s best to go for NSIT or DTU or IIIT Delhi. Choose wisely.

I think the annual fees that i have payed for the first year is 2.75 lakh. There was Jac delhi registeration fees for applying in this college. There are multiple state level and centre level scholarships for backward castes and women from low income families.

DTU CSE IS BEST

Fees and Financial Aid:

My family is paying approx 1.5 lakhs on my tution fees. Rest for hostel it's 52000 and for mess 34000 approx. Rest I applied for scholarship but didn't get any. No extra fees required I guess. Rest we have to pay 7500 if we got back in exams.

Fees and Financial Aid:

250000 is the approx annual fees (including 2 sems) for DTU, there are various types of scholarships also available that students can avail. The Placement ratio of DTU is also good, with good average packages(better than few IITs and NITs).

Yearly fees is approx 2.5 lakhs per month. Hostel fees is different for different hostels ranging from 90k to 110 k(including mess fee). There is no electricity bill in hostels. There are different scholarships for underprivileged students of obc(ncl), sc/st category given by college in collab with some companies like dell etc. Based on your requirements you will be given waiver.

I am paying currently 246700 rupees including tution fees and caution fees and registration feesand it is increasing every year by 10% and scholarships are available for other categories and the students who have family income less than 200000.management quota is not available.The fees is same for all but they provide some scholarships.the financial aid is 100% or 50% or 25% on tution fees.the scholarships include the nsp and DTU cum merit scholarships.

The choice depends on what matters the most to you.

If placements, faculty and research opportunities are your top most priority, choose IIIT Delhi CSE. In this respect, IIITD CSE beats DTU Mechanical by a large margin. But if you want the best of campus, college environment, cultural fests and brand name, DTU Mechanical is a much better choice.

I would personally recommend IIIT Delhi, as it offers top notch placements. But if you’re truly passionate about Mechanical, choose that branch. Do not take your interest for granted while choosing your branch/degree.

Which is better, a CSE at IIIT Delhi or an MCE at DTU?

As a third year student of MCE at DTU, I can only tell you about my college and branch-

The curriculum of MCE is a mixture of Mathematics, Computer Science and Finance.
This branch will equip you for a career in three fields.
The focus is more on Mathematics, but CS is an important part.
MCE offers good placements. Graduates get job offers from top brands like Amazon, Flipkart, etc. MCE gives competition to well-established branches like CoE, IT, SE, etc. in this aspect.
DTU is a well-recognized institution with a strong alumni network. More than 250 companies visit the campus every year during the placement season.
Mathematics faculty is top-notch, while CS faculty is average.

If you want to focus solely on programming, choose CSE at IIIT Delhi. MCE offers programming knowledge alongside advanced Mathematical studies. It will help you design and understand really complex solutions.

At the end, the choice must be based on your personal preference.

Which should my daughter choose, a CSE from IGDTUW or a ECE from NSIT/DTU/IIIT Delhi?

The choice between CSE from IGDTUW and ECE from NSIT/DTU/IIIT depends on the goals of your daughter. If she is planning to pursue higher studies like MS or a Ph.D., then IIIT Delhi is a decent choice as it’s a research-oriented college. But if she is looking for a job, then IIIT Delhi will offer limited opportunities. This is because getting a job in Core ECE companies like Western Digital and Qualcomm is not easy, as these companies prioritize master students. A few talented students do get placed in Software firms.

In IIIT Delhi first year is the same for both CSE and ECE during which the students are taught Introduction to Programming, System Management, Computer Organisation, Data Structure, and Digital Circuits. Your chances of placement also depend on your CGPA which should be preferably above 7. IIIT Delhi offers the flexibility to choose the CSE courses, provided that you complete the minimum credits requirement in the last two years of B.Tech for the degree.

In all, I feel, that NSIT and DTU will offer great job opportunities because of their brand name but IIIT Delhi will teach you new things and also offer research opportunities

So it’s best to go for NSIT or DTU or IIIT Delhi. Choose wisely.
