The choice depends on what matters the most to you. If placements, faculty and research opportunities are your top most priority, choose IIIT Delhi CSE. In this respect, IIITD CSE beats DTU Mechanical by a large margin. But if you want the best of campus, college environment, cultural fests and brand name, DTU Mechanical is a much better choice. I would personally recommend IIIT Delhi, as it offers top notch placements. But if you’re truly passionate about Mechanical, choose that branch. Do not take your interest for granted while choosing your branch/degree.

As an NSUT student, the new CBCS (choice based credit system) allows you to choose your fields of study. This makes for more flexible courses. In DTU, you will have electives starting from 5th semester.These are department and general electives. IIIT Delhi offers the most flexible courses. Other than some fixed category credits, all the subjects are choice based. Thus, in terms of providing flexible courses, this is the order of preference- IIITD> NSUT>DTU.

DTU BAE Program is enormous!

Sometimes you don't need to pay very heavy fees for the best of education. DTU deserves all that they charge as the fees is 1.16 lakhs a year and it isn't big enough for students from Delhi. Also, scholarship programs are run by DTU but not as big as government universities or colleges as USME is a pure private college.

DTU Economics Hons is of highest standards!

Fees and Financial Aid:

USME has the BAE program better and affordable than many private universities. Our fees is 1.16 lakhs for a year and has to be paid by registering before each semester. Scholarships are there however not many as our college is private and therefore on that front not many freebies are there.

DTU means pure and absolute class!

USME which comes under DTU East Campus has a fees of 1.15 lakhs per year. Also the fees has a clause of 10k increase every year and thus our overall fees for four years will be around 5 lakhs a year. Even SC/ST students get just 15-20% scholarship here as USME is a private college even though it comes under DTU.

DTU is best for engineering in Delhi!

DTU main campus is where engineering department was. I took admission in the year of Covid but cut-offs and fees were still the same. It was 2.29 lakhs a year with a standard increase of 10000 per year. So, a total of around 10 lakhs was paid by me and though a little heavy but still good to provide us jobs through which we can clear the cost in a year.

East Campus of DTU is best for Management Program!

DTU BBA program is our of the world and therefore I have taken this college as I know this is one college which will help me get places. The fees is 1.05 lakhs in 2024 the year I applied. This year it increased to 1.15 lakhs and likewise the fees will go up and up. So an and average one will have to pay 5 lakhs to finish BBA from DTU.

Why not DTU?

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fee is to be paid on a yearly basis, the annual fee is approximately 1,10,000. 1 Academic Year has 2 semesters and the fee is to be paid before the next year begins which means after the 1st year is completed, you are required to pay the fee for the next year. There are multiple scholarship and financial aids offered by the college such as for EWS, Army Quota and much more. The fee does not generally increase and even if so, it only increases by under 10k.

I paid 1,17,000 for year wise fee for my course.Appart from general category6 the gess for reduces for other categories. Schloarships includes merit cum means scholarship for economically waekers sections. it provides partial tution fee waiver based on family income.

There was a fixed registration fee on the college's website. There are no particular scholarships available. The fees for the complete course sum up to four lakh rupees.

Good learning experience

Total course fees is 3.5 lakhs. Yearly fees is 1.10 lakhs. Fees increase by 10000 every year. It is a 3 year course. Fees of other students are also same. No scholarships are available to the students.

Should I opt for DTU mechanical or IIIT Delhi CSE?

The choice depends on what matters the most to you.

If placements, faculty and research opportunities are your top most priority, choose IIIT Delhi CSE. In this respect, IIITD CSE beats DTU Mechanical by a large margin. But if you want the best of campus, college environment, cultural fests and brand name, DTU Mechanical is a much better choice.

I would personally recommend IIIT Delhi, as it offers top notch placements. But if you’re truly passionate about Mechanical, choose that branch. Do not take your interest for granted while choosing your branch/degree.

Are courses in DTU and NSIT flexible? Can students from lower branches study a minor in C.S. easily?

As an NSUT student, the new CBCS (choice based credit system) allows you to choose your fields of study. This makes for more flexible courses. Also, NSUT has an excellent coding environment which will help you for your minor in Computer Science. Many students over there pursue coding, despite being from a branch other than IT/COE.

In DTU, you will have electives starting from 5th semester.These are department and general electives. IIIT Delhi offers the most flexible courses. Other than some fixed category credits, all the subjects are choice based.

Thus, in terms of providing flexible courses, this is the order of preference- IIITD> NSUT>DTU.

The admission process is expected to start in August 2024. Admission to the BBA program at DTU will be offered on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination and score in CUET. The seat allocation will be done through the Common Management Admission Committee (CMAC) counseling. The minimum eligibility required to apply for the program is 50% marks in Class 10+2. Candidates seeking admission to the program must register on the institute's official website once the institute releases the official notification.

The total fee for the MBA course at the Delhi Technical University is INR 4.5 lakhs. The hostel fee is INR 60000 for single-seaters, INR 56000 for double seater, and for triple seater is INR 52000.

CAT qualification is necessary for admission in the MBA programs offered at DTU. But you can get admission in the EMBA program of DTU without CAT qualification. Admission to the EMBA program is based on academic merit, work experience, group discussion and personal interview.

No, you are required to score 80-90 percentile to get admission. According to the 12th mark, you are eligible but you have to score good marks in the entrance examination.
