So the fees is same for all the category students the amount for 1st yr is 236700 (95000 + 141000) the 95k amount you have to pay while councelling that is refundable if you don't want to get the addmission in the same University also the fee keeps increasing yr on yr like for 1st yr it is 2.3 lacs for 2nd it is 2.4 lacs for 3rd it is 2.6 lacs for 4th yr it is 2.8 lacs

DTU fee structure varies year by year. For B.Tech- Tutiton fees is about Rs.1,47,300/Yr Student Welfare fees( co-curricular etc) is Rs. 20,000/Yr Facilities and Service Charges are Rs. 36,000/Yr It also provides Economically weaker section funds Rs.10,000/Yr Examination Fees- Rs.15,000/Yr Medical Facilities- Rs 700/Yr This totals upto to Rs 2,29,000/Yr And it increases year by year. Similarly for other courses such as B.Des The total fees is about Rs.2,29,000 The fees varies for M.Tech, foreign students etc and can be viewed on the official website. DTU provides multiple scholarships for different Management caterogies such as SC,ST etc. It also offers merit based scholarships.

- The campus life is very good because of the campus size which is around 160 acres and it is mostly covered with greenery everywhere.
- The infrastructure is also very good including the labs, sports complex, new hostel buildings were also recently established, there are many food outlets available at every corner.
Dislikes
- The no. Of students here is very big which results in very competitive atmosphere and the girl to boys ratio is also bad for eg in my batch it is around 8 girls and 63 boys
- There are a lot of monkeys in the campus
Fees and Financial Aid:
The yearwise fees in DTU for BTech is different for every year and it increases by 10-20k per year in the span of ur 4 years, For eg: my first year fees is 2.3lakhs and it will increase every year i.e 2.4lakhs, 2.6lakhs, 2.8lakhs for 2nd,3rd,4th year respectively. There is no relaxation of fees for any category/subcaste but there are scholarships available in DTU, income based and merit based both and you can also apply for govt scholarships. Tuition fees is around 1.5lakhs in the total 2.3lakhs and rest is non refundable charges and it also increases yearly as mentioned above. DTU provides one income based scholarship which you have to fill and has to go through whole process and it also includes one interview round. It is open for all categories as it is a income based scholarship. There are multiple merit based scholarships which you can apply for.

College is good but expensive as consider as government college with good reputation with hostel the yearly fee will be 3.5 something. There are many scholarship here . Merit cum , toppers , sc/st scholarships. And there is also sbi bank for education loan

- I liked the infrastructure of college. Facilities like water dispenser and ac are provided.
- Library sevices are great. Books of almost all kinds are available. Librarian is also very lenient.
Dislikes
- Wifi service is poor. Everytime we have to login for wifi access. It makes it kind of hectic.
- Fest are not that great. They are just a waste of money.

Year wise fees for computer science course is around 2.5 lacs. Overall fees for the 4 year course is 14 lacs if one consider hostel and messages also. Registration fees is same as jac. All the other charges were included in the course fees. No external fees was demanded. For other categories like sc st and OBC, fees was almost nothing. Scholarships are present, only one has to explore on dtu website.

- The campus is very vibrant and a lot of green-ry is there
- The sports complex is very big and has ample of space to do all kinds of sports

- The students ratio is our batch (2021-25) is very uneven
- Girl is to boys ratio was 150:2200 which is very uneven

So all the students have the same tuition fee, no matter what category they're from. My first year tuition fee was Rs. 2,15,000 My second year tuition fee was Rs. 2,25,000 My Third year tuition fee was Rs. 2,35,000 My fourth year tuition fee was Rs. 2,45,000 As I have not applied for Hostel so i don't live in the hostel. Yes scholarships are given to the branch topper that is in-house scholarship, Other government funded scholarships are also there which EWS candidates can avail.

- Hostel Living Facilities : Major hostel facilities are not good and many students are not provided hostels

College Scholarship based on Category : DASA scheme : These students were selected based on the SAT score and their counselling was carried seperate from JAC Delhi conselling Tuition Fees : Based on SAT score, highest scorer based on a cut-off will pay the same amount as general students i.e. 240000 INR per year. After the cut-off their fees will increase to 480000 INR based or more based on their score again. Trend of the Tuition Fees : The tuition fees have seen an increase in amount with 10% increase in last 4 years Hostel Fees : Hostel fee have seen major hike from 7000 INR per year to 17000 INR per semester in the year 2022.

Which is better for CSE: NIT Hamirpur or NSIT/DTU?
NSIT/DTU is far better than NIT Hamirpur for CSE.
Be it academics, placement, research culture, peer group, exposure, etc. NSIT/DTU will offer better opportunities. These two institutes also have a locational advantage. Due to the favorable location, you can easily get good exposure in the CSE domain. NSIT and DTU both will offer you plenty of opportunities. However, many students prefer NSIT for their small student intake.
Should I prefer JMI CSE or DTU mechanical?
Among the above two institutes, for students interested specifically in computer science, JMI CSE should be a better option. But, students having no specific preference in streams should consider Mechanical at DTU.
