Canteen was very nice and clean. Very tasty food , burger was super nice
Teaching faculty is great. Super chilled professors , with extensive experience in their respective fields.
Infrastructure is very nice , campus is spread over 100 acres , and buildings are spacious with modern equipped classrooms and latest lab equipments

Administration could be improved , they are very slow

I didn't apply to other colleges as i secured this college in the first round , so looking for other colleges was not really my perspective. The admission process is fairly simple , you appear for JEE mains .

One of the most liked thing for me will be lenient attendance policy. On paper you require 75% attendance but in real thats not that true as professors are chill.
Campus is really beautiful and well maintained.
We have a society for literally everything so easy to follow your passion.

Dislikes

Not very good sex ratio its almost 8:1 which is not an idol case
No transportation service inside campus despite of being such a large campus

Admission:

Being a delhite after not being able to clear JEE ADVANCED it was an east decision for me to choose DTU as it is closer to my home and also it is definately one of the most reputed college in NORTH INDIA. So it not a very difficult decision for me.

the societies in which you can participate there is cultural society, literature and film society, dancing and musical societies...etc
sports is one of the favourite there is good football ground, cricket ground, cricket practice net, kabaddi ground, indoor and outdoor badminton, tt tables, tennis and other sports

Dislikes

expecting some industry visits in core branches which we don't get
some teacher is not good and not taking proper class
syllabus have to cover by ourselves at the last time

Admission:

DTU has secure, safe and no restriction and linient college culture npt like NSUT it has very strict culture and attendance issues and DTU is older college have greater allumini network and know for its core placements

DTU is one of those Delhi colleges which has ubiquitous existence not just in Delhi but in India.
Education that is provided at DTU is where our college scores very heavily.
The best relaxation for students is that attendance are little relaxed at DTU.

Dislikes

I am glad I am from Delhi as otherwise the hostels are in damp conditions here and I don't know how rhe outsiders are managing it.

very good placements along with nice infrastructure
very lenient regarding attendance even if you have 5-10% attendance (most of the times even 0) you still wont be debarred from the examinations
liniency in classes like very few teachers ask for assignments and very often wouldnt care if you come late to classes

Dislikes

no law and order alot of times fights happen and no repurcussions are there for it
no help from teachers in studies and doubt solving
very bad managements take 6-7 months to anounce result, till the first day of college wont release timetable of classes

Admission:

i apple to NSUT IIIT but didnt go there mainly of the leniency DTU offers and it takes alot of stress of you so that so yo can work on your skills i got rejects from IIITD beacuse of my marks in cbse boards

Carucullum is very top notch you get to learn top technologies like ML, DL, NLP, Advance OS, Advance DS etc.
Campus life is very vibrant and happening as here there is everyday something or the other is happening.
Top facilities of sports, gym, canteen, labs, fully ac classrooms, eating spots all over the camps.

Dislikes

A lot of crowd during fests when may ruin your experience sometimes as mostly people from DU comes here.
People promoting bad habbits everywhere you can find here also.
Irrespective of the top notch sports facilities people here are not interested that much in sports activities.

Admission:

The colleges that i got the call from is BITS Hydrabad Campus, IIIT Delhi, NSUT and various other NIT's also but choose DTU over them. Reasons to choose DTU over others are first of all its ROI is very good as compared to the other colleges and also the location is Delhi which is not far from my hometown. There are two modes of admission first is GATE and second is Non-Gate via DTU entrance exam and maximum seats gets filled via Gate only.

DTU has diverse and vibrant campus life, Student community is energetic and there are numerous clubs societies and event which build a strong network with peers
The Faculty Members are knowledgeable , with expertise in their respective domains .
The placement services at dtu are amazing offers a wide range of opportunities across multiple domains , including software ,core engineering and consulting .

Dislikes

Gender Imbalance the girl to boy ratio is very around 1 is to 10
Outdated equipment's in some labs certain labs especially in core branches lack modern tools and technology
Limited support for support at undergraduate level (research opportunities are limited)

Admission:

College I applied before getting into this college were NSUT IIT MANDI DSEU MAIT AND BPIT DELHI but amongst all this was the best option as this had many factors:- 1)This is A tier 1 college providing best of the facialities 2)this was thr closest amongst all colleges in rest of them i had to travela lot being a day scholar 3)Affordable fees and easy education loans at low interest are avalible for such top tier colleges 4)campus life is very vibrant and supportive and beautiful campus is one of the best point about this college

the campus is really beautifull , full of greenery and open spaces . you willl see animal like cats dogs , peacocks , and even monkeys roaming around . it actually adds a chill vibe to the enivroment . the sports complex is amazing and hs almost ever
the class room are all air conditioned and the labs are well equipped and furnished , which makes practicals really comfortable . there are food courts spread which makes practicals comfortable . there are food courts spread all over the campus .
the faculty is also good overall - most of the teachers are well qualifies and they really hoe to teach . some of them are really helpful and supportive , esspeaccliy when it comes to clearing droughts or guiding us for projects .

gender ratio I will say the boys are here In a big majority as respect to females which are all over very in my class there are 5 girls out of 71 students which is very less .
the hostes=ls conditions seriusly need some work . first of all not all hostels are air condiotined and considering heat , thats really tough to manage . also , the hostels fees are quite high and they keeps increasing so I think needs to be looked i
the mess food is honestly not to good at all , and its a common complaint among students . the water quality also needs attention - the drinking water tanks should be cleaned regularly but ists not done as often as it should be

I got 94 percentile in JEE Main. Can I get a decent branch at DTU?

94 percentile in JEE Main 2024 will roughly fetch you a rank between 69,801-70,000. I am assuming you are a general category candidate.

From this table it is clear that you won’t get a top branch at DTU with a 94 percentile (69,801-70,000 rank) in JEE Main 2024. However, you will surely get admission to a lower B.Tech branch like Chemical, Industrial & Production, Civil, Biotech, or Environmental Engineering.

(For the Delhi Quota, the candidate must have completed their class 11th and 12th from Delhi). DTU conducts engineering admissions through JAC Delhi Counselling.

The choice is ultimately yours to make. But if you are keen to get admission into DTU, you can surely opt for one of these branches.

If I get 85% in 12th and 70 percentile in JEE Main, can I get admission to BTech at DTU?

As per the previous cutoff data, you may not get admission to DTU in the general category with the 70 percentile. However, you can get admission to the Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Technology & Management, Ganga Group of Institutions, etc.

As per the data available for the previous Mtech GATE score cutoff the minimum mark required for Artificial Intelligence in the year 2023 was 318, and in 2022 was 318 for General Category. DTU, GATE Cutoff 2023 for the OBC Category is 318 and in the year 2022 is 319 for Mtech in Artificial intelligence. DTU, GATE Cutoff 2023 for the EWS Category is 333 and in the year 2022 is 332 for Mtech in Artifical intelligence. the minimum mark required for Artificial Intelligence in the year 2023 was 228, and in 2022 was 263 for SC. DTU, GATE Cutoff 2023 for ST Category is 258, and in 2022 was 254 for Mtech in Artificial intelligence.

I am not from Delhi but I appeared in the JEE Main exam, how can I get admission to BTech at DTU?

The admission process is online at DTU. The admissions are based on the JEE Mains score and followed by JAC Counselling. You can register from the official website of JAC Counselling Delhi. JAC Delhi counselling will be conducted in five rounds and one spot round on the official website.
