DTU is academic paradise!!

Likes

Campus has a Nescafe bar and that's like I am glad that it is there as I love coffees and happy that we have coffee available at the campus.
Placements are as good because we get enough companies in house that almost 100% placements are done.
Our course is tough as BBA offered here is tougher than that of other private universities like Christ or Manipal.

Dislikes

Campus area especially EAST Campus where our college is located is not that good.
Very boring life apart from academics as we don't have many projects lr engaging things.

Admission:

I was getting admission in 2 tier Colleges of DU and that too in courses like Political Science and others. With same CUET score, i got admission in DTU, BBA. It's already a novelty to study in DTU and then studying BBA is even bigger novelty. Thus on CUET score is how one gets admission here.

DTU East Campus is Beautiful!

Most helpful seniors for sure are here at DTU.
Even faculties are equally helpful and one always get the best of them.
All the staff members are very helpful and especially the library staff members.

Dislikes

East Campus location is not good and is not even safe as well.
The common room too has been converted into a classroom.

Admission process is through CUET score and score of over 500 is accepted. So, admission are little easier than that of DU but still 500 or more score is mandatory. I had 567 and that score was the way that I decided admission here.

DTU East Campus is the cleanest campus in Delhi!

Likes

DTU offers academic challenges but have the right faculties to get through all the challenges.
Not just economics but some technical knowledge is also imparted here.
One thing which we all students expect from our faculties is to be co-operative and our faculties are more than co-operative with us.

Dislikes

Small campus as the main campus is quite but ours is small.
Even our annual fest is organised at the main campus and our campus hardly hosts any events.

Admission:

Admission is same as DU our college also accepts CUET scores. A score of 500 or more in CUET guarantees a berth for our course and that is how admissions happens here. My first target though was SRCC but the cut-off of SRCC was 770+ and this with 542 score, DTU was the best possible options.

umm the first thing that i like is the environment here like on every road there are guards which are taking care of us
i like the quality people tht this college have provided me like my seniors and some profffessors
another thing i liked is u have so many opportunities to grab either via intern via hackathons or via placements , this college provides all with a good quantity

seriously i dont like the hostel facilities i mean things are okay bt when it comes for maintenance it worst sometimes
and i also dont like tht on roads there are monkey and dogs which harms some students
i dont like some proffessors plus i dont like tht 75% attendance criterion

Admission:

I chose DTU mainly because of its strong reputation in engineering, excellent faculty, and well-structured curriculum compared to other colleges I applied to. I also applied to colleges like NSIT and IGDTUW, but I either didn’t get a confirmed admt really tipped the scale in favor of DTU was the combination of good placement records, Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, and admissions are based on JEE Main ranks, which is the most preferred exam. The cutoff ranks vary by branch and category, but DTU usually has a high cutoff due to its popularity. Overall, the admission experience was smooth, with online counseling and clear instructions, making it easy to secure a seat once you meet the eligibility and cutoff requirements.

Campus life is so amazing, so much places to hangout with friends, good infrastructure and campus size is also good according to Delhi and sports complex is also amazing
We can join so many society which helps to growth your overall performance
Academic structure and placement is very good mostly students placed in good company average package of tech branch is so high

DTU location,DTU placed on The border of haryana, nearby places is not so good
Crowd in DTU, in any most of the branches there is more than 300 seates in cs there is 500 seats
Gender ratio is very poor,in core branchs there is only 2,3 girls in 80 students

I want to like a core beaches and for core branchs i don't think soo any another college in delhi expect iit delhi is good than DTU ,I am not apply for other college I have decided early to take admission in DTU The admission is done by The jee examination and eligibility is you have to score minimum 60 percent in 12 th examination and cutoff for general students is normal 36k to 47 k for mechanical branch

Campus Life- A wholesome campus life experience with many events scheduled throughout the year.
Placements- A strong placement record makes it among the top choice for aspirants. For CSE branch, it is around 25LPA
Infrastructure- Lush green campus with buildings and departments, make it scenic

Dislikes

Crowd- Due to 85% home state and other reservations, crowd quality is lower than IITs, but you will find many skilled ones here

Admission:

When I had applied for JAC, I had option of NSUT or IIIT Delhi, but I had chosen this, as DTU has one of the oldest legacies, alumni network and college culture and all. Also, my course Mathematics and Computing syllabus at DTU is one of the best you can get in engineering colleges, hence, there was slight inclination. Keeping in mind, high fees of IIIT Delhi... Admission process is simple and you can apply for it via JAC Delhi counselling through your JEE Mains scorecard. You just need to have 60% in your CBSE 12th boards.

DTU East Campus is a different Vibe!!

Our campus only has management courses and therefore we have all like minded people in the campus.
Our campus is inaugurated recently so in terms of area it may be small but in terms of facilities it's huge.
The faculties are more than co-operative and that's pleasing.

Dislikes

Some faculties even after FMS and IIM backgrounds don't know how to teach well.

Admission:

I first thought of taking admission in DU government colleges as St Stephens and Hindu were my first choice but cut-off for the same was around 750 while DTU was happy with 600-620. So, i took admission here as the government colleges like the Ramanujan and other colleges available at this score were not worth it.

Likes

DTU have a lot of tech and consulting teams and societies which give a lot of exposure to students.
Teachers here are great some of them a retired navy engineer how teaches so nicely.
DTU also have USIP which provides internship to the students every semester.

Dislikes

The food of the hostel are sometimes so bads that can't be eaten.
DTU don't have a proper GYM with all the machines needed for work out.
Sometimes the authorities don't take problem seriously.

So I think D2 has a great alumni network Which the other colleges do not have Having a great Alumni networks makes you more confident You can make a great connexions on the linkedin you can talk to senior profiles In the Lagden because maximum are from dtu

If I get 85% in 12th and 70 percentile in JEE Main, can I get admission to BTech at DTU?

As per the previous cutoff data, you may not get admission to DTU in the general category with the 70 percentile. However, you can get admission to the Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Technology & Management, Ganga Group of Institutions, etc.

As per the data available for the previous Mtech GATE score cutoff the minimum mark required for Artificial Intelligence in the year 2023 was 318, and in 2022 was 318 for General Category. DTU, GATE Cutoff 2023 for the OBC Category is 318 and in the year 2022 is 319 for Mtech in Artificial intelligence. DTU, GATE Cutoff 2023 for the EWS Category is 333 and in the year 2022 is 332 for Mtech in Artifical intelligence. the minimum mark required for Artificial Intelligence in the year 2023 was 228, and in 2022 was 263 for SC. DTU, GATE Cutoff 2023 for ST Category is 258, and in 2022 was 254 for Mtech in Artificial intelligence.

I am not from Delhi but I appeared in the JEE Main exam, how can I get admission to BTech at DTU?

The admission process is online at DTU. The admissions are based on the JEE Mains score and followed by JAC Counselling. You can register from the official website of JAC Counselling Delhi. JAC Delhi counselling will be conducted in five rounds and one spot round on the official website.
