DTU B.Tech Environmental Engineering: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

The JEE Mains exam is a mandatory and challenging test for students in India, especially noted for its tough physics section, and is required for admission to Delhi Technological University (DTU). DTU boasts a highly qualified faculty, including scientists and IES professionals, with a faculty-to-student ratio of about 70:1. The university conducts two exams per semester and uses relative grading, which will be replaced with a minimum passing mark of 35 next year.

Environmental Engineering is one of the courses offered, with 6 professors, 2 guest faculty, and 80 students. The tuition fee begins at approximately Rs. 1 lakh annually and increases to Rs. 1.78 lakh by the fourth year. Additionally, food expenses are not included, with mess food quality rated poorly. DTU offers various scholarships and financial aid for students from economically weaker sections. For instance, students with family incomes under Rs. 4.5 lakh can avail a 50% tuition fee waiver, and those under Rs. 2.5 lakh can receive a full waiver.

DTU has a strong placement record, with over 300 companies visiting annually. In the 2023-24 placement season, the highest package offered was Rs. 82.05 lakh per annum (LPA), with an average of Rs. 25.22 LPA. In 2019, 1306 out of 1495 students were placed, with a top package of Rs. 1.27 crore and an 11.17 LPA average. Nearly 95% of students secure jobs, while others pursue further studies or competitive exams. Internships are available from the third year, with companies like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon offering stipends between Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 2 lakh per month.

Despite high fees, DTU provides opportunities for scholarships and student loans, maintaining a robust placement cell to ensure high student placement rates with competitive packages.
