I have a friend who has taken a drop with 74% in boards.. He has decided that he will not give any improvement exam and his target is to get into DTU. aisa hota hai kya bina 75% ke JEE de skte hai kya?

WHAT should I choose DTU -chemical engineering DTU - environmental engineering IPU - USICT - IT ,EE MAIT -IT IPU -USAR -AI&DS ( I DONT WANT TO STUDY AFTER BTECH FOR ANY MASTERS DEGREE AND WANT TO GET A GOOD JOB FOR LIVING )

I’m trying to figure out the best possible options I have, especially after **JoSAA** and **CSAB** rounds, and would love to hear your thoughts. # Branch Preferences * I don’t have a strict branch preference, but I’d **prefer a 4-year circuital branch** (CSE, ECE, EE, etc.). * **Not keen on non-core branches** like Civil or Mining for various reasons (interest, placements, etc.). * Open to flexible or interdisciplinary options if the college reputation and peer group are strong. Colleges I’ve Shortlisted So Far 1. **IIITs** – Mixed opinions here. Some (like IIIT Gwalior, Jabalpur, etc.) seem promising, but I’m unsure about long-term value vs. NITs. 2. **DTU (EE)** and **NSUT (ECE)** – Hoping for upgradations here through later rounds. 3. **NITs** – I want to avoid most North Eastern ones due to location concerns, but **NIT Silchar** is still under consideration. 4. **BIT Mesra** – Again, mixed reviews. Good brand but varied placement reports. # Not Considering * **VITEEE** – Got around 7,000 rank but not planning to join (too many concerns around transparency, fees, and value). * **Private Tier-2 colleges** unless absolutely necessary. # What I Need Help With * Which **IIITs/NITs are worth it** at this rank? Any hidden gems? * Should I **prefer DTU/NSUT over newer IIITs/NITs**? * Any colleges I might have **missed** that are **underrated but great** for ECE/EE/CSE? * Is **BIT Mesra** worth considering for CSE in 2025? * Would it be smarter to **wait for CSAB** rounds or lock in something safer early? I have some free time left before counseling starts, and I have pretty much finalized my college. Will be getting dtu ece and will be trying to grind for software placements as well. I am totally new to this and I know literally 0 nothing about coding, software etc. Please recommend me any yt videos or anything from where I can atleast get to know more about what I am even aspiring!! Not looking to start coding rn, just need some proper intro or something. Thanks!

So one of my school friends recently got into DTU Software Engineering — through the OBC category. Not gonna lie, I checked the cutoffs just out of curiosity, and if he was in general category, he wouldn’t even get Biotech in the last round. Anyway, the main thing is — I saw his story on Instagram (something college-related), and I just replied casually, like — “bro how’s it going?” or something basic like that. His reply? Just a middle finger emoji. I was like… what the hell? Now days, He wont even reply on WhatsApp or something We used to be really close in class 11 and 12. Studied together, shared notes, stressed over JEE, and helped each other out. Now suddenly he gets into a good college and acts like he's some big shot. For what? A normal reply on a story? I don’t care about the seat. He got in — good for him. I’m not salty about the reservation either. Everyone plays with the cards they’re dealt. But this weird ego and attitude just because you got into DTU?

I want to do BTech in ECE and my options are: MNIT Allahabad IIIT Allahabad DTU NSUT NIT Delhi MNIT Jaipur VNIT Nagpur Rank them from best to worst for ECE branch

Getting MNC in NSUT, might get it in DTU as well if I get lucky enough. Couldn't find much information regarding it on internet as it is a relatively newer branch. So had few questions:- 1. My maths is the weakest among the trio. I actually suck at integral calculus at jee level. Should I avoid it? 2. How much theory part would be of maths in overall syllabus? Will I be able to do "computation" as well? 3. Will it be worth it to take it over ECE? 4. Should I consider IIIT CS/IT in place of this as well? I am more interested in software placements. But I haven't explored core as well so idk.

Koi or government college btao with good placements other than iits nits iiits dtu nsut etc

Can someone advice me on which is better. NIT Warangal is the better college in terms of ranking I would assume, being just below Trichy and Warangal. But cutoffs and packages for DTU are quite high. Making me wonder if DTU is really better. And how about EEE VLSI in Warangal
