Delhi Technological University Placement Report is available. The highest salary package stood at INR 85 LPA in the B.Tech Software Engineering branch, while the average salary package was INR 18.46 LPA. A total of 2,442 students registered for placements, and 1,486 students were successfully placed. Major recruiters included Adobe, Microsoft, Google, Uniqlo, Apple, Amazon, Atlassian, Bain & Company, and others.

Shubham - DTU Honesty review after 4 year in college

Students who have completed there 4 sem are eligible to sit in campus placements to secure 2month summer internship and students who have completed there 6th sem are eligible to sit in campus placements to secure 6 month internship along with ppo or fulltime or direct fulltime opportunities. Around 70-80% students gets placed in tech branches and around 50-70% gets placed in core branches. My plan after degree are to join a fulltime offer.

The best college you can get into after IITs

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is decent enough. If you are from Tech and circutial branches you can expect package ranging around 12-30lpa, and other than this you can expect somewhere between 8-15lpa for other branches. Overall the placement is quite good.

DTU Economics Hons is of highest standards!

Placement Experience:

Placements need no catching up here as they are easily the best. The best is DTU don't face the challenge of placing too many students as batch is very median here. Just 180 students and at the end of penultimate year only 150-160 are left for that. DTU invites around 100 companies for this many students and thus most students here are rewarded with placements.

However, if you look from the angle of research , IIIT Delhi certainly is way ahead than the other colleges. Its research-oriented institute is primarily established to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of CS. While BITS Pilani also has a decent research culture, DTU, and NSUT are nowhere near IIIT Delhi in terms of research. IIIT Delhi students have a lot of projects to work on under highly learned and passionate faculties. The exposure these students receive is unmatched and they are offered excellent opportunities in terms of both in industry and for higher education.

So if you want both excellent placements and research opportunities go for IIIT Delhi but if you want a good campus life too that is less focused on research go for BITS Pilani.

On the basis of placements, I would rank the aforementioned institutes in the following order

Bits Pilani, Pilani Campus>|IT H>Bits Goa>Bits Hyderabad>Top 3 Nits>|IT Delhi/NSUT>DTU

BITS Pilani has a better placement scenario than IIIT Hyderabad although its average package is less than IIIT Hyderabad, this is because BITS has a number of branches and the average package is calculated after considering the packages of all branches whereas IIIT Hyderabad has only two branches ie CS and ECE. Both these branches are top branches so automatically its average package becomes higher than BITS Pilani. If you compare the placements of the CS branch alone, BITS Pilani will have the upper hand. However, if you want to pursue a career in research in CS, ten choosing IIIT Hyderabad will offer better opportunities. Basically, IIIT Hyderabad will make you a better coder whereas BITS Pilani will make you a better engineer.

It's important to note that the above ranking is based on placements alone and if you consider the research culture, then NITs will fare better than BITS mainly because they are government institutes and receive huge funds solely for the purpose of research.

Among NIT Delhi, DTU, and NSUT, which one is better in terms of placement?

NIT Delhi is very young, and it can not be compared to NSUT and DTU. Now the better option among these two depends on your branch choice. If you want to opt for CoE/IT/ECE, NSUT has slightly better placements in these branches. But in core branches (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Poly), DTU has a really good placement record. Moreover, DTU has a great campus life.

I assume you are a fresher and that’s why you are evaluating a college's worth through its placements. In reality, the placements released by these colleges are not precise so aren’t a credible criterion. You will be surprised to know that even top institutes like IITs are not able to achieve 100% placements. Even NSIT and DTU which show high packages of cries, are quite misleading. These high packages fail to show the situation of the average students that receive low packages and sometimes even remain unplaced.

As for NIT Delhi, it’s still in its development phase and also has an average placement scenario. However, it has a good placement percentage and even average students manage to get a job easily. Nevertheless, I have done a comparative analysis of the placement scenario of these institutes.

DTU Civil Engineering is one of the highly regarded civil departments in India with decent placements and opportunities. Here are a few points that will convince you further to join this branch

DTU Civil Engineering has a relatively easier syllabus in comparison to other branches. You can maintain a high CGPA and even make it into IIMs. You will also have better opportunities than students in non-core companies.
The light syllabus gives you enough time to prepare for IES/GATE examination and secure excellent government jobs.
Civil Engineering at DTU has decent placements and this year the average package offered was INR 8.845 LPA. If you have a decent CGPA and communication skills, you can easily secure a package in the range of 5-7 lakhs.
Among other future aspects of this program, you can also pursue MS from Stanford as there is very less competition compared to computer science.
Although your package will be inferior to CS students, a government job in civil engineering offers you a comfortable and contented life,

DTU CSE Placements 2023 recorded 100% placements. As per the reports the DTU Highest Package and DTU Average Package offered to BTech (COE, IT, MCE) and BTech (IT) candidates during placements 2023 were INR 82.05 LPA and INR 25.22 LPA, respectively

Yes, though govt opportunities in the technical field are very limited, but yes you can get jobs at PSU based on GATE scores. The PSUs like SAIL – Steel Authority of India Ltd., ONGC – Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd., NTPC – National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd., CIL – Coal India Ltd., IOCL – Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., BHEL – Bharat Heavy Electronics Ltd., GAIL – Natural gas transmission company, BPCL – Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.
