Should I opt for DTU mechanical or IIIT Delhi CSE?

The choice depends on what matters the most to you. If placements, faculty and research opportunities are your top most priority, choose IIIT Delhi CSE. In this respect, IIITD CSE beats DTU Mechanical by a large margin. But if you want the best of campus, college environment, cultural fests and brand name, DTU Mechanical is a much better choice. I would personally recommend IIIT Delhi, as it offers top notch placements. But if you’re truly passionate about Mechanical, choose that branch. Do not take your interest for granted while choosing your branch/degree.

Which is better at DTU, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering?

If you are interested in the Mechanical branch, you should definitely go for DTU Mechanical. DTU has one of the best Mechanical departments in the country. There are many tech teams and societies for the branch. Tech teams such as Defianz Racing, AUV DTU, UAS DTU, etc. even participated in competitions of international levels and won. The placement records are also good for the branch. Many PSUs frequently visit the campus placement to recruit students. The highlights of DTU Mechanical Engineering placements show the average package to be INR 7 LPA. ONGC, Mahindra, etc. are among the top recruiting companies.

Fees is increasing every year around 10 to 20k first year fees is 2,47000,2nd year 2,55000 third it may be 2,70000and for fourth year i think it is 2,90000 and seat acceptance fees through jac Delhi is 95000 tution fees is around 1.4 lakh. In DTU there is scholarship for all types of categories students and their is scholership also based on family income.And DTU also give scholership to topper The scholarships amount is vary by category and income like they give 100percent,100 percent on tution fees, 50percet,20percent etc

DTU insights

I'm pursuing B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (2022-2026 batch) from Delhi Technological University. The fee structure is pain yearly and includes tution fees, admission and regustration charges, development fees, lab and examination charges. I give yearly 244700 every year. As I'm general student so, I don't get any scholarship from the college. Yeah some of many friends gets a lot of scolarship like around 150000 INR gets reduced but they have perticular interview and documentation verifivation of that.

DTU -"More than Just a Tag"

Dislikes

Crowd is much because it have too many courses unlike Btech.

The Tution Fees of DTU 2024-2028 1st year- 2,36,000/- 2nd year- 2,46,000/- and subsequently increment of 10,000/- every year Hostel and Mess Fee are 52,000/- (3 seater) and 34,800/- when you got a back in any subject ireespective of semester you have to pay 7,500/- per subject . If you Family Income is above 8 lakh rupess you're not eligible to any kind of scholarship irrespective of your category. There are alot of Scholarships for SC/ST if they have family income below 8lakh. a few for OBCs and EWS also But not for any general one.

DTU is Dashing College!!

DTU is as good as many NITs and lower ranked IITs. So, fees is as per them as it is 2.6 lakhs a year. Also theres 10k as registration fees and some other additional charges and all make the yearly fees around 3 lakhs a year. However, for students who are in merit but have serious financial conditions are provided scholarships.

One of the finest college in Delhi

Fees increase every year with 10-15k Currently I pay 2,25,000/- tution fees with 54000/- for hostel and 34800 for mess. There are a ton of scholarship oppurtunities like DTU's own scholarship where around 300-400 students get 50%, 75% or 100% tution fee waived off depending on their financial situation. Dell Aspire scholarship is also available where student gets a laptop and hostel, mess fee paid by them.

DTU - The Good the Bad

The thing is i pays same as the normal general student 2 lac 40 thousand and the difference between them and me is nothing in comparison to Them, my fees is So damn high as compares to any other NIT or some other colleges providing same Education . These things aren't good in DTU that's why Most of us including Me are dropping out of college and Our vice chancellor doesn't also do something about that . The Scholarships are central level if somehow you don't get some status or so you won't be able to get them as well , DTUs own scholarship is Worst they don't provide to needy they just focus on creating a list that's it

Total fees for full course us 10 lakh 36 thousand eight hundred. In first year you have to pay 2 lakh 36 thousand seven hundred and next year your fees will be increased upto 10 to 20 thousand from last year.
