What should I choose, DTU engineering physics or Thapar University CS?

Having known some people studying in both these institutions, I can say that if you plan to get a job offer, go for CS at Thapar University. If not and are interested in doing research opt for Engineering Physics at DTU. Engineering Physics is a field which does not anymore provide a promising opportunity to its aspirants. If you go with this choice of branch you might get research opportunities after higher studies. Moreover, if you have prioritized DTU, keep in mind that the quality of education and academic career is reducing with every passing year. Few of the many branches at DTU are striving to keep their esteemed position with engineering physics not being one of them. Instead, CS at Thapar University would be an excellent option for building a path for your career. This branch is known for its exceptional academics and for the opportunities held out to the students. Although it is a batch of almost 570 students in CS you can certainly end up with a 5LPA and above package by the end of your 4th year. Which should I take for engineering - physics at DTU or electronics and communication at IIIT Una?

Both of the colleges have their own specialties. It depends on your purpose for doing any of the mentioned courses. One of my friends graduated from DTU and he mentioned a few points about the same which may be helpful for you- If your focus is on taking a decent job after graduation or earning money, opt for other options than physics. But if you have your interest in the field of research in physics or you want to do your higher studies in the field of physics, then go for Engineering in Physics. My friend from the physics branch in DTU straight away mentioned that the physics department in DTU doesn’t have decent placement opportunities, be it the on-campus placement or off-campus placement. ECE being a practical-oriented subject has a lot of demand in the industry. Also after graduating with ECE, you can sit for placements of both core companies and IT firms. Thus there will be a lot of job opportunities. Half of the students who have enrolled themselves on the physics branch were misled and the other half was too sure and passionate about this branch. Whereas, ECE at IIIT UNA can provide you with a good job right after you graduate. DTU FROM A FRESHER'S PERSPECTIVE

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fees for complete 4 years of btech course is around 11.1 lakhs indian rupees which means around 2.6 lakhs per year yes the fees increases over the years but the change in fees is slight and not drastic its ariund 3k to 10k every upcoming year yes the fees is divided in sections like lab fees,tution fees, registration fees,admission fees ,caution fees etc For students that belongs to general and OBCs the have to pay full tuition fees that is around 1.7 lakhs to 1.9 lakhs and for sc/st students their whole tuition fees get waivered caution money is paid by each student which gets refunded after graduation the fees is ten thousand rupees Studens have to pay admission fees only one time all students also have to pay laboratory fees each year that costs around 20 to 25 k rupees Students from minorities such as obc or sc or sts get category based scholarship if their family annual income is less than 4.5 lakhs there are also scholarship from private associoations such as airtel bharti scholarship

DTU: ONE OF THE BEST CHOICE AFTER IIT

first year- 2,47,700 second year- 2,67,700 third year - 2,87,700 fourth year - 3,07,700 scholarship is provided on the basis of income by dtu itslef , if you have family income of less then 4.5lac per annum you can get 50-100% full fee waiver, there is also scholarships for the sc st candidates

DTU - The dream college

the fees for first year js 2,36,700 rupees which increases by around 10% each year. but this increase is only in the tuition fees which is 1,55,000 rupees, the other amount remains the same which is the exam fee, welfare fee, etc. There are lots if scholarships available for backward section of the society, which even provide 100% off on tuition fees.

DTU fees structure (2024-28) 1st year (2024-25) - 236700/- (95000/- during admission + 141700/- after 1 month college) 2nd year (2025-26) - 246700/- 3rd year (2026-27) - 266700/- 4th year(2027-28) - 286700/- Combined total for 4 years academic fees - 10,36,800/- In case of a subject fail - 5500/- for re-enrollment of the subject in summer semester Hostel fees (different from academic fees) - about 52000/- per year without AC and 72000/- per year with AC Scholarships provided by DTU are to top scoring students in each respective branch. 10000/- scholarship is provided to them.

To secure a seat at delhi Technological university we need to pay 95k to confirm our admission at dtu. Then we have an yearly fees of 141000 and that is for two combined semesters. There is also a fees waiver for students who have annual income lower than 4 lakhs per annum or you need to score a perfect 10 cgpa in your respective branch to get full fees waiver.

Here 80000rs including library,exam, facilities,etc fees which is constant all years of your course Here , have many scholarship 1. DTU fees concession upto 100% scholarship. 2. Mcm from edistrict delhi portal upto 100% only tuition fees. 3. Dell aspire scholarship which is private scholarship partner with DTU i. get dell premium laptop. ii. partial tution fees and partial accommodation. iii. Free mentorship program. Above 3 scholarship for also general category students but if you belong to any other category then you get more scholarship offers.

Delhi's second IIT, DTU

The tution fee is increased every year .The fee might sound a little too much at the start , but there are endless opportunities for financial assistance. Financially backward families can even get 100% tution fee waiver .There are scholarships for almost everyone and if you truly deserve a scholarship, you will get it . I am not aware about the campus employment opportunities if there are any ,

DTU: A college where dreams get into reality

Dislikes

Semester exams are very tough it's not easy to to pass and get good marks you have to study very thoroughly to good marks
Curriculum is very outdated it as subjects like microprocessor in interfacing which are very outdated

Tution ki here is very high approximately 10 lakh for 4 years it also includes the hostel charges and MESS fees. The reason for this hiking in fees is because of the reason that the students are not much active and does not raise their voice against the system. Students does get scholarships on the basis of their annual income of their parents. Reserved seats students gets benefits in the scholarships. I have been a part of the society called pratibim where I enjoyed my role as an actor vocalist instrumentalist so there are very much opportunities available in the campus where you can enjoy the rolls responsibilities and gets rewards as well.
