But there is DTU clg scholarship for economically weaker section which includes general and don't give scholarship on basis of caste. And give on basics of economy. But there is also nsp and E District scholarship for caste base scholarship. In dtu scholarship, there are two modes one is 100% and another is 50% scholarship This is based on your conditions and an interview held in clg after applying.

For few waiver schemes, scholarship and financial assistance The university provides fee waiver to students with lean financial background. There is a provision of up to 100 percent waiver of the tuition fee component of the total academic fees for those students who fulfill the laid down criteria. In the last academic year, the university granted tuition fee waiver to 829 students amounting to Rs. 9.49 crores. Further, a merit scholarship of Rs. 10,000/- is awarded to the respective topper of all branches of B. Tech. programme. Several Merit-cum-Means scholarship schemes are offered by Govt. of India and Govt. of NCT of Delhi for students belonging to different categories. The ECE branch at DTU is very competent. It has a pool of talented, intelligent, and hardworking students. The reason being that the cutoffs for ECE usually are high. DTU ECE students get placed every year in MNCs like Qualcomm, SanDisk, TI, Samsung, and other such reputed firms that hire electronics engineers. A good percentage of the students also pursue an MS from renowned universities across the globe. Students also prepare for competitive exams like CAT, GATE, UPSE CSE, and even succeed in them.

The faculty here is very knowledgeable and teaches lucidly. They are also very lenient in their evaluation.

The curriculum is entirely focused on hardware, communication, computer architecture, advanced integrated circuits, signals and systems, superior probability, networking, and control systems. This is just a broad classification, the actual curriculum is vast, and students can find a lot of interesting sub-fields in electronics. The only drawback of the curriculum is that it does not offer any CSE electives. Assignments are scarce and can be efficiently dealt with as the solutions are readily available from various sources.

The workload is at the bare minimum level. The exams require just a couple of weeks of diligent studying. For the rest of the semester, one is free to explore his/her skills, hobbies, and interests.

75% and above GPA is straightforward to achieve and maintain. Pushing a bit more during the exam period can fetch even 80% and above. This all makes the college life here very exciting and rewarding. To sum up, ECE at DTU is a good option that can be exercised if one compares among the top NITs.

Which is better for ECE - MNNIT Allahabad or DTU?

MNNIT Allahabad is better for ECE. The department has a great faculty and the professors are helpful. The ECE department has many clubs and societies such as Robotics Club and Electronics Society. These clubs have various ongoing research projects. The faculties also take part actively in these projects.

Although the core job opportunities are not too encouraging, few companies do take part in the placements drive. In the past students got internship opportunities in companies such as Qualcomm, Samsung, Airtel, etc. Many IT companies also recruit ECE students. According to the recent highlights of MNNIT Allahabad placements, the highest CTC offered to ECE students is around INR 51 LPA.

Which should I take for engineering - physics at DTU or electronics and communication at IIIT Una?

Both of the colleges have their own specialties. It depends on your purpose for doing any of the mentioned courses. One of my friends graduated from DTU and he mentioned a few points about the same which may be helpful for you-

If your focus is on taking a decent job after graduation or earning money, opt for other options than physics.
But if you have your interest in the field of research in physics or you want to do your higher studies in the field of physics, then go for Engineering in Physics.
My friend from the physics branch in DTU straight away mentioned that the physics department in DTU doesn’t have decent placement opportunities, be it the on-campus placement or off-campus placement.
ECE being a practical-oriented subject has a lot of demand in the industry.
Also after graduating with ECE, you can sit for placements of both core companies and IT firms. Thus there will be a lot of job opportunities.
Half of the students who have enrolled themselves on the physics branch were misled and the other half was too sure and passionate about this branch.
Whereas, ECE at IIIT UNA can provide you with a good job right after you graduate.
