Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, also known as SPIT, is an autonomous research and engineering institute associated with Mumbai University. SPIT- The most amazing 4 years of your life!

Admission:

I had applied to DJ sanghvi, VJTI and COEO,pune. Out of these I made the cut for DJ sanghvi but kept SPIT over it because of the reputation and placement records it holds. Also the fees were less. I couldn't get computer branch in VJTI and COEO due to their high cutoff. Mostly students take admission after clearing MHTCET exam with good rank. But some of the seats are reserved for the JEE mains students. The cutoff for that is high too.

Bhavans campus is good and beautiful, it has botanical garden, lake, volleyball court, gym, 4 canteens, bhavan grounds, temple and gym khana
Lots of committe, and clubs(ecell, csi, rotract, enactus, sparks, etc), regular exciting events like trek, night cycling, spoorthi(sports), trip, many hackathons, many guest lectures
College is working only for 5 days, that is good and satisifying

Dislikes

Travelling to college daily since i live far away i.e i live in govandi and i travel to andheri daily. Which takes more than 1 hour

to get into SPIT, get admission in it by cet or jee mains exam both are fine With cet, you have more chances to get admission her as more seat percentage is given mhtcet exams studnets i have got 99.7 percentile in cet, i was trying for vjti and but i didn't get there. one of the important factor was very low fees as i have got tfws seat here For admission process, take all neccesory documents before going to college with dd for fees

To take admission in this college you have to score good rank in mht vet exam after that you can apply through cap portal of Maharashtra government website and you get allocated through cap round and once you freeze the college you will be provide date to submit your documents and pay fees and then you will be admitted and you have to search for accomodation on your own as the accommodation provided by college is too costly for average middle class students.

Both Cultural and sports fest are organized in the college

Dislikes

The attendance criteria is very strict and a student has to maintain minimum attendance of 75 percentage

Admission:

The admission process was smooth. The college accepts scores from both MHT-CET and JEE Mains Exams. The cutoff for EXTC Branch last year was 97.2 percentile. After the results the students have to apply in the CAP rounds through which they get the admission.After the CAP rounds,the remaining seats are done by the institution round.

Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT) is an autonomous research and engineering institute associated with Mumbai University. The institute is ranked 167th under the engineering category by NIRF. SPIT offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in engineering and computer applications. BTech is one of the most opted programs at SPIT. BTech is one of the most opted programs at SPIT. Admissions to the same are done through the MHT-CET entrance examination followed by counseling.
