- The campus life is very happening, every few days there is something or the other event going on. Somaiya is never silent
- In biotechnology department, be it students or faculties the ratio of girls is more than the boys
Dislikes
- The faculties are baised which is one of the biggest drawbacks
- There is no placements for undergraduate students in this department, the course curriculum is very hectic
- The administration office is not cooperative at all
Course Curriculum Overview
I love medical biology and microorganisms, this course provided me an opportunity to study these. The curriculum 60% prepares for the real world and 90% for further academic pursuits. Improvement in curriculum is more practical knowledge is required, teaching should be more of practical, exams are at proper imtervals

Campus Life
Aura is a big event in which biotechnology does a small event. 97% of all the books that are recommended by the faculties are available in the library. Smart classes are available, there is no sports for our department, only study.
Admission
I didn't apply for any other college, somaiya was the only one and the addmission process was very easy, no hassel as such, there was no cut offs for the exams the over all addmission process was pretty good and smooth.
Faculty
Faculty to student ration is maybe 1:15 ig. The faculty student relationshio is good, all the of them are approachable. Amit Jethwa, Jayesh Bhagat, Siddheshwar Bombale , they are the worsts faculties. They do not teach properly and missuses their power. Jacinta George is one of the best teachers, no one is as good as her, she is the goddess of Biochemistry. Exams are semester based. Medium in difficulty, most of the students clear the exams, course curriculum is relevent and good just a bit hectic
Interview Experience
There was nothing sort of group discussion or interview or written test for the admission process. We just had to fill the somaiya form and take admission. Bring all the documents for verification and the admission was done
Night Life
Somaiya campus is very vast. There are many spots where we can sit and chill, be it cafeteria, canteen, gardens, multiple gardens benches, mostly at night nobody is allowed to roam around in the campus unless and untill there is an event.
