06 Jun, 2025 MITWPU UG Fee Structure 2025-2026 has been released. The total academic fee is ₹ 1.2 Lakhs-₹ 21.3 Lakhs. 

MITWPU has released its Fee Structure for the academic session 2025-26. The PG annual fees is ₹ 1.3 Lakhs-₹ 12.1 Lakhs.

MITWPU has also released the Fee structure for AY 2025-26 for Doctorate programs. The Academic Fee is ₹ 3.23 Lakhs-₹ 15.3 Lakhs.

MIT World Peace University is a leading private engineering and management institution in India. Recognised by the UGC, MIT Pune Kothrud campus is a part of the MIT Group of Institutions. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs in Engineering & Technology, Management, Law, Design, and Computer Applications, among other streams.

Offered in 16 specialisations, MITWPU BTech is the flagship course here. Candidates should have cleared 10+2 with 50%, to be eligible for admission. MITWPU Admissions 2025

MITWPU Pune enrolls candidates based on National or University-Held Entrance scores. Eligible candidates, if interested, may follow the steps given below. The application fee for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses is INR 1800.

MITWPU Placements 2025

MITWPU Placements 2025 have not concluded yet. However, in 2024, a total of 1903 students were recruited out of 2544 registered students. More than 600 recruiters participated in the placement drive, achieving a median placement rate of 75%. In 2023, MITWPU highest package was offered at INR 51.36 LPA, while MITWPU average package stood at INR 7 LPA.

Yashwardhan Jaiswal, an MITWPU MCA Science student reviews that from semester 3, students become eligible for MITWPU Placements. Candidates must have more than 60% in both 10th and 12th as maximum companies come with the criteria of 60%. Candidates must not have any backlogs in any subject otherwise they won't be eligible for placements in companies like IBM, Capgemini, Accenture. Usually, the average package is around INR 6 LPA to INR 7 LPA. If candidates have the skillset, they won't have any problem in getting placed.

MITWPU Scholarships 2025

MIT-WPU offers financial assistance and scholarships worth INR 50 Crores to its meritorious students based on their academic performance in proposed National level/State Level entrance exams and internal tests conducted by MIT-WPU (MIT-WPU CET) for the academic year 2025-26.

  • Dr Vishwanath Karad Scholarship: This scholarship provides a 100% fee waiver for the entire duration of the Programme and is applicable for 5% of the total students’ intake.
  • MITWPU Merit Scholarship 1: These scholarships are provided at the rate of 50% fee waiver in total academic fee for the entire duration of the Programme up to 10% of the total students’ intake.
  • MITWPU Merit Scholarship 2: These scholarships are provided at the rate of 25% fee waiver in total academic fee for the entire duration of the Programme up to 12% of the total students’ intake.
  • Hon’ble Shri TN Seshan Scholarship: This special scholarship is offered to candidates admitted to the School of Government. The students at the School of Government who are the wards of in-service public servants with a minimum of 5 years of experience in government service shall receive the “Hon’ble Sri. T N Seshan Scholarship” which amounts to 15% of the Programme fee.
  • Elite Sportspersons Scholarships: These scholarships are awarded to deserving sports persons based on their participation/winning the prizes at Nationally/Internationally recognized sports competitions/events. Any candidate who participates/wins a medal at west zone inter-university, all India inter-university, national or international level, while representing MITWPU or playing for any Govt. sponsored/ Govt. recognized official sports organization [IOA, BCCI, etc.]; in any nationally/ internationally recognized sporting event; in individual or team sports; would be eligible for the following scholarship for the remaining period of the Programme, only if he/she participates and wins a medal on the National / International Level.

MITWPU FAQs

Ques. What is the MITWPU CET like?

Ans. The MIT-WPU CET consists of 150 marks which includes Online Computer Based Test (CBT) of 100 marks and/or Online Personal Interaction (PI) of 50 marks. All the entrance examination tests will be online, and applicants can appear the same from their home or convenient place comfortably. The test can be attempted through a laptop or mobile. The candidate should ensure that a good internet connectivity (minimum 1 MBPS) and an uninterrupted power supply is available during online examinations.

Ques. What is an honest review of MITWPU?

Ans. According to MITWPU alumni, It is the worst college there is. Alumni advise most candidates to not waste their time and money simply because they liked the advertisement of WPU. The 1 year fee of the college is exorbitantly high, which does not include the living expenses. That’s the fees of a 4-year course of most colleges in Maharashtra, and even in India. Also, there is no return on investment. There are very few placements and teaching quality is also not good. One would be wasting your parents’ hard earned money for nothing. All the promises made in the advertisements are fake.

Ques. What is the percentile required for MITWPU Admissions?

Ans. For MITWPU Pune BTech admissions, a minimum JEE percentile of 85% is typically required for scholarships. However, for specific scholarships like the Dr. Vishwanath Karad Scholarship, a percentile of 97 and above is required. For the MIT-WPU Scholarship 1, a 96 percentile is required. For MIT-WPU Scholarship 2, a 95 percentile is recommended.

Good side of MIT-WPU

Placement scenario and packages being offered

Placements were good and reputed companies and MNCs came for hiring, we were eligible from the fourth year for college placements. I guess around 28LPA was the highest from my batch and a good amount of students got placed like around 70%. I had different plans with my future so didn't took any placement but my friends are happy with what they received from the college and it was fast process.

Internship opportunity and Projects

I got my internship in Lean Quality Solutions(I) Pvt. Ltd. based in Baner in my desired field of Cloud and DevOps. It was a good company where I did many projects and tasks which were also reviewed by college mentor on weekly basis. Others also got good internship opportunities based on their interests and mostly were happy with the company and college mentors for reviewing and helping at every step.

College events, various clubs and facilities available in campus

Campus life is the best here, I was in the management department of our annual fest AAROHAN. There are many clubs and you can surely find a club with your interests and all of them have good infrastructure provided by the college. Our library had all the books you needed with advanced books also. Every classroom has a smart screen for a better understanding of the topic and subject and moreover all the teachers are good with how to use them. There is constantly something going on with the sports department as it's too active and participates almost everywhere with good teams and coaches.

Fees structure and scholarship available and eligibility

In the first year, I got a scholarship worth Rs 100000/- due to my good score in MHT-CET, and in the upcoming years the toppers would get a scholarship because of their good CGPA. The fee was Rs 295000/- for all four years and there has been hike every year by mere amount of 10-15k. Scholarships were provided to students from the J&K region with a background of Indian defense. I didn't undergo campus employment because I had other plans but we got good companies and stipends and the teachers would help in the placement procedure.

Course relevance and teaching methods in campus

The courses were quite relevant and helpful in the course, it was well prepared with good presentations and better explanations from the teachers. There were almost no areas where there could be any improvements as it was too well and never needed to depend on outer resources. The exams used to moderate level with no complications and would have help if there were any queries while writing the exam.

Faculties and their bonds with students

All the faculty members were quite qualified with in-depth information to the related curriculum. We could approach teachers given their free time and could resolve our queries and doubts with good clarification from the professors and easy to communicate with them. The noisy students would always be a problem to every teacher but here they would handle it very nicely and won't let it disturb the momentum of ongoing lecture.

Admission process and eligibility criteria

The admission process was not as hectic as it was deemed university. I reached the college and completed my process in a single day. The eligibility was 12th pass and the cut-off was different for different streams as they would have different cut-offs for different exams which were JEE MAINS and MHT-CET. I got in through the MHT-CET cutoff and the one thing I liked about the process was that there were no reservation quota based, it was fully based on your marks and abilities. They set up a tent and their team would help us in finding application from and where to submit fees.
