Symbiosis School of Economics Admission
Students need to apply online to appear for the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) which is a mandatory test for admission to B.Sc (Economics) Honours of SSE.
For BSc (Economics) Honours:
- Passed Standard XII (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recognized Board with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% Marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes).
- Admission is against qualifying the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interaction (PI). Writing Ability Test (WAT) will be included as a part of the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET). Personal Interaction (PI) will be conducted in online mode for the shortlisted candidates.
For MSc (Economics):
- Any graduate with exposure to Economics/Mathematics/
Statistics/Physics. B.Tech and B.E. graduates may also apply. Graduates from any statutory university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for SC/ST) at graduation level. - Students appearing for final year examinations can apply but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% or equivalent grade for SC/ST) at qualifying examination.

- The only thing to dislike is about the campus size.
- It would have also been better if there would have been sports facilities available in the college itself

Their is minimum amount of marks that you need to score in your boards and later there is an exam called SET which you need to give, after which if we pass that test their is PI and WAT that you need to give . On that basis Merit list is formed and you are selected.

- There are some good subjects like corporate finance and taxation which provides practical knowledge
- Brand value of Symbiosis International University.

- Campus life and some of the faculty members.
- Their credit system and grading system and also their course outline

I gave a Symbiosis entrance test to get into the Symbiosis School of Economics. It was an easy test where you don't need any separate course for preparation. I took this exam online. After that one topic is given and we have to write on that topic. After getting selected in this round there is one personal interview round and after a few weeks list will be out

The admission process at Symbiosis International University is quite smooth. the admission procedure comprises of an initial application, aptitude test, written ability test and a personal interview. individual can only sit for the interview and written ability test if they have qualified in the aptitude test. the application form is available by December on the Symbiosis International University portal

The course eligibility required an applicant to have good knowledge of Economics and mathematics. Based on the application form submitted, a few candidates were called for a personal interview with the existing faculty to judge the underlying knowledge of the applicant and whether he/she is suitable to be inducted as a student.

Symbiosis School of Economics (SSE) has a great brand image as compared to other colleges I applied to (NMIMS & SNU). I chose SSE as it has great optional courses related to finance which I was interested in (Corporate Finance, Portfolio management and more). The college is in Pune which is really good as its a student city. It has great places around. The main con of the college is that its campus is very very small. We don't have any ground or court hence all sports practices are held in parks, grounds and courts a little far away from the college. The faculty is also not that great even though the curriculum is very well made.

The course covers many fields like research methodology, journalism, accounts, finance and maths. It provides some industrial exposure not much. The college doesnÕt provide many internships. The faculty is good.

The course curriculum is well designed by considering every factor that students have enough time to grow some industry-related skills also.he course curriculum is very relevant. The teaching faculty members are well educated. There are hardly any days when your classes get cancelled. The study materials provided are industry-relevant. As an economics student, you have to put your own efforts in order to learn good skills.
