Apply for the imu CET exam. After clearing the exam, the college will take interviews and then the college will shortlist the cadets. The application form is available on the college website The form is free of cost and regular updates are available on the website as well The college needs to be more precise in selecting the cadets

Course Curriculum Overview

Exams were conducted always on time, the management is quite good and the exam level is not too hard. If studied well, one can score flying colours in their course. The teaching faculty is well experienced and knowledgeable. Cadets can gain much knowledge from them and become good officers.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 700000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship is of 18months after DNS and around courses and projects to be done in order to. Give officer rank exam. The company will allow u to do 18 months of onboard training after a pre-sea course in college.

Placement Experience

Placement are 100%. Each of the student is placed after the course in thete own company. Cadets gets stipend around 10k -40k per month and beside this the living and food cost is seperate which is provided by the company.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college has its own shipping company so it provides job assurance as well. Easily can get a loan if needed as you get a company sponsorship letter from the company. The stipend will be around 10 thousand INR.

Campus Life

Shipping Corporation of India ( sci) is the page on Instagram. Marine Gyaan is the website where students help their juniors with a better understanding of concepts. Marine insight is also among them.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are newly built and are very well maintained now. Almirah, mirrors, beds, and basic needs are provided. The food is really good with the college fees the hostel fees are added and in our college, it is mandatory to stay in a hostel. Pg is not allowed

I chose DNS(Diploma in nautical science) because this is the best I found because it gives you a training period for sure and it leads to your job further if you perform well in your further exams. There are many more benefits to it.

For admission in IMU, one must have 10+2 with having atleast 60% in pcm and atleast 50 % in english. The application forms of IMUCET are released in may- june, application fees is 1000 rupees. SC/ST and OBC enjoys the benefits of reservation and are even relaxed with age limit. Entrance exam was not held on 2020 and 2021 and the admissions were based on intermediate and pcm percentage. I have applied for Tolani Maritime University along with the Indian Maritime University. I have cleared both of the exams. The reason I don't opt for TMI(Tolani Maritime University) as it has too many fees for the BSc Nautical Science program. The reason I opt for Indian Maritime University is that the university is a government University and fees are also reasonable for the program and placements are good. You have to fill the IMU-CET exam for entrance. The admission criteria for the IMU (Indian Maritime University) is that you have to Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from recognized universities and a minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th / UG Degree....Read More
