Likes

The faculties are ok. There is ground for football and cricket is played there itself. Volleyball has a seperate section. Basketball court is also there

Dislikes

Hostel food is not upto the mark. No canteen inside campus
Areas surrounding hostel lacks cleanliness

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is ok but there are some subjects that are not necessary which is considered for the main exams. Curriculum is not very big nor too small. Internal exams are conducted 2 times in one semester.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are minimal. There is not much internships that we can take with regard to this field of job. Many company internships are shared with us but the companies rately contact back after applying.

Placement Experience

Placements are moderate. Companies like Synergy, MSI, Fleet etc come for campus selection.Even after the completion of course we can apply to different exams conducted by different companies and attend their interviews but getting campus placement is the best way.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure Odd semester:125000 Even semester: 100000 Scholarships are available only for backward caste and OBC. No scholarships for general category.Girls get more financial aids than boys.The complete cost of course is almost near 7 lakh

Campus Life

Culturals and other programs are very low. Only some festival like holi,pongal and deewali is celebrated. Sports events ate conducted annualy in a small way only. Library has enough books according to curriculum.

Admission

Admission is obtained after successfully passing the IMU CET EXAMS conducted annualy during June month. SC ST OBC caste have reservation benefits during admission process. For the course PCM in 12th should be greater than 60%. Eyesight of 6/6 is necessary.

Faculty

Faculties are well educated and most of them are captains. So the general knowledge about ships can easily be understanding. As I have opted for BSc Nautical Science I could know more about ship basics in the first semester itself.

The highest package of salary of placement is up to 4to 5 lakhs. And the average packages 2.5 lakhs. Every year 20 to 30% students will get placements after completing the degree. AMET university promises 90% of placement. We have different companies around the globe that come for placement interviews for cadets undergoing the bsc program. The starting package is 350000-450000 per annum(varies from company) and it can go upto 675000-850000 per MONTH (once u become a captain)

The truth about sriher

Course Curriculum Overview:

The thing that appeals to me is that along with teaching sports science they also teach basic biology which includes anatomy, physiology , biochemistry and genetics which is great as one can understand sports science more Deeply if they know basic biology. The curriculum does prepare you for real world applications as it has a one year compulsory internship program which will basically be the practical application of what you've learnt. There are no particular improvements that are required as of now. The frequency of exams is approximately once a month and they are decently hard except for the semester exams.
