Course Curriculum Overview
The thing that appeals to me is that along with teaching sports science they also teach basic biology which includes anatomy, physiology , biochemistry and genetics which is great as one can understand sports science more Deeply if they know basic biology. The curriculum does prepare you for real world applications as it has a one year compulsory internship program which will basically be the practical application of what you've learnt. There are no particular improvements that are required as of now. The frequency of exams is approximately once a month and they are decently hard except for the semester exams.
Internships Opportunities
There are various companies where the interns go to to provide assistance but mainly they're a supposed to work in the college itself as the college has a huge training facility for professional athletes and interns are supposed to train these athletes which gives them the required experience. We do get research projects in final year in the internship year and they are meant to help us specialise In a certain thing whereas projects in the initial years are more study oriented and help you learn your subjects better.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is 75,000 per year excluding exam fees which is around 2000 the fees is the same for each year and unlikely to increase. There are other fees like cultural fees which is also around 2000 but overall there are not many expenditures.
Campus Life
There is the culturals which is held every year around September and this years it was named meraki but every year the name changes and it is organised by the senior most batches of each course. Except for this there are multiple other small events that happen almost every 2 months there are some competions small functions a always going on always room for people interested to participate. There is a huge air conditioned library in the college and it is free to go to and has mostly all the required books and also a lot of computer systems that can be used by students. That classroom are air conditioned fully and equipped with projectors and white boards. Even the whole section is air conditioned. There are multiple clubs available for students to join like the drama club , debate club , fitness club etc There is a court / field for every sport that is football, tennis , basketball , volleyball , badminton , shooting , swimming pool. But there are no coaches available for these activities mostly
Admission
I had applied in dy Patil kabi Mumbai and got in as well but choose not to got here as it's overly priced. On the other hand Ramachandra is the best college that there is for this course and is really affordable and easy on the wallet. I made it to each college I applied to but I had only applied to one other college which is dy Patil Navi Mumbai. The admission experience is as decent it was on the basis of an interview which involved some personal questions as well as some theory questions from science. They prefer taking students which a science background and the cut off is around 60% for 12th boards
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is not that great honestly and the faculty are not approachable at all and are very rude when approached and not at all helpful to the point where all students usually end up in discomfort and there is no student faculty relationships and they're not at all helpful. I don't really have faculty members who I specially like or dislike but everyone in general is just as described as above. There are total of 3 internal assessments in one semester and one semester exam making it a total of 4 exams in one semester. In internals it is hard to pass but semester exams are decent not easy though. The curriculum is pretty relevant to the course and will help a person understand the course in depth.
Night Life
There is a huge proper fully air conditioned gym with a swimming pool(swimming pool is air conditioned as well)and there are multiple cafeterias in the college campus but the best one is from the sports science department which serves all healthy foods but also doesn't compromise on taste it a little on the expensive side but it's worth it. The library closes at 7 and the canteen in sorts science department closes at 5 but there are various canteens in the college campus like annexe which is open throughout the day. I have not opted for hostel as it's not that great but the in time for first years in 8 then for second years and other it's 10 as per my knowledge there are no campus in timings as the campus itself is a hospital so one can go in anytime. There are no famous hangout places nearby as it's on the outskirts but there is a kfc , a pizza place , subway , nearby where one can go. Yes it is safe to mostly roam around drying the day even for girls but u wouldn't reccomend at nig
