Student Snaps:

For students with categories like sc/st/EWS, the institute fees are near about 35000, and the hostel fees are 11500. Which total summed up to near about 47000. General category students have a total fee of around 1L30k (not completely sure). All these fees I have written are on a per-semester basis. There are many other scholarships for girl children or merit-based and family income-based.

Tuition fee depends on the income of the family of the student. The students are divided into 1 lakh below, 1 to 5 lakh and 5 lakh above categories. My complete cost for my semester is around 48,000. I have a scholarship which provides me 1000 per month financial assistance. I am in several pors which include CFI, Shaastra.

My campus life

The course is only provided by two campuses IIT MADRAS and IIT KHARAGPUR.Only few people will do this course and I am going towards my passion.

The tution fee will increase year by year.It will increase every year accordingly.The complete tuition fee will be 200000-500000.There are so many scholarship programs and events will be conducted.There will be exams conducted for scholarship and those who are eligible will get it.In the campus I had done the role as finance club leader for the event shaastra.I did volunter jobs for many NSS events.

IITM Experience

Fees without any scholarship will be 225000. But if you avail any kind of scholarship your fees would reduce drastically. I got scholarship based on reservation for SC/ST students. My tution fees is ZERO. I have to pay only the hostel fees

The Fees of the course is ~?2,25,000/yr. There are scholarships & fee waiver based on category & annual income. College in assist in availing scholarship offered by NSP and other trust providing scholarships.

1 . If your income is more than 5 lpa then you have to pay full fee,if it's below 5 and more than 1 lpa then you have to pay 1 lakh per year,if income is below 1 lpa then 20 to 30 thousand. 2 . I don't have any scholarship so I don't know about it.

a) SC/ST/PwD students are exempted from payment of tuition fee irrespective of their parental income.
b) GE, OBC-NCL, EWS students whose family income is less than Rs.1 lakh per annum shall get full remission of the Tuition fee.
c) GE, OBC-NCL, EWS students whose family income is less than Rs.1 lakh to Rs.5 lakhs per annum shall get remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fee.
d) All the students shall have access to interest free loan under Vidyalaxmi scheme for the total portion of the tuition fee payable
Dual Degree students have to pay B.Tech. fees for the first 8 semesters and M.Tech. fees for 9th & 10th semesters
For SC/ST students with scholarships, the advanced dining charges will be claimed from the Scholarship section. Advanced Dining charges and Student Medical Insurance Premium are subject to change depending on the tender.
