IIT MADRAS in my POV

The curriculum is designed in a way that overall development takes place. Students learn every little aspect of the course as well as all the other things that are required first hand in the future studies as well.

Internship opportunities are great in the college. One of the best among the other IITs. Texas instruments, JP Morgan Chase and Co. , Procter and gamble are some of the major companies providing internship in the campus.

Placements are above average like most of the other IITs in the country. Students become eligible after the 3 year to sit in the placements. And plans other than placements are research/PhD and also masters.

Two fests are held annually, namely Saarang and shaastra. All the books and journals are available in the library and if not physically present you can always get that in the digital library. Sports are one of the best among all the other IITs. Class are enhanced with cutting edge technology.

Hostel facility is also very good. Rooms are provided with wardrobe, bed and study table. Washroom cleaning is regular. Meals provided by the mess facilities is good and all the varieties of food is available. Registration process is not that complex.

I applied to BITS colleges and cleared the entrance exam that is BITSAT. I also applies for ISI Calcutta but didn't get through the exam. Admission process for IITM is Step 1 Clear JEE mains Step 2 Clear JEE advanced Step 3 Attend JOSSA counselling

Faculty to student ratio is fine enough to get all your doubts and concepts cleared. Faculties are easily approachable , and in case not , the teaching assistant is always there. Prof. Ipsita Saha - Physics prof , unique way of teaching Exam are in the format of quizzes so as to reduce pressure
