The faculty of our department is very nice. they have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.
Yes college also provide many scholarships to students and they were too helping.
"hillfair"-this is the cultural festival of the college two unforgettable nights filled with fun, joy, laughter, entertainment, learning, bonding, interacting with batchmates as well as seniors for the overall growth.

Dislikes

The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly .
Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. mess food is also not up to the mark . overall hostel condition is not good. almirah and chairs are broken ,
Teachers and staffs are bit of biased to the himachal pradesh

National Institute of technology review by first year

The campus area is very large its approximately 320 acres so you will get to see many things around you also the college is in himachal pradesh so you will get to see a lot of greenery around you.
There are many technical and cultural clubs and society in college which I liked the most because it will help you to get confidence in your life.
The faculty is well qualified we have Professors from all over India. Every professor is PHD holder.

Dislikes

The college is away from the city area so you will be getting connectivity issues

As this is NIT so the placements are good from private and other government colleges. The average package of NIT Hamirpur is 7.54 lpa and the highest package was 173 lpa in 2023. Thes placement recors is very good There are 100% placements in chemical, mechanical and architecture in 2024.

I liked the greenery of the college, it keeeps me refreshing all the time.
I liked the various clubs in the college for the personal development.
I liked the seniors as well as the faculty members.

Dislikes

I disliked the mess food quality and no cleanliness in the hostel rooms.
I disliked the restrictions upon the students of first year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for the electronics department is quite good it trains us for the placements and real world applications in the future upcoming years. There are many innovative subjects such as Entrepreneurship and Marketing Dynamics and Communication Skills.

I liked the architecture at the college. The department buildings are very well built with all the facilities.
I liked the atmosphere and the greenery at the college.

Dislikes

I disliked the way they put the restrictions for the first year.
There is a high chance that you might easily get into narcotics.

Placement Experience:

From the third year students can apply for the campus placements through the Placement Cell Of the College. Approximately 90 percent students get placed in the core companies. My plan after the degree is to work at a MNC to gain experience and then would try to do my masters from abroad.

weather condition or really really good and it is rainy season now and we have very nice weather here

voter sanitation is not so good we have poor voters sanitation hair water qualities also not good

The clubs and societies here are of top notch quality.
The lecture halls are modern equipped with smart boards.
The beauty and greenery of the campus are incomparable.

Dislikes

During monsoon , the pipeline for water supply gets frequently damaged, leading to water shortage.
The connectivity of the campus is not at all good
The internet facility provided here is very poor.

Placement Experience:

The best data of placement was from the placement of the batch of 2019-23, where highest package offered stood at ?1.7 Cr and the percentage of students placed from all the courses available were 72.47%.

The campus is lush green, and the environment is good.

Dislikes

They dont allow freshers to roam around the campus freely

The curriculam is old, it is not updated, as any other national Institute of technology. It really doesn't matter in the end you have to learn everything by yourself , and its okay this curriculam can introduce you to engineeeing.

I like the environment and location of this collage the campus is super beautiful
The gender ratio is approx 1:4 which is best as compared to other nits
The professors are really good and are cooperative a lot

Dislikes

I dislike 75 percent attendance criteria
Branch change is not available now so that’s also I dislike
A lot of restrictions for 1st year students

Placement Experience:

The placements of nit Hamirpur is very good Avg package of cs ki 15 16 lakh and overall 8 lakhs Internships can be from 1 st year But placement start from 3 rd or final year Highest package was offered to dual cs student of 1.52 cr

Pleasant atmosphere for study @NIT Hamirpur

Likes

Pleasant atmosphere and good weather conditions
Silent and soothing environment in which you can well focus on studies
Cleanliness and hygiene of campus is appreciated

Dislikes

Here is connectivity issue is a major problem as here nearest railway station is 80 kms away
In rainy season water supply gets affected due to block of pipes.
Here some of rooms are 4 seater which could be problem for someone.

By the end of 7th semester you will secure your placement and you can go for full time internship in 8th semester or can continue to learn and grow in college itself. Here in ECE branch 77% students are placed last year. Highest package last year was 35lpa. I am willing to give upsc exam.

Campus is great , there is greenrry all over the campus which makes it best
I would suggest them to please work on the water issue in yhe hostels
And the faculty's need to be more experienced and professionals

Dislikes

Water facilities in hostel is worst and cleanliness
The bathrooms stings so badly that u may not even survive
Mess faculty must improve their food processing

I myself find me to b tech keda and one who love to work with equipments and all .so i found mechanical branch great and even more interesting as we have to be on ground to work and we are able to experience the physics more accurately.

I liked the seniors of the college, they were very supportive and helpful towards the freshers unlike other colleges, I haven't had any ragging experience throughout.
the atmosphere of the college is good, the clean and cool fresh air keeps me refreshed all the time and anyone would love to study here.
the faculties were very helpful, focusing on each and every student to solve their doubts.

Dislikes

there are very restrictions for the students in the first semester and they are not even allowed to roam in the campus freely.
the weather here is not suitable for someone like me who has the habit of living in Mumbai.

Placement Experience:

Students from third semester can approach to companies through college for internships and from third year they can apply for campus placements. the highest package for this year was 1.71Crore and average was around 15lacs for CS department. 90% students are getting placed and some are going for higher studies.
