- The campus area is very large its approximately 320 acres so you will get to see many things around you also the college is in himachal pradesh so you will get to see a lot of greenery around you.
- There are many technical and cultural clubs and society in college which I liked the most because it will help you to get confidence in your life.
- The faculty is well qualified we have Professors from all over India. Every professor is PHD holder.
Dislikes
- The college is away from the city area so you will be getting connectivity issues
Course Curriculum Overview
In first year I think the course is not much relevant because they are teaching about every branch in first year. In some cases it is good thing as if a student have choosen wrong course or branch and have interest in some other branch so he/she can study of that also. But I think teaching must be of the respective departments from the first year itself.
Internships Opportunities
There are many internships offered to students in National Institute of Technology Hamirpur, Such as SVNIT summer internsgip program And many projects made by students You will also get mailed by college time to time for internship. companies like TCS, wipro, reliance.
Placement Experience
As this is NIT so the placements are good from private and other government colleges. The average package of NIT Hamirpur is 7.54 lpa and the highest package was 173 lpa in 2023. Thes placement recors is very good There are 100% placements in chemical, mechanical and architecture in 2024.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure of nit hamirpur varies based on program and the students category . For Btech/Dual degree/B Arch program : Tution fees is ?62500 per semester for general category. For student whose family income is between 1 to 5 lakh the fee is ?20000 per semester. For students with family income less than ?1 lakh the fee is ?13000 per semester. Mtech programs : Tution fees: is ?62500 for general. For sc/st/pwd the fee is ?21,100 . One time charges : ?21,100 at time of admission. Other semester charges:?21,100 per semester For scholarship you can apply in National scholarship portal(NSP).first you have to enter your details then you will be able to see for how many scholarship schemes you are eligible then select one scholarship and apply for it, remember one thing that you should apply for only one scholarship at a time.
Campus Life
There are mainly two fests organised in NIT Hamirpur , One technical fest known as Nimbus and other is cultural fest Hillfair. There are almost 30 clubs and societies in our college and all clubs are engaged in these fests
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is descent from other colleges there are some issues like internet ,but overall the hostels are good at this price. Meal quality is good and menu is decided based on students feedback as the students are from all over India the food is made so that everyone can eat that food.
Admission
I choose this college because i got it in Josaa counselling. For getting admission in National Institute of technology Hamirpur you need to give Jee mains examination and score a good percentile i.e above 90 then apply for josaa counselling and choose your preferred branch and college.
Faculty
The faculty in National Institute of technology Hamirpur is well qualified and all of them have deep knowledge in their subjects. The faculty is very supportive. There are two theory exams conducted per semester one is Mid semester and other is End semester exams. The exams are not much difficult you need to study very less in comparison of jee. You can get a good CGPA if you only study for 1 or 2 hours a day.
