Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriclum is quite new and it is made according to industry needs. It includes both theory and practical knowledge. It prepares me well for real world application and jobs. Areas for improvement: Theory classes should be reduced and more practical learning should be made. Every 1-2 month you have Sts which is of 90 minutes and one ETE at the end of sem which is of 180mins. Exam difficulty level is moderate to high.
Internships Opportunities
I am a fresher so i haven't got any internship yet. You will start getting interships from 3rd year. Many companies comes here for intership from 3rd year. They will take you in rajpura campus too for internship with stipend.
Placement Experience
Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees year wise is 160000rs which is 80000rs per semester. Total tuition for 4 years is 640000rs. It keeps increasing per year for new batches. There is no admission fees. My batchmates also pays the same tuition fees. As such there is no scholarship.
Campus Life
UTSAV, Yaadon ka carvaan , Annual cultural fest, Run chase, Garba night, Dj nights , Hackathons are some of the fests which are held frequently every sem/year. Mostly all kinds of books are whether it is tech related or of theory subject. All classes are air conditioned with projectors. There are many clubs here , some of them are : CU arcs, Hostel committe, Euphony, Pic it, Staccatos, NSS , NCC , Readers club, etc. Campus life is good with good infrastructure provided.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilties are good with respect to the amount we are paying. I am in a 4 person sharing room with a common washroom. There are for both AC and Non AC rooms with attached washroom/common washroom. Each 4 seater room has 4bed with mattress , 4 study table with chair and 4 almirah. Mess food is overall good. We have a different menu every day. For registration for hostel you will get a mail after taking admission , the whole process is smooth. It is affordable.
Admission
I applied for BML Munjal University before Chitkara university, Baddi. I got a confirmed admission from many colleges like BML munjal university, GNA university, Chandigarh university, etc. I chose this college over other because it was not too costly and crowd is less compared to other private universities. I was not rejected by any colleges which i applied. For admission you have to fill registration form after that you have to attend the councelling. For Elegibility you have to score minimum 60% in each subject in 12th standard. Jee mains is accepted.
Faculty
There are approximately 7 to 8 teachers for each subject. One teacher is mentor for around 40 to 45 students. Faculty and student relationship depends upon the students behaviour and discipline. The faculties i like in college are: Dr. Madhu Gupta. Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Harpreet Kaur. They are best faculties. Faculty i didn't like is Dr. Gaurav Garg. In each there are 3 sessional tests and 1 end term examination. They are moderate. Course curriculum is relevant.
