IIIT UNA Second Year Student Review

From our batch the curriculum is changed which is good . In new curriculum there is main focus on practical knowledge and most of the subject which are not useful is real life and job are removed in new curriculum.

I am a second year student and I do not know much about internship but I can share my full experience. Most of the 3rd and 4th year get internship and get ppo . Companies like amazon , google , nvidia, flipkart and many small companies give internship .

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

I am currently btech from IIIT Una , and i would like to share overview of fee structure and schlarship. Institute fee for 1 semester : 135000[which include other non refundable fee ] and Hostel fee for 1 semester is appx. 50000 making all fee for 4 year is appx. 15 lakh. For obc and ews which have income < 250000 can avail government schlarship [NSP] and sc st on < 8 lakh

There all total 9 club which include almost all the type of activity some of them are [ sargam , ecova , aavesh, force , zenith , astral] . Famous 3 are aavesh for electronics , force for coding and zenith for sports.

In the hostel there is 3 seater room is alloted . Once in a weak all room are clened . There is only facility of fans in the room[ 2 fan in 1 room]. Hostel room are alloted random. Mess food is above average .

I choose this college because it is under institute of national importance , I get this college in csab councelling 1st round . My rank was at par to get this college . I also get YMCA Faridabad cse(data science) but I do not go because of no hostel facilty.

The faculty of iiit una are well qualified and good in nature . Student Teacher ratio is 35:1. Most of the teacher make good interaction with sudent.I most like teacher is Ina Thakur. In a semester there are 2 exam ( mid sem and end sem) mid sem weight=30% and end sem weitage is 50 %.rest is cont. assessment. For thoery + lab subject weightgae is 3:1

Nightlife is average in 1st year they do not get out after 10 pm . There is only 1 canteen in whole college and if bad food was made in mess then there is so much crowd at canteen . Rate are nominal in the canteen compared to street food and quality is good.
