Likes

The campus is good but can be improved by increasing number of hostels
Faculty is good and they mostly teach by ppt
Overall infrastructure is good except for the one who are staying outside

Dislikes

Not very appreciable wifi speed it's just fine
I don't liked the washroom facilities not enough washrooms
Hostels can be made inside campus but they aren't made yet

Course Curriculum Overview

I just wanted to code that's why I chose cse and the placements statics are pretty good too there are not much future left in mechanical and civil and other core branches that's why I chose cse as my course

Class Size: 156Course Fees: INR 135000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are pretty good this year so many students got staggering amount of money and I don't know about the semester in which placements start 87% students got placements during current placement session

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 270000 tution fees yearly in iiit una I paid 95600 for mess and hostel and 5000 for security charge Everyone fees is same no scholarships for any category students Reliance scholarship and various state scholarships are available

Campus Life

Students run many clubs and fests are also held every year I don't know about how many fests but yeah i think they are good students can get good exposer if they want tosports facilities are also available

Hostel Facilities

Meals are pretty decent S but not the best but edible rooms are generally around 1.5 thousand rupees one night hostels are pretty affordable like it's 100000 approx a year something less than that so yeah

Admission

IIIT una accepts admision through jossa and you have to qualify the cutoff for the college once get seat from jossa or csab admission process is shared to your Gmail or it is uploaded on institute website

Faculty

faculty to student ratio but we are 76 students in one class and we got 6-8 faculty members on us so it's pretty decent i didn't like biotech sir it's just a boring subject and I don't know about exams much

Night Life

We got gym till 8.30 library till 12.00 public area are open all night Nescafe inside campus and it is safe to roam at night inside and outside of the campus but it is not allowed to go outside at night

Placement Experience:

From 6 semester students are eligible for campus placements . Companies that visits are college are Google , Microsoft, Amazon Zomato and much more . If you study well then there is no tension about placements

Placement Experience:

Student become eligible form 7th semesters, Companies like Amazon, DeShaw, SalesForce, Deloitte, etc visit here and they respectively take a good number of students. Highest package was 80 LPA by DeShaw and average package is around 13 to 15 LPA 93 % students are placed I am also planning to sit in the placements and going in the development feild

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

AS I MENTIONED EARLIER PLACMENTS ARE IMPROVING EVERY YEAR , 2022 BATCH CAN MAKE A HUGE JUMP IN 2026 . MANY OF THEM HAVE ALREADY GOT PPO . RECNETLY QUIZZES GAVE 43 LPA TO 3 STUDENTS OF 2025 PLACEMENT PERCENTAGE IS CLOSE TO 85 I AM AIMING TO GET PPO IN 3RD YEAR

Opportunities for placements are quite well. Before COVID lots of companies came for placements and post the number of companies was reduced. I want to join a company after getting my degree. I am not interested in higher studies.

Awesome college

Admission:

I prepared for 2 years then cleared jee mains exam. The preparation was not hard though you need to be consistent with your studies. After the result I filled my counselling on jossa.nic.in with the priorities of colleges and branches. After that there were 7 rounds I got my seat in 6th round.
