Likes
- The faculty of our department is very nice. they have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.
- Yes college also provide many scholarships to students and they were too helping.
- "hillfair"-this is the cultural festival of the college two unforgettable nights filled with fun, joy, laughter, entertainment, learning, bonding, interacting with batchmates as well as seniors for the overall growth.
Dislikes
- The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly .
- Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. mess food is also not up to the mark . overall hostel condition is not good. almirah and chairs are broken ,
- Teachers and staffs are bit of biased to the himachal pradesh

- The Campus is very beautiful it is lush green campus and the infrastructure is also good .
- The placements are also good as compared to other nits of its tier .
- The lab and workshop facilities are good and all things are well maintained.
Dislikes
- The sanitation and cleanliness is little concerns in hostel.
- The mess food and water supply is also below average
- The Campus is located at remote area so chances of coming good company is also little less .
Placement Experience:
After 6 semester students are eligible for placement and here many students got pre placement opportunities and the percentage of students getting placement is also very good it's nearly 70% overall and in tech branches it's nearly 90%.

- I would like social interaction is much needed for and my college provide this type of invorment
- Faculty are so good and very knowledgeable and helpful also

- Here the problem of water time to time 😭
- Here in mess the only some type of food gives no variation in food a lot
- Here in one room three or four students sharing

The placement of nit Hamirpur are on average good almost maximum student are placed anywhere remain who has not placed is preparing civil services examinations and other top most exam conducting in India highest package are 1.73 lac per annum are offered one student in off campus

- The medical facility is very good the ambulance came to pick us
- The mess food is fine and the faculty are so good

- The size of room is not fine and there is so much discomfort
- Here is not more much package for other branches expect cse
- There is shortage of water in One block which cause problem
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course for first year same for all the students which is fair and the mode of teaching of teacher are good but they have to focus on the field in which you are onward first year the difficulty level of exam is not much difficult but fine it is fair for all

- Cricket ground are also very large.and Badminton court is also available in campus.
- There is 2 Gymare available in college which we can use any time .
Dislikes
- There are many restrictions in college like you can't go any place without permission.
- Wifi,Lan are not working properly at this time In my hostel.
- Mess food is not very good .combination of food is not perfect.
Placement Experience:
In Electrical engineering course Highest package is about 18LPA.and lowest package of Electrical engineering is about 3LPA.and also average package is descent. You can apply for Off campus placement which is also available.

- Campus beauty - The campus is quite big and beautiful to explore. You will find natural beauty and fresh air everywhere
- Teaching faculty: The teaching faculty is very good actually. Especially the maths faculty, teachers are highly educated and focus on concepts and practical knowledge
- Workshops - The seniors organize various workshops regarding their societies . You can learn coding and explore various domains for overall development.
Dislikes
- Distance between hostel and main gate: The main gate is actually quite far from hostel , you have to take electric vehicles for convenience.
- Conjusted rooms - the hostel rooms are four and three seaters .
- Water issue - Drinking Water supply suffers alot
Placement Experience:
The placements are pretty decent in every branch. Talking about civil engineering teh average package is about 7 lakhs . The placements are both in tech and core .
This year 70 % students were placed and a few went for research.

- Campus is very big to explore and one can enjoy their campus life
- Seniors are very friendly if you ask them for help

- Old faculty in many departments which makes difficult to contact with them
- Lack of wifi in many hostels. Although LAN works but it still have many issues

Campus placement are above average here. This year the average placement was around 9 lakhs. Average placement is increasing every year. As I'm in first year right now, so I don't know about how many companies and profiles offered to students

- The location is very much beautiful and you can see many good views from many places in campus.
- The faculty as well as seniors are very supportive to all students.
- The student ratio is pretty good which is around 24-30 girls per 75 boys.
Dislikes
- There are so many restrictions on 1st year students for first 2-3 months
- There is a little scarcity of water maybe once a month.
- There are too many projects and practicals in 1st semester
Placement Experience:
The institute offers incampus placements with an average placement of 8 lakhs per annum and the highest placement offered was of 1.2cr per annum as of I heard. I don't know much of placements coz I am also just a 1st year student.

- The atmosphere over here is great, the greenery and the cool fresh air always makes you feel refreshing.
- The faculties are very supportive as well as experienced, they try to solve the doubts of each and every student.
- The societies here at NITH are very helpful for the overall personal development of students as they conduct various events, workshops and competitions throughout the year.
Dislikes
- I have not yet experienced but have come to known that the students gradually get addicted to various sort of narcotics.
- The college has a very high quota for home state students.
- The girls to boys ratio is not very good, it's approximately 2:9.
Placement Experience:
NIT Hamirpur has an impressive placement record. For the year 2023, out of 952 eligible students, 690 were placed, achieving a placement rate of 72.65%. The highest salary package offered was a whopping INR 173 LPA, while the average salary stood at INR 7.54 LPA.

- The campus is like heaven the compus is very good
- The campus at top and views are really such good
- Decent infrastructure and large campus and experienced faculty

- There are many restrictions and not allowed the first year student to go out
- You shouldn't go out with slippers and shots you should wear shoes
- There is a water scarcity in this hilly area

The 8th semester students are eligible for campus placement
713 companies visited the campus, and 690 students were placed out of 952 eligible students. The highest package offered was INR 173 LPA, and the median package for BTech and MTech was INR 8.25 LPA and INR 7.50 LPA,
