- There are too many projects and practicals in 1st semester
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is updated as per the new education policy and much stress on students is just a myth now as per NIT Hamirpur. And the exams are also not much difficult just study as per the syllabus and take advice from seniors as well
Placement Experience
The institute offers incampus placements with an average placement of 8 lakhs per annum and the highest placement offered was of 1.2cr per annum as of I heard. I don't know much of placements coz I am also just a 1st year student.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for general students is around ?108000 per semester but as I am an st category student, my tution fees is zero and only the hostel fees including mess also is to be paid qhich is just ?40000 per semester
Campus Life
The institute has a beautiful campus with many beautiful sceneries to see and you can explore new things here. But for 1st year there are just a bit restrictions for starting 2-3 months just to prevent ragging.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel provides good, tasty and hygienic as well and a wide variety is available including southern food. Evening snacks along with 3 meals per day are given and students do not require to purchase any eatables from outside as I think of.
Admission
The most important point due to which I chose this was that it was not much far away from my home and therefore I had some idea about the location and was familiar to this location. But yet if you are from some other state as well, it is surely a good option for you.
Faculty
Talking about faculty, they all are so much supportive to all students. The first exams you see would be mid sem exams just one and a half month later joining the institute but you don't have to take stress about it.
