Earlier, the selection criteria for B.Tech was HPCET, now the varsity accepts JEE Mains scores for admission.
Admission to the first 50% of the seats will be through JEE Mains and the remaining 50% will be filled up on the basis of 10+2 merit scores. The JEE Main Cutoff 2021 is 10 for General Category.

HPTU Admissions 2024

Admissions for Himachal Pradesh Technical University are based on both academic performances 12th examinations as well as different common entrance tests required for the specific courses. The admission forms for the university are provided online.

For B.Tech, admission is based on JEE Main and HPCET results whereas for B.Arch, admission is based on NATA score.
Admissions to UG courses such as BCA, B.Pharm, B.Sc and BBA are based on academic performance in 12th.
Admissions to M.Tech are based on GATE results while admissions to MBA are based on CAT/ CMAT results.
For M Pharm, admissions are based on GPAT score whereas for M.Sc & MCA courses, admissions are merit based.

How to apply?

The candidates, who fulfill the eligibility criteria for the required courses, can apply online before the last date provided.

Visit the online admission portal and register yourself by filling out the application after going through the instructions.
Once the form is filled, a username and password will be generated.
Login by entering your username and password and fill the academic and personal details.
Submit the application form. After submission, the counseling date would be informed and the candidate must not fail to attend it.
During admission the candidate should carry the required certificates like Mark sheets, Degree Certificates, National Level Entrance Examinations result sheet. Once all the formalities are completed during the admission, the selection letter will be issued.

Visit the official website of Himachal Pradesh Technical University to check the HPCET results.
In the results tab, check for the HPCET results notification and click on it.
Enter your roll number in the HPCET registration page.
Once you enter the roll number, click “submit” and the results will appear on the screen.

Himachal Pradesh Technical University provides students the opportunity of availing below mentioned scholarships:

1. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme to SC/ ST Students: Students belonging to SC/ ST category with annual income not more than INR 2,50,000 are eligible for this scholarship which includes Maintenance Allowance and Compulsory Fee.
2. Post Matric Scholarship Scheme to OBC Students: Students belonging to OBC category with annual income not more than INR1,00,000 are eligible for this scholarship which includes Maintenance Allowance and Compulsory Fee.

Dr. Ambedkar Post- Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward Classes: Students belonging to General Category (exempting ST, SC and OBC) with annual income not more than 1,00,000 are eligible for this scholarship which includes Maintenance Allowance, Compulsory fee, Tuition fee, Games free, Medical fee, Examination fee etc.

Mukhya Mantri Gyandeep Yojna: This is a government sponsored financial assistance scheme for the students from the state of Himachal Pradesh pursuing any course. In this scheme, the Interest subsidy from any Bank on Education Loan availed up to INR 10,00,000 is admissible.

Ans. HPTU offers a PG Diploma in Yoga. Candidates who would like to pursue the course have to submit a Medical Fitness Certificate during the application process to be eligible for the program.

Ans. Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) offers UG courses such as B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Pharm, B.Sc HMCT, BBA and BCA. Everything about HPTU

Likes

Focuses on education. Not a Single class goes waste. Every teachers gives notes and teaches properly and test are also taken.
Everything is done in proper manner. Every activities performed annual function farewell.

Dislikes

Universities is okay, but the results of semesters are a little late and teachers. Sometimes do partiality.
University is good, but the colleges that are under the university might have some problems like partiality, like there is no proper ground.

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

The curriculum prepares us for our future for our job. We do lab work, which is Our future job lab work is mandatory if you want to go to industry in field of pharmacy. Teaching methods are great for still teach you. They'll give you the lecture and the next day. They'll ask you what they have taught yesterday and they give tests. Our special exams occur, and the time limit time limit is short so that we can prepare ourselves for the upcoming future difficulties that we have to deal with . is there a national exams, then it occurs for 30 marks and the time limit is one hour if we are talking about the final exams, then the time limit is three hours and the marks is 75. Exams are not that much difficult. If you study well, and if you focused on what your teacher taught in classes, then they will be no difficulty for you exam.

Campus internship opportunities and stipend

You can get into quality, assurance, department, quality control department in production department in marketing, et cetera. For freshers the companies arrange three month or one month training with stipend for 15,000 or something, and after completion of that training, you will be a part of that company. You'll get a certified position.

Hostel life is good affordable. The semester fees of a hostel ranges from 27,000 to 30,000. The meal quality is okay. There is very simple registration process for hostel. The environment is good and the location of the college is also at the top of hill. It provides a clean and pure environment.

The campus is not so big. And there is no hostel facilities for girls and we have to face many obstacles in the rainy season

The labs are clean, and we have working PCs, a big library, Wi-Fi and a good study hall. No big tech issues.

I applied to AKTU, IPU, and a few private colleges. I got selected in 2, but picked this college as it has low fees, good teachers, and fair job offers. Seniors also gave good reviews about the labs and coding help. Yes, I could not get a seat in IPU due to low rank. I was close but missed the cutoff for CS. My JEE score was not high enough. I did not apply under spot round as I had already joined this college. Admission is based on JEE Main or state test like HPCET. Cutoffs differ for each branch. You need to pass 12th with PCM. I took HPCET and got in through state round. Process was easy and docs were checked online and in college.

I also gave jee mains and advance but wasn't able to get admission in nit or iit. For jngec, one can give hpcet exam

For admission I gave test of hp set and in counciling I got this college.U can also apply in the basis of your jee result.there are onlye 80 seats in a college for a perticular brach. And it is very hectic process of giving counciling as it takes 1 full day approx 16 hours

HPTU offers different scholarship programme and financial assistance to B.Pharm students. Following are the details regarding the scholarship programme:

Post Matric Scholarship Students for SC Students: This scholarship provides Scheduled Caste (SC) students with full financial support. Students with a yearly family income under Rs 2,50,000 are eligible for this scholarship.
Post Matric Scholarship Students for ST Students: This scholarship provides Scheduled Caste (SC) students with full financial support. Students with a yearly family income under Rs 2,50,000 are eligible for this scholarship.
