The clubs and societies here are of top notch quality.
The lecture halls are modern equipped with smart boards.

Dislikes

During monsoon , the pipeline for water supply gets frequently damaged, leading to water shortage.
The connectivity of the campus is not at all good

Course Curriculum Overview

The B-tech. first year curriculum is same for all irrespective of their departments. The labs and workshops prepare all for real-world applications of the course . The quality of labs for my course is awesome.

Placement Experience

The best data of placement was from the placement of the batch of 2019-23, where highest package offered stood at ?1.7 Cr and the percentage of students placed from all the courses available were 72.47%.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

For students of general category and having annual family income more than 5LPA, the tution fee is ?62500 per semester, the one time institute charge is ?13000, per semester institute charges are ?21100. The tution fee mentioned above reduces to ?20833 for students having annual family income between ?1-5LPA , and reduces to?0 for student belonging to SC/ST/PwD/annual income bracket of ?0-1LPA .

Campus Life

The two major festivals are the annual cultural fest 'HILLF'FAIR' and the annual technical fest 'NIMBUS'. The library is uses advanced technologies and contains round 90000 books and novels. Classrooms are modern and have all the basic facilities.

Hostel Facilities

Kailash Boys Hostel gets alloted to first year boys of B. Tech and B.arch . The triple sharing rooms are equipped with basic furnitures like table, chair, bed and almirah, along with two tubelights and separate fans.

Hostel Fee: INR 75000 per year

Admission

The eligibility is same as other nits, i.e 75% in 12th boards along with jee mains . I choose this college over Vit , because of the brand value of 'NIT' , and also the amazing and peaceful campus life.

Faculty

Each and every teaching faculty member here is PhD holder. For each semester, the exam system includes mid-sem , end-sem and internals. Weightage of marks is 30 for mid-semester exam, 20 for internals and 50 for end semester exams.

Overview of NIT HAMIRPUR

Placement Experience:

The placements are really good especially for computer science and electronics. This year only one of our senior got a 1.2 crore package he was of computer science branch. Rest of the branches also have a decent package 11 lpa being the average of all branches combined and also chemical branch has a 100 percent placement rate.

I found that placement ratio is nice in my branch I think my branch has major role in real life because chemistry is real life thing Definately if teacher can improve their way of teaching like make class more interesting 3 hour exam and exam is hard

Placement Experience:

Not sure but I think from 6th semester ur eligible for placements. There are lot of Companies that visit NIT Hamirpur like google , Infosys,TISCO and etc. Highest package ever offered is 1.75cr in CS branch and each year 1cr plus package are offered to cs students by different companies like google , meta and etc . The percentage of students placed is normally 80 to 90percents overall. And I also intend to get a decent package after my degree

Nit Hamirpur and experience

Placement Experience:

The campus placements of nit Hamirpur are very much good and the highest package offered in 2022 is 173 lpa and in 2023 56 lpa. I don't think so that that the starting packages are very bad. Average package is 7.54 lpa in all over courses

This was the best college I was getting computer science branch in. This college has an average package of 21lpa for cse and the coding culture and alumni network is also really good. So I gave jee mains and got 96percentile in this percentile I had few options of Nit kurukshetra (material science) , IIT UNA and NIT HAMIRPUR (electrical engineering), I also applied for MNIT jaipur in EC branch but didn't make it in councelling so I have to choose between nit kurukshetra or nit Hamirpur so I choose nit Hamirpur because I didn't wanted material science branch. The reason to reject IIIT una is because it's still under development as it's recently established so it's infrastructure and campus is not as developed as NIT Hamirpur. The admission process for coming in NITH is simple clear jee mains exam and fill joosa or csab councelling but u must have 75% in boards....Read More
