Course Curriculum Overview
The B-tech. first year curriculum is same for all irrespective of their departments. The labs and workshops prepare all for real-world applications of the course . The quality of labs for my course is awesome.
Placement Experience
The best data of placement was from the placement of the batch of 2019-23, where highest package offered stood at ?1.7 Cr and the percentage of students placed from all the courses available were 72.47%.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
For students of general category and having annual family income more than 5LPA, the tution fee is ?62500 per semester, the one time institute charge is ?13000, per semester institute charges are ?21100. The tution fee mentioned above reduces to ?20833 for students having annual family income between ?1-5LPA , and reduces to?0 for student belonging to SC/ST/PwD/annual income bracket of ?0-1LPA .
Campus Life
The two major festivals are the annual cultural fest 'HILLF'FAIR' and the annual technical fest 'NIMBUS'. The library is uses advanced technologies and contains round 90000 books and novels. Classrooms are modern and have all the basic facilities.
Hostel Facilities
Kailash Boys Hostel gets alloted to first year boys of B. Tech and B.arch . The triple sharing rooms are equipped with basic furnitures like table, chair, bed and almirah, along with two tubelights and separate fans.
Admission
The eligibility is same as other nits, i.e 75% in 12th boards along with jee mains . I choose this college over Vit , because of the brand value of 'NIT' , and also the amazing and peaceful campus life.
Faculty
Each and every teaching faculty member here is PhD holder. For each semester, the exam system includes mid-sem , end-sem and internals. Weightage of marks is 30 for mid-semester exam, 20 for internals and 50 for end semester exams.
