The faculty of our department is very nice. they have very strong knowledge of the subject and also they are involved in very good research project.
Yes college also provide many scholarships to students and they were too helping.
"hillfair"-this is the cultural festival of the college two unforgettable nights filled with fun, joy, laughter, entertainment, learning, bonding, interacting with batchmates as well as seniors for the overall growth.

Dislikes

The placements of my college have became quite bad gradually, and they have fallen quite badly .
Hostels and their washroom are in pathetic condition. mess food is also not up to the mark . overall hostel condition is not good. almirah and chairs are broken ,
Teachers and staffs are bit of biased to the himachal pradesh

Likes

Overall the college is nice.The scenic beauty of the college is quite impressive. The infrastructure of the campus is well maintained .
The college obviously provides a nice platform to improve my personal and professional skills and also helps in my development.
It is a nice place to make some new friends and increase the interactions and build some connections.

Dislikes

The faculty of my department is not that nice as compared to other branches in the aspect of teaching and personal behaviour.
The placement status of the college needs improvement.It is not good in comparison of other NITs.
The strictness regarding the safety of girls is over the line . I mean this much security is sometimes not required and can be annoying for many.

Placement Experience:

From fourth year the students become elligible for campus placements. Many companies like amazon,samsung visit our campus. Highest package offered this year was about 50 lakhs and average package was 8 lakhs as per companies. Placement rate is nice but the packages offered in the last is not that great. I aspire to be a computer engineer.

My time at Nit Hamirpur has been transformative, blending academics with holistic growth, yet the one thing that stood out the most was the serene beauty and peace you get in the campus.
I absolutely love the senior junior culture since it provides you with alot to learn from the seniors and a healthy environment amongst everyone
And how can i even forget the delicious maggi you get especially when its raining outside, its heavenly.

Dislikes

I did not appreciate the in timings for girls as they arent the same for the guys which is absolutely infuriating at times.
I do not appreciate how there are countless restrictions even in the end of semester 1
I do not appreciate the close mindedness of people here, since its a hilly and less developed area, its still shameful considering its a NIT

Placement Experience:

The placements are just as any other NIT. 24-48lpa for cse students which is a good amount if ur just starting. If no placement is offered then theres plenty of things u can consider, like having your own startup, going for Mtech, etc.

NIT Hamirpur : A Honest Review

Campus is beautiful and full of greenry.
Offers various streams of engineering and specializations in M.Tech.

Dislikes

Hostel are less compare to number of students. Room are congested. There is shortage of water.
Food Quality of the hostels are not upto the par.
Faculty to student is also less. Equipments in the lab are also very old.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester we becomr eligible for college placements. Around 120 companies visit the campus of IT sector, Core Sector, Banking Sector and some research companies. Highest package was 1.2 crore Rs off campus. Average is around 12 lakhs. My plan after b.tech is going for a masters degree.

The compute is very beautiful and it has very good amount of area in campus and views are really stunning from the college we can see dhauladhar ranges from the college which are covered from the snow during winter and we also see very nice sunset
The college has student activity centres which has gym and basketball and badminton and snooker and table tennis and many more activity.
A new computer centre is made in college which enables us to use computer and access many facilities.

Dislikes

As there are not many things to be disliked in college but some of things are that there is so much restriction in college.
Students are not allowed to move out from hostel at night.
Availability of canteen in college is not there there are much less eatable shop in college.

Placement Experience:

In final year students are eligible for campus placement that is from seventh semester and the company which visit are L&T , Wipro, Tata steels, Jindal steel works,etc. Precious year highest package was 54 lakh and nearly 80 percentage of student get place from my branch and my plans after getting the degree is I will prepare for government job.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement procedure, from semester 7 students became for it. And if we talk about companies, it veries according to your cgpa, you must have good cgpa for big and reputed companies. The highest ctc gone to 2 cr last year.

The scenery in the evening is very good and the hostel staff is very sweet and sincere
The teachers are cooperative and willing to help those who really want to learn
The peers in hostels as well as in classes are very generous

Dislikes

The senior junior culture can be considered toxic
Some teachers are really unreasonable and not good
Bad reputation due to a few bad students

Placement Experience:

Being a research oriented branch not many companies are available for core branches however many students sit in cs and non tech placements and thus we have a 60% placement record which can be considered good

3 Years in NITH passed like running water

Being a male student from the mechanical branch. i think the gender ratio here is very good compared to a standard engineering college
the campus is lush green and the quality of air is very good. and the surroundings is also perfect the city is located at a perfect distance, not too far not too close
The buildings in the campus look very good and majestic, i literally feel like its a technical college

Dislikes

the administration like any other college is not that good.
being in an off-beat city, there is minimal induatrial exposure and also the lack of good places to goof around in the city. boring city, boring people.
the locals or the homestate people here get the college at a very low rank so its like they produce a wide variety of students present in the same class with even 5 fold rank difference.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college are good enough considering a middle class background as i am from. the opportunities provided are very good compared to private and some government colleges even. The students are eligible for campus placements from 7th semester onwards, some students are even offered pre placement offers in fifth and sixth semester.

The campus is quite beautiful having good infrastructure.
Certain good facilities such as e-library, sport facilities etc are available.

Dislikes

Hostel facility needs to be improved. Hostel staff is not at all helpful.
Network facility is not good including hostel Wi-Fi.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our colleges are good.The average package is around 12 LPA while the highest package offered last year was 1.7 CPA.Some companies that often visit our campus are Amazon, Paytm, Samsung, Bloomberg, TCS, Infosys etc.

The campus is very much neat and clean having good infrastructure
There are lot of clubs and societies and good alumni network
There is good facility for sport persons.

Dislikes

For 1st year there are lot of restrictions.
The mess food is not that much good it is decent
There is lot of study and exam pressure.

Location and infrastructure of college is amazing and very beautiful. I love the peace and the nature vibes of this institute. The weather of the campus is also very nice and calm. There is much lush greenery inside as well as outside of campus .
The supportive nature of professors I like most about academics. Professors helps a lot to understand the concept. The most of professor are the members of anti ragging society so that students can share them about any problem that they face in clg.
I like the supportive and friendly nature of seniors towards their juniors especially for freshers Apart from this , there are many clubs that fascinates us . All the seniors helps us in academics as well as extracurricular activitas well as extracur

Dislikes

The one thing that I most is the poor sanitation facilities that provided to us . I don't like the food very much but the food is decent enough good.
Another thing is poor transportation facilities.
Not much bad things about college but one last bad things that I don't like is the animals and lizards in campus because of big forest like area sometimes I faced the monkeys, dogs and even monitor lizards roaming in the hostels.

Placement Experience:

Students eligible to seat in interview for placement from third year (6th semester) Many MNCs and startup companies visit the college oftenly such as Microsoft, Nvidia, Infosys, reliance, tata, Walmart, Wipro, JP Morgan , etc. Almost 1290 offers made this year 82% of students placed this year After getting degree I planned today become a data enginner and continue my career as data scientist.
