As I got this back through josaa counselling so I get this branch but initially I was suspecting about this branch but it is very good branch we get a lot of free time as time of classes is less. As I am studying material science so it teach us about how to make surface material property good so that it can be useable for long periods of time. Improvement can be done by doing more practicality in study. In a semester there is one mid semester exam and one end semester exam which are moderate level.

There are not much Internet company for my branch but for cse and ECE there are many company such as dell,etc which offer stipend upto 70k nearly . And they are offered the role of software engineer by doing dsa.

In final year students are eligible for campus placement that is from seventh semester and the company which visit are L&T , Wipro, Tata steels, Jindal steel works,etc. Precious year highest package was 54 lakh and nearly 80 percentage of student get place from my branch and my plans after getting the degree is I will prepare for government job.

For 1st year student college fees is 86000 of all student except SC and ST. And those having income more than 5 lakh have to pay 86000 and those whose income is between 400k to 100k have to post 45k in first semester and those who have income less than 100k have to pay 16k fees and SC and ST students also pay 16k.

My experience from college is very good in first year but after that I was very disappointed as the team which were there to organise campus festival are now controlled by faculty which is not good because they cancel most of the function and also do not invite good star for performing in college. There are generally two festival in college one is technical festival named nimbus and cultural festival named hillffair.Hillffair is generally held during November and nimbus is held generally during March April. During nimbus they do not bring stars for performing but many technical workshop are held such as stock market, placement talks,and many more technical activity. They also call big teacher which guide us through the path. There are many team of departmental club which make project related to their branch and at last they have to show their project to faculty which give them marks and those having highest marks wins the title of nimbus and they are awarded. During holidays there are various club that perform and there are many clubs which are non performing as team finance which manages all the transaction and also contact the sponsor and team technical which handle backstage. In lecture hall there are smart classroom which make very easy for faculty to teach. Student activity centres us also there where many sort activity such as gym, table tennis, badminton, basketball,etc are present so that they can play on any weather.

Hostel facilities are not very good as there is very bad water supply especially during rainy season water is dusty. We get four seater room upto third year and in final year we get single sweater room with room each student get a table a chair and a bed with almirahs. Fees of hostel is 35k which includes food and accommodation

As I get this college from josaa counselling so I preferred this college as it is located in Himalaya and here is always good weather and also I do not want to join private college and I applied in many colleges such as nit Jaipur, nit Allahabad, nit Kurukshetra which I didn't get and I couldn't get admission as my rank was below their cutoff. In nit Hamirpur you get admission only through josaa counselling through JEE mains exam

As a student of material science and engineering I see mostly faculty are supportive like raj Bahadur sir and Abhijeet Ojha sir and Rita Maurya Maam all are supportive in nature they are always ready to help us and they also teach moral lessons as well as geopolitics which is very important as a human being. In a year there are 2 semesters which comprise four exam in which two are mid semester exam and two are end semester exam and as faculty teach good so nearly very less student failed.and exam are easy.

Nighttime doesn't exist in this college as we are not allowed to move out from hostel after 10 pm and e all the cafeteria shops everything get closed during this time and famous hangout places in college are student park, open air theatre and student activity centre and yeah temple which makes mind fresh.
