CBSE Class 12 Biology Deleted Syllabus 2025-26 is provided in this article. The 30% reduction in the Biology syllabus is maintained by the board for CBSE Class 12 Exams 2026. Students can download the revised syllabus PDF from the official website cbseacademic.nic.in.

The Central Board of Secondary Education has deleted Class 12 Biology syllabus from the NCERT textbook - Units VI, VIII, and X. Some chapters are completely removed from the syllabus like

  • Chapter 1 Reproduction in Organisms
  • Chapter 9 Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production
  • While, in some chapters, only certain topics have been deleted.
  • The syllabus for the practicals has also been reduced.

In total, there are 5 units in CBSE Class 12 Biology Syllabus 2025-26. The theory part has a total weightage of 70 marks and the practical will be held for 30 marks. The exam duration is 3 hours.

A List of Experiments 2. Collect and study soil from at least two different sites and study them for texture, moisture content, pH, and water-holding capacity. Correlate with the kinds of plants found in them.
3. Collect water from two different water bodies around you and study them for pH, clarity and presence of any living organism.
4. Study the presence of suspended particulate matter in the air at two widely different sites.
8. Study the effect of different temperatures and three different pH on the activity of salivary amylase on starch.
B Study/observation of the following (Spotting) 10. Two plants and two animals (models/virtual images) were found in xeric conditions. Comment upon their morphological adaptations.
