The Central Board of Secondary Education has deleted Class 12 Biology syllabus from the NCERT textbook - Units VI, VIII, and X. Some chapters are completely removed from the syllabus like
- Chapter 1 Reproduction in Organisms
- Chapter 9 Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production
- While, in some chapters, only certain topics have been deleted.
- The syllabus for the practicals has also been reduced.
In total, there are 5 units in CBSE Class 12 Biology Syllabus 2025-26. The theory part has a total weightage of 70 marks and the practical will be held for 30 marks. The exam duration is 3 hours.
