Fees and Financial Aid

The per semester fee was 50950, but I received the MCM scholarship, which has two criteria: first, you must be in the top 25% percentile in your branch of JEE rank-wise, and second, your father's annual income should be less than 6 lakhs. The mess fee was 12000, covering three meals a day, and the hostel was free.

Internships Opportunities

Majorly all the big companies come and take people for internships. Even if you are not able to grab other people will help you because college credibility is very high. So if you are serious you will get good intern.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is dissent like And there is 1 faculty over 50 students The faculty to student relationship is good and faculty answer to all of the question and help the students very much Saran Sir is the best faculty I liked because he told the concept in the very right manner and gives us problems to soul he gives good grades in the exam also Also Kavinder Sir. There is not any specific teacher I want to mention that I dislike Because old teachers are good here they thought of our futures and very Experienced Personality In one semester that is 6 month there are two exams that is midsem and and sem And two class test Have to be taken These are not that much easy but you can easily clear if you study One week before the exam

Campus Life

My overall experience with campus life Is not too good but descent. There are two campus of my college that is one is inside the city and another is outside the city that is bhita campus It is under construction and getting to be ready by this year This is this has very good infrastructure and many more other activities also going to be happen in the going future but in this time there are not very much fest or events are going on in my college And the faculties are technology professional faculties and they are very good in teachings Sports ground are small And extracurricular activities are not that much That should be. there are many many clubs you can to join and available there.

Faculty

The institute boasts a about a rebust faculty of over 200 member, many of whom are PhD holders from prestigious intitutions like IITs.The faculty - to - students relationship is generally approachable. Academics are manages through semester exam system that is considered relevant to industry standard. There is no faculty member that I particulary like. But I also cant say who I don't like the. And about exams level is midium. except some subjects(which tough ). and those 20 % students are fails in which exam are to be toughed.

I like most of my college faculty they are very good in teaching The faculty-to-student ratio is generally considered adequate, hovering around 1:20 to 1:25 in most departments. While some general First Year classes can be large the ratio improves significantly in specialized labs and higher semesters Many senior professors hold PhDs and have research experience which students appreciate during project work

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Priyadarshini College of Engineering largely due to its established reputation in Nagpur and the massive 72-acre campus infrastructure, which stands out compared to other colleges in the region. The curriculum is affiliated with RTMNU (Nagpur University), which gave me the assurance of a recognized degree

Yes, talking baout the course structure, your main course will start from 2nd year. In first year, you subjects will include all the basics ofstreams available in college. After the completion of first year, if you have desired CGPA, then you can also change your current branch to your loved branch. Every year has two semesters. Each semester has two term examinations, Mid Term Exams(20 marks) and End term exams(50 marks) plus 30 marks for internal assessments like assignments, class tests and all. Difficulties on subject depends upon whether you are studying it or not but also if the teacher or faculty that is teaching is good or not. That is dependable actually, some may like it some may not. There are 6 grades with credits for passing each subject(Ex 90+, A 80+, B 70+, C 60+, D 50+, P 40+ and F failed <40marks). If someone unfortunately gets and F he/she needs to give supplementary exam for that subject of 70 Marks. Talking about the course schedule it updates on college website and also you can check out Course structire and subjects in each branch in the website. Hope this helps, Thankyou

Course Curriculum Overview

To be honest I willingly didnot chose EE as my course, I triedfor CSE. As i did not scored enough marks to qualify for this, that is why i had to chose EE as during the counselling process, it was the best cpurse available for me but this branch is also good. There are many well qualified faculties available in this college. Honestly speaking yes there are some teachers who explains very well that will make you love the particular subject but there are also some teachers that you cant understand at all. Sometimes what happens is that, we students are not clear if the syllabus of what were taught during the period. The only problem is that before two or 3 days prior to exam, they announce which exam is when, And there is so minimal gap between two exams that you cant prepare or revise much.

THERE IS NO WAY TO ATTACH DOCUMENTS HERE IF YOH NEED SOME DOCUMENTS LIKE FULL FEE STRUCTURE OR PDF RELATED TO ALL SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDED BY COLLEGE KJNDLY MESSAGE ME ON MY WHATSAPP 8839937950 DONT CALL I AM WILLING TO HELP. this is a NIT level college but the fees is not NIT level as it is a quite more expensive than other top institute and I believe the college should lower the fees compared to the facilities given by the college as it is not up to Mark as the fees is taken so coming on the fees tuition fees for one semester is 94000 general candidate and for reserved sc and st category it is half of it.then and there is no relaxation for EWS category in terms of fees there are multiple scholarship programs but they do not cover up a considerable number of students like 1 or 2 student in a class of 120 may get its benifit and the scholarship does not sometimes cover even half of the yearly fee .full fee waiver is given to the students below poverty line. Some students also get scholarship if they top there class and for first year rank openers of their respective branches also get scholarship ship , only 2 percent of ews category student get 50 percent fee waiver now

There are various festivals in my college the main festival is the pecfest which is our flagship level festival it is held in November and most of the big events happen in this festival this festival is sponsored by our college Indian army videos search small events happening in our college there is a variety of books and journal in our library and is available to students through their ID cards aur classes are good with smart boards and ACS but faculties prefer to teach on blackboard rather than on slides or PPTs and which I think it is great throughout the campus there are no camera in classrooms to be specific the campus has almost all types of sports infrastructure leg swimming pool badminton court volleyball court football grounds cricket grounds and what not the college also has a gymnasium There are not one but many social groups or gloves in our college like NCC SCC and NSS there are many other cultural clubs like for dance and drama also there are technical society's which deals with take related stuff also there is devotional and meditative societies in our college so there is versatility of groups you can choose for your college life

It's basically around 2.5lac in 1 year 2.6 in 2nd year 2.8 in 3rd year 3 in 4th year Yes their is increment in fees structure every year as it is a state funded institute but get less fund from state government of delhi , but 11 12 lakh fees is ok in btech as clg provided tag and many opportunities also in IIT's their is 8 to 10 lac fees structure though they get so high funds. DTU also provided many scholarship based on category and academics

Faculty

Faculty to Student Ratio is good 1 faculty for 55 to 60 students which is normal as class size is big also projectors and mic are installed in classrooms In First sem my Civil Faculty is also they clear all concepts and also conduct regular tests so our topic get crystal clear Basically I am not saying faculty is bad but one of my Computer Science faculty is really very careless she always cancel classes

Ques. Which has better placements, IIT (BHU) Electrical or IIT (BHU) Electronics??

● Top Answer By Vinima Bhola on 23 Jun 25

Ans. Electrical Engineering at IIT (BHU) has a well-documented and strong placement record, with high placement rates (81–86%) and top packages reaching up to ?1.68 crore per annum (in B.Tech overall, with Electrical also benefitting from high offers). The Max CTC for Electronics Engineering is ?50 LPA for 2024–2025, which is less than the highest mentioned for Electrical. However, placement details for Electronics Engineering are less commonly recorded. This might, however, represent a single offer or a particular position rather than the branch's highest or average overall. Both branches are highly sought after and have strong industry connections, but Electrical Engineering currently has more publicly available and impressive placement statistics.Read more

Ques. Which should be preffered IIT bhu electrical or BITS pilani EEE?

● Top Answer By Prena Kukreti on 31 Jul 24

Ans. IIT BHU and BITS Pilani are two highly reputed institutions for engineering studies in India. IIT BHU would be a better option over BITS Pilani because of these reasons: Brand Value: IIT BHU carries the prestigious “IIT'' tag. Thus, it has a greater brand value than BITS Pilani. This becomes important when applying to foreign universities for your higher studies.  Fees: As a government institution, the fees of IIT BHU is much more affordable as compared to BITS Pilani. Thus, IIT BHU has a higher ROI (Return on Investment) because it offers even better placements than BITS Pilani.    Here are the important comparisons between IIT BHU and BITS Pilani:   Particulars IIT BHU Electrical BITS PILANI EEE Establishment Year 1919 1926 NIRF Ranking: Engineering 15 25 Tuition Fee *INR 1 lakh per semester INR 2.60 lakhs per semester Highest package (2023) INR 1.15 CPA INR 60.75 LPA (overall) Average package (2023) INR 30.25 LPA INR 30.37 LPA (overall) CTC Range (2023) - INR 9 - 18 LPA ( for Core branches)   [In 2024, B.Tech EEE students received top offers in the range of INR 15-25 LPA] Recruiters on Campus Accenture, Accolite, Adani, Aditya Birla, Adobe, etc. Accenture Strategy and Consulting, Alphagrep, Coinswitch, Fischer Jordan, etc.  *(for SC/ST/PwD students, and others with family income <= 1 LPA, the tuition fee is 0. The tuition is exempted by 2/3rd for students with family income <=5 lakh and > 1 lakh). Because of all the reasons listed above, I would suggest you opt for Electrical at IIT BHU over EEE at BITS Pilani.Read more

Ques. Which will be good, IIT BHU Electrical or IIT Hyderabad Electrical?

● Top Answer By Danish Zehen on 31 Jul 24

Ans. I would suggest you choose Electrical Engineering at IIT BHU. Here are a few reasons why IIT BHU is a better choice for Electrical Engineering than IIT Hyderabad: The electrical engineering department of IIT BHU was established in 1949, and it is one of the oldest in India. On the other hand, IIT Hyderabad was established in 2008. This gives the electrical engineering department of IIT BHU a much better industry reputation and a stronger alumni network.  IIT BHU has an extensive network of graduates in key positions across various industries.  Some renowned alumni of the Electrical Department of IIT BHU are:   Sh. Jay Chaudhry (B.Tech. Electrical, 1980)-CEO and Founder, ZScaler, USA). Dr. Indu Bhushan (B.Tech. Electrical, 1981)- Ex-CEO, National Health Authority and Ayushman Bharat, Govt. of India. Sh. Nikesh Arora (B.Tech. Electrical, 1989)- CEO, Palo Alto Networks, USA. The Electrical department of our college has some highly experience faculty members like-  Prof. R. K. Ques. Which is better, CSE at ISM or Electrical at IIT Bhu?

● Top Answer By Divya on 31 Jul 24

Ans. I am a student of Electrical Engineering at IIT BHU. Even though CSE is the most popular branch in today’s job market, I would recommend you go with the second option. Here are the reasons that make IIT BHU a better choice than IIT(ISM) Dhanbad: IIT BHU was established in 1919, while IIT Dhanbad was established in 1926. This gives IIT BHU an edge in terms of experience and legacy.  IIT BHU offers a wider range of engineering disciplines. Even IIT Dhanbad does so, but it is mainly known for its contribution in the field of mining and earth sciences. IIT BHU ranks comparatively better in various national rankings. IIT BHU has a large and diverse alumni base across various industries. Here are some reputed alumni from our institute- Sh. Ram Charan ((B.Tech. Mechanical, 1959)- A renowned business consultant, author and speaker. Sh. Jay Chaudhry ((B.Tech. Electrical, 1980)- CEO and Founder, ZScaler, USA). Dr. Indu Bhushan (B.Tech. Electrical, 1981)- Ex-CEO, National Health Authority and Ayushman Bharat, Govt. of India. Sh. Nikesh Arora (B.Tech. Electrical, 1989)- CEO, Palo Alto Networks, USA. Additionally, IIT BHU offers a wide range of research opportunities and collaborations to its students. In terms of placements as well, IIT BHU is better than IIT Dhanbad. Here is a comparison between IIT BHU Electrical and IIT Dhanbad CSE: Particulars IIT BHU Electrical IIT DHANBAD CSE NIRF Ranking: Engineering 15 17 Highest package (2023) INR 1.15 CPA INR 56 LPA Average package (2023) INR 30.25 LPA INR 27.29 LPA Recruiters on Campus Accenture, Accolite, Adani, Aditya Birla, Adobe, etc.  Axis Bank, Oracle, American Express, IBM, etc.  Because of all these reasons, I would recommend you choose IIT BHU Electrical over IIT Dhanbad CSE.Read more

Ques. Which is better IIT Indore mechanical or Bhubaneswar ECE?

● Top Answer By Ravish kumar on 23 Jul 24

Ans. IIT Indore and IIT Bhubaneswar were both established almost at the same time, and both hold an equally good reputation. However, the ECE branch offers better opportunities as compared to the Mechanical branch.  Here is a comparison between IIT Indore Mechanical and IIT Bhubaneswar ECE: INSTITUTE IIT BHUBANESWAR (ECE) IIT INDORE (MECHANICAL) Establishment Year 2008 2009 Placement % (2023) 91% 88.33% Highest Package (2023) INR 44.7 LPA INR 45 LPA Average Package (2023) INR 22.9 LPA INR 22.17 LPA Median Package (2023) INR 18 LPA INR 18.12 LPA The faculty at both these institutions are equally outstanding. However, Electronics courses fall in the middle of core and software. This is why Electronics students get jobs quite easily in the software domain as well.  This makes the job prospects of ECE students better than their Mechanical counterparts. Thus, I would recommend you choose ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar over Mechanical at IIT Indore. Read more

Ques. How do you compare ECE in NITK and IIT Bhubaneswar?

● Top Answer By Danish Malik on 23 Jul 24

Ans. NIT Surathkal was established in 1960, and its ECE program started in 1979. IIT Bhubaneswar was established in 2008, and its ECE branch started in 2016. Even though IIT Bhubaneswar is very new compared to NIT Surathkal, it in no way lags behind in terms of clubs, societies, academics and placements for its ECE students.  Here is a comparison between these institutions for your reference: INSTITUTE NIT Surathkal  B.Tech ECE IIT Bhubaneswar B.Tech ECE Placement % 93% 90.91% Highest CTC INR 54.75 LPA  INR 44.62 LPA Average CTC INR 18.26 LPA INR 22.85 LPA Lowest CTC INR 4.50 LPA INR 9.65 LPA Clubs and Societies Systems & Security group, Intelligence Group Web and Design Society, Nakshatra Fests Incident Alma Fiesta Fee-Structure B.Tech ECE (Total)  INR 5.74 Lakh INR 10.40 Lakh Some of the features of IIT Bhubaneswar which makes it more compatible as compared to NIT Surathkal are as follows: Students & Faculty: Students who join this college are some of the elite students in the country. Since ECE branch isn't available in all of the IITs, this is the best option for the ECE enthusiasts. The faculty of the ECE department is top notch.  Placements: The placement of students in this branch is really good. The average placement of this branch is around 23 LPA. Workload: ECE branch has the most hectic schedule among all other branches. The third semester is the most hectic. But if you choose this branch out of your own interest, you’ll get past all the difficulties. Reputation: This college is one of the highly reputed colleges in the country. Graduates of IIT Bhubaneswar are currently working for successful companies around the globe.  College Life: The campus life is vibrant. Tech and Cultural Fests are held annually. Celebs like Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher, Shreya Ghoshal have performed in the cultural fest of our college in the past, along with some popular bands and DJs.  The Average and Lowest Package for IIT Bhubaneswar’s B.Tech ECE are much better than NITK. Added to better placements is the fact that IIT Bhubaneswar carries the prestigious ‘IIT’ tag and modern infrastructure.  Based on all these reasons, I would suggest you opt for B.Tech ECE at IIT Bhubaneswar. Read more

Ques. Which is a better choice, IIT Mandi Mechanical, IIT Dhanbad Mechanical, or a new IIT like IIT Tirupati Electrical?

● Top Answer By Animesh on 20 Jul 24

Ans. I am a third-year student at IIT Dhanbad. I’ll suggest you go for Mechanical at IIT Dhanbad.  Although the Placements in 2024 are still ongoing, the average package of the 2023 mechanical branch stands at INR 14.74 LPA, while the placement percentage is 83.52%. Some of the top companies that have given placements this year at IIT Dhanbad are- Accenture, Ericsson, Flipkart, Siemens, and Wiley Edge. Here are some details on IIT Dhanbad Mechanical, IIT Mandi Mechanical, and IIT Tirupati Electrical- Parameters IIT Dhanbad Mechanical IIT Mandi Mechanical IIT Tirupati Electrical  NIRF 2023 Engineering Ranking #17 #33 #59 QS World University Ranking #73 351-400 - Year of Establishment 1926 2009 2015 Placement Percentage 2023 83.52% 94.09%  63.98%  Average  Package 2023 INR 14.74 LPA INR 25.23 LPA  INR 17.58 LPA  Highest Package 2023 INR 52 LPA INR 60 LPA INR 46 LPA  Median  Package 2023 - INR 22 LPA  - Top Recruiters Accenture, Ericsson, Flipkart, Siemens, Wiley Edge, etc.  Aakash, Cisco, Jaguar, TCS, Zomato, etc.  Microsoft, Samsung, Toshiba, Cognizant, Amazon, etc.  As you can see from the above table, IIT Dhanbad holds a much higher rank than the other two IITs. Its placement statistics are also quite good.  I’d suggest you take admission into an older college like IIT Dhanbad as it offers stronger industry connections. Additionally, you’ll experience a stronger and more vibrant alumni network.  Thus, I would recommend IIT Dhanbad Mechanical over IIT Mandi Mechanical and IIT Tirupati Electrical. Read more
