BTech Electrical Engineering Admission in NITs takes place through JEE Main. Students with more than 16000 in JEE Main should get admitted to Top NITs comfortably. JoSAA Counselling will determine the NIT where the student will get to study BTech Electrical Engineering. 

JoSAA releases a list of 8 cut-off rounds for BTech Electrical engineering students. There are 2 gender categories and 11 caste categories based on which JoSAA releases the cut-offs. The category-wise JEE Main 2024 cutoff is 93.2362181 for General, 79.6757881 for OBC, 81.3266412 for EWS, 60.0923182 for SC, 46.6975840 for ST and 0.0018700 for PwD categories.

The top NITs in India that provide BTech Electrical Engineering are NIT Allahabad, NIT Jaipur and NIT Durgapur. The average course fees for BTech Electrical Engineering range between INR 1,78,000 - INR 2,50,000. Out of 31 NITs in India, 18 NITs provide BTech Electrical Engineering.

BTech Electrical NIT Cut Off 2024

JoSAA has released the cutoff of NIT for B.Tech Electrical Engineering for round 1, including opening and closing ranks for all categories. The authorities are currently conducting counselling after the JEE Main 2024 result declaration. After each counselling round, the NIT will release the cutoff for B.Tech Electrical Engineering and other courses.

I’ll suggest you go for Mechanical at IIT Dhanbad.  Although the Placements in 2024 are still ongoing, the average package of the 2023 mechanical branch stands at INR 14.74 LPA, while the placement percentage is 83.52%. Some of the top companies that have given placements this year at IIT Dhanbad are- Accenture, Ericsson, Flipkart, Siemens, and Wiley Edge.
