BTech Electrical Engineering is available in 21 IITs in India. The admission for BTech Electrical in IITs takes place through JoSAA Counseling. Selected students who have passed JEE Main and have secured good enough marks to be in the top 2,50,000 students. The JEE Main 2024 cutoff is 93.2362181 for General, 79.6757881 for OBC, 81.3266412 for EWS, 60.0923182 for SC, 46.6975840 for ST and 0.0018700 for PwD categories.

The minimum qualifying marks for JEE Advanced 2024 are 35% for CRL, 31.5% for OBC-NCL/ EWS, and 17.5% for SC/ ST/ PwD. For general candidates, the minimum rank must be less than 140 to secure the top IIT for BTech Electrical Engineering. The maximum Opening Rank in Round 1 can be 10,000 to secure a seat for BTech Electrical in IITs in India.

The Max CTC for Electronics Engineering is ?50 LPA for 2024–2025, which is less than the highest mentioned for Electrical. However, placement details for Electronics Engineering are less commonly recorded. This might, however, represent a single offer or a particular position rather than the branch's highest or average overall. Here are a few reasons why IIT BHU is a better choice for Electrical Engineering than IIT Hyderabad: The electrical engineering department of IIT BHU was established in 1949, and it is one of the oldest in India. On the other hand, IIT Hyderabad was established in 2008. This gives the electrical engineering department of IIT BHU a much better industry reputation and a stronger alumni network.  IIT BHU has an extensive network of graduates in key positions across various industries.  Some renowned alumni of the Electrical Department of IIT BHU are:   Sh. Ans. IIT Indore and IIT Bhubaneswar were both established almost at the same time, and both hold an equally good reputation. However, the ECE branch offers better opportunities as compared to the Mechanical branch.  Here is a comparison between IIT Indore Mechanical and IIT Bhubaneswar ECE: INSTITUTE IIT BHUBANESWAR (ECE) IIT INDORE (MECHANICAL) Establishment Year 2008 2009 Placement % (2023) 91% 88.33% Highest Package (2023) INR 44.7 LPA INR 45 LPA Average Package (2023) INR 22.9 LPA INR 22.17 LPA Median Package (2023) INR 18 LPA INR 18.12 LPA The faculty at both these institutions are equally outstanding. I’ll suggest you go for Mechanical at IIT Dhanbad.  Although the Placements in 2024 are still ongoing, the average package of the 2023 mechanical branch stands at INR 14.74 LPA, while the placement percentage is 83.52%. Some of the top companies that have given placements this year at IIT Dhanbad are- Accenture, Ericsson, Flipkart, Siemens, and Wiley Edge. Ans. Not many companies visit for our branch and only 2 or 3 companies come only 20 to 30 students were placed and those too in other branch companies.there was no entrepreneurs culture and only students sit for placementRead more

Ans. Course curriculum is almot all out dated and that is poels apart from what is currently used in industry.academics is also average as very less people were there to guide you faculties were no so experienced although they were well qualified.Read more
