- Non- Conventional Energy Sources- Non-conventional sources are also referred to as renewable energy sources. Examples of unconventional sources of energy are solar energy, bioenergy, tidal energy , and wind energy.
- Switch Gear & Protection-. In an electric power system the switchgear is made up of electrical disconnect switches circuit breakers, or fuses that are utilized to regulate, safeguard the electrical components. Switchgears are used to shut off equipment in order to allow work to be completed and also to eliminate downstream faults.

- Acquisition System: Data acquisition systems (or DAS or DAQ) transform physical phenomena into digital forms, which are then used to further store and analyze. The majority of the time sensors' signals (sometimes handled by sensors conditioners) are sampled, transformed into digital and then stored on a computer or a separate device.
- Display Devices and Recorders: Display devices are output devices used to present information in either visual or tactile forms.
