Q: How is Electronics Engineering at IIT-BHU in terms of course structure, faculty and placements?

My friend is a recent graduate of Electronics and communication engineering from IIT(BHU) Varanasi. Here are a few highlights pertaining to the course based on his review of the same. Course structure: The curriculum is regularly updated to meet the industry standard and relevancy. The course structure is designed in such a way that most course-related subjects are introduced in the first year itself. Additionally, there are some CSE subjects to expand the job opportunities for the students. Faculty: Sadly, the faculty here is very lacking. Some even lack the most basic knowledge and just teach the students in their bookish language. The pedagogy adopted is old school bringing down the standard of education here. A few teachers recently joined and brought about slight changes in the pedagogy and the citation is expected to get better. Placements: Based on the data I got from my friend, the BTech ECE average package was INR 27.73 LPA. Usually, IIT BHU ECE average package is in the range of 20-22 LPA. Core companies like Nvidia and Texas Instruments hired many but top companies like Microsoft have no or fewer openings for CSE students. IIT BHU is a good college if you are willing to do self-study and not depend on the faculty.

At the IIT BHU in Varansi the total academic cost for a four year b.tech degree is approx. 8.7 lakhs for student in genral category. This fee cover tution, hostel accommodation, and other instituitional charges, but students need to pay for their food separately which usually around 17000 each sem. student from SC,ST or PwD categories as well as from genral OBC categories whose family income <100000 don't have to pay any tution fee. Student with a family income betw 1 to 5 lakhs receive a 2/3 discount on their tution fee . IIT BHu provide additional support through scholarship. the main is MCM merit cum means scholarship which help students who perform wll academically and come from EWS background. Students Can also apply for Government and NSP Scholarship

I am an obc candidate and my father income is less than 5 lakhs so for every semester I have paid 39865 for college and approx 15000 for mess per semester . Fees is not increasing every year . Our college also provide scholarship like up scholarship and many other for sc , st candidates.My friend is from general background his tution fees for every semester is 1 lakhs and his mess fees is 15k like me. Sc ,st candidates have to pay 6k as tution fees for every semester and 15 k as mess fees.

For B.Tech students, The semester wise academic fees is around 1,06,350/- and that of hostel is 15000/- for the student whose annual income is above 5lacs . For income > 1,00,000/- and <5,00,000/- academic fees is 54,033/- and for less than 1lacs annual income it is 20,700/-. Also there are some extra benefits for sc/st/ pd candidates.

The year wise fees for general category is 1,05,950 which is the tuition fee for one semester. So yearly tuition fees is 2,00,000. Hostel fees is 15,000 per semester. The yearly cost is 2,30,000 The tuition fee breakdown is as follows: Admission fee 200 Caution fee 9000 which is refundable And the remaining tuition fee is basically student welfare , identity card etc. For Sc st and pwd , studentky are completely exempt from tuition fees. And for families with incomes below 1 lakh anually the tuition fee is waived Even those earning between 1 lakh and 5 lakh 2/3rd of the tuition fee is waived. Now abput scholarship Merit cum means scholarships covsrs tuition fee for the top 25% of the students of merit for families whose anual income is below 6,00,000 And the is kotak kanya for girls etc.

I am an EWS category so i will be paying 66666 rupees that is one -third of tution fees. Caution money is 9000 which includes Institute, library and hostel caution money. One time payment at admission is 5750 which includes admission fee, student welfare fund and placement fee. Many Scolarships are provided to the students whose family income is less than 5lpa and has maintained a good required cpi during the semester. A general candidate has to pay 2 lakhs per year as tution fees and rest the same as me

IIT BHU, ranks 30 in NIRF. Best facilities are provided here. Since it is an IIT ,it is everyone's dream college. Iam pursuing Civil IDD here. Well I belong to obc and i pay 1,10,000 rs per year. And I feel that is affordable. But for those annual income is less than 1 lakh per annum, they have to pay 1/3rd of the fees. For SC and ST people, there is no academic fee . But they have to pay mess and hostel fee. This college has great infrastructure. Good placements. I refer this college to everyone.

How is Electronics Engineering at IIT-BHU in terms of course structure, faculty and placements?

My friend is a recent graduate of Electronics and communication engineering from IIT(BHU) Varanasi. Here are a few highlights pertaining to the course based on his review of the same.

Course structure: The curriculum is regularly updated to meet the industry standard and relevancy. The course structure is designed in such a way that most course-related subjects are introduced in the first year itself. Additionally, there are some CSE subjects to expand the job opportunities for the students.
Faculty: Sadly, the faculty here is very lacking. Some even lack the most basic knowledge and just teach the students in their bookish language. The pedagogy adopted is old school bringing down the standard of education here. A few teachers recently joined and brought about slight changes in the pedagogy and the citation is expected to get better.
Placements: Based on the data I got from my friend, the BTech ECE average package was INR 27.73 LPA. Usually, IIT BHU ECE average package is in the range of 20-22 LPA. Core companies like Nvidia and Texas Instruments hired many but top companies like Microsoft have no or fewer openings for CSE students.

IIT BHU is a good college if you are willing to do self-study and not depend on the faculty.

How is electronics course at IIT BHU?

The CGC Landran CSE placements are pretty good with almost 100% placement percentage. However, the size of the packages depends on individual performance and is subject to vary from person to person. What are the placement details of industrial engineering and management courses at IIT BHU?

The placement data and statistics are not released in public, but few details get somehow leaked by the students in the placement cell.

IIT BHU kicked off its annual placement for 2019, with four international job offers and the highest salary package of INR 1.53 crore per annum. Most of these offers ranged from INR 10 LPA to INR 58.21 LPA. Some of the top recruiters that visited were Google, Uber , Microsoft, Cisco, Goldman Sachs.

Around 1063 students from BTech registered for the placements and out of which 773 students got placements. As per the trends, the department of computer science, electrical engineering, department of Mathematical sciences and electronics engineering maintained a high degree of placements.

Though the placement offering in each branch is growing every year, the highest number of placements were from Mechanical and industrial engineering departments.

The major recruiters of IIT BHU include Maruti, EXL, Wipro, Tata Steel, Oracle, Morgan Stanley, etc. The average package offered was 8.19 lakhs with 109 students placed which is the highest among other streams.

Apart from these firms, students of IIT BHU also grab opportunities for internships in many international universities. The top-notch international universities where students of IIT BHU acquired internships offered were University of Tokyo, University of London, University of New South Wales, Harvard University.

The summer internship program starts at the beginning of May and the duration is around 8 weeks in companies like Samsung, Microsoft, Tata Steel and Bajaj. As an outcome of the continuous efforts by the institute, students have been pursuing internships and projects at various national and international academic institutions and companies.

So overall, having great results in the academics, IIT BHU stands no apart from the other IITs in terms of placements and summer internships offered to the students. Lastly it is a great opportunity and learning experience for students to get admitted at IIT BHU for industrial engineering.

Does BHU offer only B.Pharm (Ayurveda), or does it also offer a regular B.Pharm course?

Actually, BHU also provides a regular B.Pharm course and a B.Pharm with a specialization in Ayurveda.

If you are interested in contemporary pharmacy, BHU also has a 4-year regular B.Pharm course in allopathic pharmacology, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, etc. Admission is generally through NEET or other entrance exams.

However, BHU also provides a special B.Pharm (Ayurveda) course that deals with Ayurvedic medicines, herbal preparations, and the principles of traditional pharmacology. The process of admission to this course is carried out through a separate entrance examination.

Briefly speaking, BHU has two courses: one in contemporary pharmacy and the other in Ayurvedic pharmacy. You can choose either one of them based on your interest and background.

Yes, you can get admission to M. Pharm in ecology through the GPAT entrance examination. The forms will be out in March 2023. The ideal cutoff of GPAT is 148 for the general category student.
