What is better, IIT BHU civil or chemical ?

The answer to this question depends on what you aim for after 4 or 5 years of your college degree. If you just want a placement and not particularly interested in a branch then you could go for any of those two branches as placement statistics are good for both in IIT BHU. There are enough opportunities in the non-core sector which generally comprise IT, developer, analytics, product management, business analyst, etc. These sectors don't look for a specific branch and rather require good communication and analytical skills. If you are someone who finds chemical processing and chemistry interesting, then go for chemical engineering. If you are the one who gets amazed by the interesting and defying structures, civil engineering should be your choice. According to 2019 placement statistics, 77 students from Civil Engineering and 104 students from Chemical Engineering got placed from IIT BHU. Opting for civil engineering would open doors to exams such as IES, UPSC, GATE, and other state engineering exams. There are ample opportunities for civil engineering majors. And if you choose chemical engineering, you can go for higher studies or work for PSUs. So, both these branches at IIT BHU would provide enough opportunities to grow and explore and the end decision should be based on your interest.

How is the civil engineering department at IIT BHU?

Civil engineering is one of the oldest branches at IIT BHU and largest in the country. Recently the architecture department also was inaugurated at IIT BHU which is headed by one of the professors of the Civil Engineering Department. This department has well-funded labs which are equipped with modern instruments. Professors of this department are well qualified and most of them are from IITs. The structural engineering department is quite a robust one and some of the professors have worked on projects as big as the Hirakud dam construction. The department has developed close links with international and national organizations which helps during placement times. Placement statistics are also promising, here at IIT BHU and some of the offers are comparable to the other branches such as CSE and ECE. This department has taken up various research programs by CSIR, UGC, SAP, HUDCO, and many more. They also cooperated with industries to work on projects given by Govt., Semi-Govt., and private organization. This branch would provide you with enough opportunities involving real-time problems in the city and around the campus. Also due to increasing urbanization, civil engineering has a high scope. It is a perfect branch if you wish to have a government job and aspire for IAS, IES, and UPSC. On top of that civil engineering could be regarded as one of the easiest amongst core branches. Overall, the civil engineering department at IIT BHU is worth joining and has a quite appreciable image as opposed to the perception of this branch elsewhere.

IIT BHU, ranks 30 in NIRF. Best facilities are provided here. Since it is an IIT ,it is everyone's dream college. Iam pursuing Civil IDD here. Well I belong to obc and i pay 1,10,000 rs per year. And I feel that is affordable. But for those annual income is less than 1 lakh per annum, they have to pay 1/3rd of the fees. For SC and ST people, there is no academic fee . But they have to pay mess and hostel fee. This college has great infrastructure. Good placements. I refer this college to everyone.

• Per semester fee is 106000 ,if family income is more than 5 lpa. • per semester fee is 39683 ,if family income is less than 5 lpa and greater than 1lpa. • Per semester fee is 6350 , if family income is less than 1 lpa. For sc and st caste per semester fee is 6050 irrespective of family income. • Mess charge per semester is 15000 • There are many scholarships for OBC sc and st candidates and also for girls there are scholarships.

All about IIT BHU

The tution fee is approximately 2 lakh per year for a general category and for obc students the tution fee is roughly the same but for SC and ST students there is exemption from the tution fee. This tution fee includes all the fees from labs, academic, development and all. There is additional hostel and mess fee which roughly adds up to 50 thousand per year which is to be paid by all the students regard less of thier category. There are several scholarship or financial aid opportunity provided by the institute though the mails by different organizations.Awarded to a limited number of students from economically weaker sections, covering up to 67% of the tuition fee. Eligibility is based on academic performance and family income. The fee have gradually increased over the past few years due to thee simple phenomenon of inflation.

The scholarships are available through government and many state policies about which the students are being informed via mails or institute website. For a Btech student total fees including each and everything (hostel , mess , transport , academics , etc ) are about 10 lac maximum . Students are provided Bank education loan at a very low rate of interest in the campus only

The real IIT BHU

Tution fee is 20000 according to ur category it's assigned and they don't change it it's a fixed rate. Complete cost for a year will be 1 lakh rupees including tution fees hostel fees mess fees etc. scholarship is available for very few people . Campus employees most of the final year students it's very good so they give them a good job, responsibility and stipends are awarded

The tution fees doesn't hike so much regularly in fact it is fixed to 1,06,500 per year for general. The complete coat of education would range from 10 to 12 pakka for four years. This includes all the costs. Different types of scholarshipa are available but by the state and central governments.

The total fee for a year i.e for two semesters is around 2.5 lakhs which consists of mess fee and tuition fee.Out of which tuition fee is around 2.05 lakh per year.There is waiver for sc/st category students and for other students based on their income ranges.it varies from full waiver of tuition fee to 66% waiver.
