IHE provides admission to only one PG course i.e. M.Sc in two different specializations i.e. Food and Nutrition as well as Fabric Apparel and Designing. The admission to these courses is offered based on the performance of candidates in the CUET PG. Step 1: Register for the Entrance Examination
Institute of Home Economics admissions to all UG & PG courses are based on scores obtained in the entrance examination. To apply for admission, candidates must register for the following entrance examinations:

Step 3: Registration on DU CSAS Portal and Filling of Courses and College Preferences
Candidates who qualify in the entrance examination must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal of Delhi University for the Institute of Home Economics seat allotment. Once the registration is done, candidates will be asked to fill in their college and course preferences. Step 4: Seat Allocation
The seat allocation for all courses will be done in multiple rounds. Delhi University is going to release the merit lists in two categories: Common Merit List and Category 2 Merit List (for PG courses only). The Common Merit List (CML) is open to all candidates. However, for the Category 2 Merit List (C2ML), only students who have graduated from Delhi University will be considered for admission to PG programs. The Highest Possible Preference will be provisionally allocated to a candidate who meets the Institute of Home Economics admission criteria such as:
- Combination of selected college and course
- Rank secured in the entrance exam
- Availability of seats
- Category of candidates
Step 5: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission
Upon declaration of merit list, candidates can check the list by logging in to their CSAS dashboard for acceptance of the allocated seat, if offered. Once a seat has been allocated to the Institute of Home Economics in a particular round, the candidate must 'Accept' the allocated seat before the last date/time in a given time period.
- Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the college administration will approve the seat allotment by checking the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate.
- Upon approval of the seat allotment by the college, candidates will have to pay the Institute of Home Economics admission fee to confirm their seat.
