Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is designed very uniquely to suit and the requirements of the current global trends and also the job market. The labwork and the guiding principles of the course focuses majorly on learning rather than just filling notebooks. The area of improvements are not much but still the lab culture is very engaging, some of the time could also be givem to real exposure workshops or speaker sessions to provide the insights of the field to the students.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships offer are offered to the students by various companies like zomato, swiggy, zepto, blinkit, GoGreens and many more at various positions like lab executive, research interns, food analyst, lab assisstants, junior researchers, lab analyzers and various other postions and projects are availiable to the students of the college

Placement Experience

4

The placements of the college are very decent and upto the standards of the University of Delhi and around 30% gets placements every year. The students become eligible for the placements from the final year itself. the highest package was around 17 LPA while the average was around 5 LPA by Blusmart, zomato, swiggy, blinkit, zepto, petpooja, magicpin and any more.

Fees and Financial Aid

The detailed fee structure is divided over the tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, maintenance fees, lab fees which make the total to rupees 44935 yearly. While the total fees for second year and third year is rupees 29220 yearly. The fees has seen a slight increase over the time, but still its affordable as per the facilites provided. Several scholarships by University of Delhi and also by the colleges itself.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is very very engaging as a girls college, the only girls crowd feels very amiable and comfortable to be with. The annual fests and the technical fests are typically held in moths of february and march every year. The range and accessibility of the books of various domains and high level of knowledge it has makes the library more special here. The sports and extracurricular activities are often encouraged by the teachers and there's always an active participation from the students side.

Admission

It was not like that I wasn't getting admission in other colleges except this one but the chice that I made was majorly due to the career planning that I had done in the early stages. I chose this college because of the advanced facilities it provide and also it is easier to commute for me to the college and back to my home and vice versa. The admission process involves clearing the 12th boards, then the CUET with decent marks, the cutoff is not much high for this college, but due to fewer courses, the competition feels tougher.

Faculty

4

The faculty members here have done much research in their interest fields but still the way they are friendly to students is never like they want to show off their work but instead of that they guide, mentor and shape us to the person that we want to become in our further life. Neha maam, prempal sir are the besst faculties if the whole college. The exams are divided into various internal assessments , continous assesesments, mid semester exams and end semester exams and all are not much difficult to clear as the course is very relveant to the current job market and also of the interest of the student.

Night Life

3

The Institute of Home Economics is located near the Hauz Khas which is the hub to many Cafeterias, various restoraunts and many peaceful parks around here. The Hauz khas area is known for its extravagant lifestyle and riches, so it also attracts a major crowd from all over the Delhi itself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good
