Remarks

When I decided to pursue BSc Physics Honours, I started looking for a good college. I loved Delhi, and I wanted to stay in Delhi for my graduation so naturally, I applied for Delhi University. The application process is simple, first, you need to register yourself on the DU admission portal and upload all the required documents and save the registration confirmation letter, the application process started in May 2019. Then DU releases cutoffs of different courses of all colleges and if you score more than the required cutoff then you are eligible for admission, just get your documents verified in college before the last date. I chose KMC because of its location, reputation, and infrastructure. KMC is located in North Campus, which is one of the best places to enjoy your college life. I think the bad aspects of KMC are the slow administration and not having a girl's hostel. Incidentally, I used collegedunia while selecting my college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I always had a keen interest in physics and wanted to become a physics teacher and that's why I chose this course. Faculty to student ratio is good. Almost all of our faculty members were PhDs. There were some ad-hoc teachers who were still doing their PhD while being faculty. The Physics Department of KMC is filled with gems like Usha Kulshrestha Mam, OP Sharma sir, Rakesh Pandey sir, and many other good professors. All our professors were very humble and nice to students. But there were also very few egoistic professors. But most of our professors were very helpful to students. It wasn't very difficult to pass exams. All you need to do is practice previous year's papers. Almost all the students got passed.

Internships Opportunities

4

There were many opportunities for internships for students. Some of them are very interesting and good. Many students do internships in various govt companies. I don't know about the stipend given to these students.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a government college KMC has very affordable fees. The fees for physics honors were about 14000 per year. The college provides fee concessions to students who come from poor backgrounds. You need to fill a form and give an interview to a college committee. Then the college committee decides the scholarship on the basis of the interview of the candidate. I don't know much about jobs.

Campus Life

4.5

The annual fest of KMC is 'Renessaince' which is usually conducted in March. The 'Newtonian' tech fest which is organized by the physics department is conducted in Feb. The name of our college library is 'Dr. N S Pradhan memorial library'. You can find many books in the library, especially if you are from the Arts stream. The sports complex of KMC has many indoor games like table tennis, chess and outdoor games like football, cricket, and volleyball. The college has a sports complex, basketball court, football ground, volleyball ground, and nets for cricket practice. The college organizes an annual sports fest in December. There are many societies in college like debating society, music society, drama society, etc. I was a part of the debating society, learned a lot there. Students can join any society they want and you also make great friends in societies.

The students become eligible for placements after second year or even third year. Companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, McKinsey, etc visited our college for placements and recieved over 200 placement offers in the latest year 2025. Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
