The faculty was amazing. I chose this course because I have a good interest in literature. Faculty is around 10 teachers for English Hons only and students are around 60 in a class. All professors are highly qualified most of them have completed their PHD as well teaching method is amazing. After every 4 months, we have our semester exams and they are average according to your preparation.
Amazing. The faculty is really great, they're accomodating and interesting. Also very kind. Great exposure, the syllabus is great too, would be better if the college had been autonomous but that's alright.
The fee structure is pretty feasible, considering its a government college. My program fee was 18k per year. DU has the lowest fee of all other unis in Delhi. Mode of payment is online and offline as well. No additional fee or charges required. The fee breakdown is pretty transparent. No problem there.
The English Department Annual fee was about Rs 15260. And it is to be done online through Delhi University Portal. No additional charges are to be paid. Only annual course fee is to be paid which may vary from year to year and besides that, if admission is cancelled one has to pay 500 Rs cancellation fee.
English Hons at LSR is a very versatile course that allows students to think on thier own and look that the world with a critical lens. The discussions that the faculty supports are open ended and allow for all points of view.
So the faculty at LSR is great, very knowledgable of course, and extremely sweet and understanding as well. In my course, most of the faculty members are LSR alumni only and they have a deeper understanding with us and our conditions. The syllabus change was unexpected and extremely confusing since we were first year students and didn’t know what was happening. It also came really late in the year, and we didn’t really know what to prepare and how to prepare.
It is feasible as it isa government college. All the students have access to freeships and scholarships that can be availed basis their marks. However it is very selective and unique. The hostel and college is usually affordable for all the students
The average fees for different courses range from 15k to 20k per year, the fee structure for international students is different. Being a government college, the college fees isn't the major concern, accommodation and travel are. If one is a local, one may use the metro or buses, as the college is well connected to the public transport system. An outsider can get a paying guest accommodation, at a walking distance, as per one's own budget, starting from about 10k.
