Course Curriculum Overview
English Hons opens the door for various industries not just publishing and writing. Journalism, teaching, media, and public relations which are a huge industry these days, we get to study them all in our course. We also have some special electives from second year as public relations and journalism, we are allowed to chose one and go the distance in same.
Internships Opportunities
HT Media, Endemol Group and some other prominent media houses which needs Journalism students as our elective on journalism is there. So students are hired and it's not just during Summer of December break but virtual internships are provided all year round to us.
Placement Experience
Many media houses and even publications are always front runners in hiring students of our branch. Also other corporate houses as PR and Public Relations is also where our expertise lies so they get them all from us.
Fees and Financial Aid
LSR fees is like 21,000 fees and then the taxes and other stuffs make it a final of 25575. Delhi students get a certain discount and then some others for like reservation benefits and all. Sone students who are from Economic Weak Background gets 100% fees off as well.
Campus Life
A big and beautiful campus with three huge auditorium and definitely the newly built Auditorium is probayone of the best in DU. A lot of guests have made their way already into it and even our seminars and small events held there. Convocation and all also happens there and for main event Tarang, the entire campus is used.
Admission
I applied for CUET and LSR was always the choice which would have topped my list. St, Stephens was next in the list and then Gargi, JMC and others. However with an AIR of 68, it was inevitable that I choose LSR and I did the same.
Faculty
At LSR faculties are friends as mostly it's the ladies professors and all of them Masters from DU. Like all our faculties MA in English Hons and some of them have even completed their PHD too. So, their expertise and even after course going through some transition as change is inevitable. So adaptability is the biggest learning that they have given us and our professor Nidhi Jhalani is definitely my favourite.
Night Life
Hauz Khas is not so far and therefore Socials at Hauz Khas is one of our best evening spot. There are some rooftop cafes nearby and also HARD Rock Cafe is also not so far. So, all in all LSR itself is enough as we can have as much fun inside our campus but in case we want to step out we have plenty of options.
