The Syllabus is good compared to other colleges.
College timing is also very les like 16 hr per week (for SY)

Dislikes

It has a very huge intake so it might be difficult at the time of placement
the campus is very small compared to intake

I have applied for COEP, VJTI, SPIT , PICT and VIT . But as my CET score was low I got admission in VIT. Mostly the cutoff of VIT is 98.5 for OPEN category . As my pecentile was 98.41 I could not secure admission in the other applied colleges

Likes

There is application based learning and various hackathons are organised.
The faculty members are good and very supportive.
Various clubs are available to join for student and participate (both technical and non technical).

Dislikes

The campus is too short and there is also issues regarding vehicle parking
There is too much crowd which results in higher competition.
The Canteen of VIT is not that good and expected.

Admission:

I applied for PICT college but I was unable to make it and the eligible criteria for my college is more than 98%ile , Exams like MHTCET and jee were considered for admission process. There were so many students like thousands of student applied for this college.

Likes

College wifi is good in kondhwa campus and library is also decent with enough books. Campus is quiet beautifull with enough trees and that's why it feels somewhat good.

Dislikes

Campus is so small and that's why the overcrowding is main issue and causes irritation and frustration among students

Admission:

I preferred this college on top of other colleges as this was the best college available at my CET percentile and along with that I wanted to go in the field of statistics and data science and I found that course here that's why I opted for this college. Also VIT, Pune offers decent placements that's why I think I made a good decision by choosing this college.

Reality of VIT, Pune

Likes

Starting with the campus, although its very small the its very beautiful. The food in canteen is awesome. Classes are good, clean and big. Equipped with cctv and digital boards.
The students are awesome, very supportive. Overall the crowd is good, intelligent and hardworking. Some faculties are supportive in nature. They timely guide use about career, competitive exams, placements and internships.
The overall experience is very good. Their are a lot good clubs and comitees for over all extra curricular experience

Dislikes

Campus is very small in size repestively according to students. Also no facilities for sports. No ground for and professional equipments for sports. Also not enough space for parking. The location of college is also near very dangerous area.
The chances of placements and internships opportunites have been decreased due to abrupt increase in the intake of students. No enough facilities according to number of students. Also the overall location of campus is very far from city centre.

Admission:

I had applied for COEP technological University, PCCOE Pimpri, and VJTI. I got confirmed addmissions in PCCOE for mechanical course , COEP for metallurgy and VJTI for textile industry. At the last, I took addmission in VIT mechanical. VIT, Pune has good nirf rankings and rather than opting for branches like metallurgy and textile industry I choose mechanical. And between pccoe and vit I choose Vit. Vit accepts admission through cet and jee mains. Also dor dsy students it accpets through cet exam. Cutoff changes every year has been increasing as number of participants has increased. Overall, after the allotment of the college it took 3 hours to take addmission. It could be less if you have alll required documents and fees has been already paid using mean like dd.

The environment in the college is very good, especially during the fests as the clubs entertain us throughout the events
The way of teaching, problem solving skills of teachers are also pretty impressive
Canteen food is also pretty good and descent. The infrastructure and management of the college is also good

Dislikes

There is more number of companies with less package compared to the number of companies offering more than 10-12 LPA.

Admission:

Except for VIT, Pune, I had applied to colleges like PCCOE, PICT and etc colleges located in Pune itself. My JEE rank was around 77000 or 91.12 percentile and my CET percentile was 96.4, so I couldnt get into PICT. Even if i wanetd to get into PICT, i was getting the EnTC branch, which i didnt want. The admission process included firstly of CAP round followed by SPOT round. The cutoff for various branches depends on the CET and JEE Merit rank/percentile that you have got and on the basis of that youll get the branches in CAP or SPOT round.
