VIT PUNE - Pros and Cons

Course is not taught in all the college in pune. Only coep and vit are the top college who offer instrumentation and control engineering course. Design of course is good , it has all the software and hardware topics which are important according to the industry levels. We also have coding and did arduino and esp32 projects in the 1st yr itself. Exam difficulty level is moderate you can pass and achieve good grades by studying 1-2 days before exam.

Nvidia , barclays , wplter kluwers etc offers internship and ppo in our college. These are big company and offers many college student internships according to the project and skills they have. Projects are made by student every semester which help them get a good resume

I study in VIT Pune and have taken instrumentation and control engineering and I am currently in 2nd yr. This is a 4 yr course and the fees I am paying is 30k a year because I got a seat from TFWS category which is govt scheme where your tuition fees is waived off if you have better marks and your familu income is less tha 8LPA. General fees for college is 1,92,000 per year and If you apply for ews or ebc your yearly fees will be 1,12,000 per year. There is ILS round in our college separately. Other categories are obc , sc/st , fees for sc/st is around 4.5k per year and for obc with certificate is 1,12,000 per year.

Campus life is good , there are about 70 clubs you can apply for and you can really enjoy there. We have two main fests , vishwakarandak a departmental sports fest which is actually the most awaited event of our college and then there comes vishwotsav in which there are different days where you dress according to the days like traditional day , mismatch day etc. There is also prom night in vishwotsav . Classrooms are clean and big enough for the crowd. Library has different books and we can avail it by showing id card.

I applied to other pune colleges such as pccoe , coep,pict and didnt got in as cutoff was higher. Admission process is simple you just have to put in name in cap round , it accepts score from.mht cet exam and jee exam Admission can be taken from cap round , spot round as well as ILS

Some faculty are good and helpful while others not so friendly. We are actually guided well and college helps students to publish research papers and go in the research field. We have mid sems and then end sems which both are quite important. Project marks are important and it creates impact your cgpa

College area is not that great tho. Not a good night life you have to go to other side of pune to enjoy that. Hostel timing depends on which hostel you opt for but generally its around 10pm or 11pm. Famous hangout places in college are boat club , fruit canteen , minus 2 etc
