B.Tech admissions at PICT for the 2026-27 academic session follow the DTE Maharashtra CAP timeline, anchored to MHT-CET exam dates. The MHT-CET 2026 schedule and associated admission events are listed below.

Candidates applying under the All India quota (15 percent of seats) use JEE Main 2026 scores. M.Tech admissions are conducted through a separate PICT counselling process based on GATE 2026 scores, with results declared in March 2026.

PICT Courses and Fees

PICT offers undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programmes in technology and electronics disciplines. The B.Tech programme spans four years across five specialisations. Lateral entry is a three-year route open to diploma holders. The M.Tech programme is two years across three specialisations.

All five B.Tech specialisations at PICT carry an identical fee structure of INR 5,23,270 for the four-year programme. The B.Tech lateral entry fee of INR 3,93,865 covers the three-year programme across all branches. M.Tech fees of INR 2,38,460 are uniform across the three available specialisations. These are general quota fees for the 2026 academic year.

PICT Admission Process

B.Tech admissions at PICT are conducted entirely through the DTE Maharashtra Centralised Admission Process (CAP). 85 percent of the total seats are allocated under the Maharashtra State quota, based on MHT-CET PCM percentile scores. The remaining 15 percent seats are filled through the All India quota using JEE Main ranks.

The basic eligibility for B.Tech admission is a pass in Class 12 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, securing a minimum aggregate of 45 percent in PCM. Reserved category candidates are eligible at 40 percent. JEE Main candidates must hold a score from the current academic year.

PICT is among the most sought-after private engineering colleges in Maharashtra for Computer Engineering and Information Technology. The MHT-CET percentile cutoff for these branches under the State quota for OMS (Outside Maharashtra State) candidates typically falls in the 97 to 99 percentile range. The average package was INR 10.11 LPA and the median UG salary was INR 8,37,500 as per NIRF 2025 data. The highest package of INR 91 LPA was recorded in the same season. Its government quota fees are significantly lower than both PICT and VIIT, but competition for COEP seats through DTE CAP is among the highest in the state. PICT and VIIT are both private autonomous colleges under SPPU with comparable academic structures.
