VIT begins applications for five-year integrated MTech and MSc programmes across four campuses; last date is May 25.

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has started the Integrated M.Tech and Integrated M.Sc admissions for 2026 across its four campuses in Vellore, Chennai, Andhra Pradesh, and Bhopal.
Eligible Class 12 students can apply online for five-year programmes in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, and allied fields. The application window opened on January 28, 2026, and candidates must complete registration, document upload, and fee payment before the deadline of May 25, 2026.

How to Apply Online For VIT Integrated MTech & MSc Admission 2026
The VIT application process is fully digital. Follow these steps:
- New user registration and then login
- Fill application form
- Pay fee
- Upload photo & signature
- Download filled form
- Upload required documents
Make sure all details match Class 12 records to avoid rejection.
Admissions are strictly merit-based, and the university prepares ranks using the average marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in Class 12.
In case two students have the same score, the tie is resolved by giving priority to Mathematics marks first, followed by Physics, then Chemistry, and finally overall total marks. Seats are allotted based on the candidate’s rank, campus preference, and programme choice, and once a seat is allotted, no changes are allowed under any circumstances.
To apply, candidates must be Resident Indian nationals, should have completed regular full-time schooling in India, and must be born on or after July 1, 2006. For eligibility marks, students applying to Vellore and Chennai campuses need at least 70% aggregate in PCM, while those opting for AP and Bhopal campuses require 65%.

A 10% relaxation is provided for SC/ST candidates and students from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and North-Eastern states, reducing the requirement to 60% for Vellore/Chennai and 55% for AP/Bhopal.
Students applying for AI and Bioinformatics can also qualify through the PCB (Biology) stream. NRI and foreign applicants must apply through a separate portal and pay a programme fee of $5600 per year.
After the selection process, shortlisted candidates receive a provisional admission letter, after which they must submit campus and course preferences, complete the full tuition fee payment online, and wait for orientation and class commencement details via email.
The university will soon announce the orientation schedule, academic calendar, and document verification process. Students should keep essential documents ready, including Class 10 and 12 marksheets, valid ID proof, category certificate (if applicable), and nativity certificate for eligible states.
