Likes

There is application based learning and various hackathons are organised.
The faculty members are good and very supportive.
Various clubs are available to join for student and participate (both technical and non technical).

Dislikes

The campus is too short and there is also issues regarding vehicle parking
There is too much crowd which results in higher competition.
The Canteen of VIT is not that good and expected.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is good which insist us to implement real life application like creating project , participating in hackathon and subjects like UHV teaches us human values and ethics helping us to be a good human being .

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 212000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies visit VIT pune for to hire interns for backend or frontend developer most of them are software based interns. The internships are unpaid but you get certification which add up to your resume.

Placement Experience

In fourth year like before end semester most of the students are employable. The highest package as of now (2024-2025) is 51LPA offered by UBER and many companies visit like Capgemini , Wipro etc and NVIDIA too came for some year .

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee of a year is about Rs2,12,000 and there are reservation benefits like for OBC it is Rs1,22,000 and SC and ST is very less like around 20-30k .The TFWS fee is around Rs31,000 and for EWS it is Rs1,22,000.

Campus Life

There are many events organized like Vishwotasav , Vishwakarandak and crescendo . The library has enough stuff available and also many technical events are organised like hackathons and many clubs take initiative to promote it

Admission

I applied for PICT college but I was unable to make it and the eligible criteria for my college is more than 98%ile , Exams like MHTCET and jee were considered for admission process. There were so many students like thousands of student applied for this college.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is about 1:40 and most of the faculty member are very supportive especially talking about my favourite one is Sayali mam teaching Data analyst she insisted not just only on learning but implementing and as she is our class teacher so she is very supportive and we can ask and discuss any problem to her . There are total 2 exams mid semester and end semester in which half of the paper are online based and calculus has offline paper

Night Life

The gym is too small and not that good to go there many cafeteria and canteens are there , the only best thing is library along with reading hall the public area is good . The campus gets closed at 9pm .

My college is not enough good for the average student.because placement % is not good enough for the students.as i know that the highest package offer in our college is the 7 LPA and many students are take package but not all students are take this opportunity.My plan after getting the degree is to take a good package from company.in my college there are 2-3 company are come for the civil engineering.in there the ultratech and ambuja are included

Life of a mech_engineer at VJTI

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

Reality of VIT, Pune

I had applied for COEP technological University, PCCOE Pimpri, and VJTI. I got confirmed addmissions in PCCOE for mechanical course , COEP for metallurgy and VJTI for textile industry. At the last, I took addmission in VIT mechanical. VIT, Pune has good nirf rankings and rather than opting for branches like metallurgy and textile industry I choose mechanical. And between pccoe and vit I choose Vit. Vit accepts admission through cet and jee mains. Also dor dsy students it accpets through cet exam. Cutoff changes every year has been increasing as number of participants has increased. Overall, after the allotment of the college it took 3 hours to take addmission. It could be less if you have alll required documents and fees has been already paid using mean like dd....Read More
